- One of my ebike crew brought over his new Wired Freedom and we had some fun racing against my Kepler. Both are 1000 watt ebikes but the Wired peaks at higher wattage.

You need to unlock the full power of the wired! Change the settings & it will smoke the Kepler!
Also that's the old version 22' freedom that's slower. I purchased the newest version that'll be shipped to me january. Sucks to wait so long but screw it, I keep watching vids etc about the bike in the mean time and haven't seen or heard anything bad about the most recent version💪
@@dawhoda1 I just received the new cruiser had it up to 38 MPH on a slight downhill. I'm 6'2 & 250. It's a beast!
That was bad planning having a half battery to go out testing.😭
you need to adjust the setting to unleash the freedoms true power...it's actually a good bit faster than the kepler
That what I was going to say. It definitely is still in the stock mode
There's like 4 or 5 adjustments to get Max torque and spreed from it.
The green color looks pretty sharp. Since you have access to both bikes, you can make the ultimate comparison, and get 20k views in the process. You should ride both bikes over the same course with the same rider and note the time difference. Same with top speed. In lower pedal assist levels, the bike doesn’t jerk at all, I rarely use more than PAS 4. Throttle can be tamed by setting C5 to 1 or 2. Adjust the rear spring for your weight to get the most out of the full suspension as your friend is a really big dude.
Setting C5 can be actually adjusted to setting 1 (mild initial throttle) to 10 (2000+ watts at initial throttle). The latter is fun, but dangerous for everyday use in my opinion. I keep mine at 2
What about parts for the wired?
Great day to ride.
for us newbie Freedom owners, is there a good video on operating this bike?? Thanks.
Check out the Citizen Cycle channel he has some good vids on it.
Cool bikes.. I know that Wired has a new model out.. I like the mirrors on both bikes.. My only thing is that they might catch on stuff in tight spaces..
@0:21 (and your graphic @1:11) you state the Wired Freedom has a 20 amp controller, that is incorrect. It has a 40 amp controller which allows 2400 maximum watts to be delivered to the motor
correct, just mis-spoke, 1st time seeing the bike
Your buddy needs to learn to mount and dismount from the left side. Good video. Which would you buy if you had to pick and pay with your hard earned money?
Probably would depend on how tall i was. Both are very similar, Freedom get you a tad more speed and tad more watt hours. Freedom is a little easier to mount. They are very close. I will spend more time with the freedom this month.
You were in 4th gear instead of 7th during the top speed run
yes he was ghosting in 4th!
In 7th you have feeling in the pedals to about 32-33mph. Needs an 11 cog in back for feeling at 33+. It would be nice to see a real objective test of acceleration and top speed of both, but unless the laws of physics fail to apply, we know how that’s going end. The Wired should top out at 3mph or so faster with the same rider on the same course and significantly better acceleration since they both weigh about the same but the Wired peaks at about 2300 watts vs 1800 watts. Wired holds about 1900 watts with open throttle. Not sure about the Kepler.
Ah thanks, I will be doing more videos with it.
Hey Chris, definitely a fast bike good value at 2k 👌👌
Screaming through the screen SHIFT! SHIFT! Dam dude you have 3 higher gears…
I like the mirrors on the Kepler more than the ones on the Freedom, where can I get those?
You need to buy the left and right separately amzn.to/45gQddy
The Wired Freedom is a 1500 watt Hentac motor, not a 1000 watt motor.
It peaks at 2200+ watts, supposedly 2400 watts on the 40 smp controller.
It's a beast for the money.
You need to make it fair and carry 2 forty pound bags of dog food on your back!
Lol
Nice to see a two hundred fifty pound person... Test these bikes.. All the other testers are a 175 pounds.
I did 39.5 mph the other day pedaling on flat ground with the Kepler and throttle.. Fun stuff.
What is your weight?
@@joeschmuckatelli3198 195 lbs.
Ghost peddling with a bike that can go that fast is dangerous! Were you certain of what gear you were in?
Why would you consider comparing between the 2 bikes if the batteries are at around 50% ? It is a useless comparison. ?
This was just a first impression video not a full comparison
I pedal at 36 to 38 on the Kepler
The wired is performing too poorly here..check if the settings are unlocked,,and try a retest video
No torque sensor?
Torque sensors are good for 20 year olds with lots of pedal power, but cadence sensors are much better for older riders or those with physical limitations
@@dp9324 if they have any interest in improving their fitness, perhaps a torque sensor is prudent.
What most people are going to do is unleash the power potential of these e-bikes . This is what you should have done with both to do a real comparison.
I didn't think that style bars match the frame and the display was to low myself.
The display comes mounted on the higher bar. I decided to move it, but with those types of handle bars you get much better handling and the flexibility to move the screen and mount more accessories.
If freedom was set up right it would do a wheelie and smoke other bike
Of course your are ghost pedaling on your speed test... you never upshifted into the highest gear! 🤦🤷 And you need to go into settings to unlock the full power potential of the Freedom which will then have way more power than the Kepler.
Change the gears, you're only in 4th gear
Have EMD on speed dial
Nice running stop signs
ya... been seeing alot of the videos do that... Just showing kids that laws dont apply to them or the rider.. you can get ticketed just as easy as a car.. if you blow by a stop sign or red light.. and Johnny Law is watching.
@@greatfullded and it just promotes bad behavior cause sooner or later....
Yep... when electric bikes starts becomming a issue with everyone cause of ppl not being curtious to other, they will start putting a ban on electric bikes in places where its legal now, just wait and see..@@user-kk2xv4dt6h
Nice no helmets too, brain fart...(sponsor is a helmet company, go figure).
@user-kk2xv4dt6h Don't be such a uninformed citizen. Delaware, Idaho, and Minnesota allow cyclists (by law) to treat stop signs as they do "yield" signs, and Idaho, Indiana, South Carolina, Utah, Virginia, and Wisconsin allow cyclists (by law) to proceed through red lights after a certain number of seconds which vary by State. The "Idaho Stop" laws have been around since 1982!
The guy weight more than you
Anything over 28 miles per hour is illegal..and teo mirrors are stupid
Over 28 is not illegal on private property and farm/rural roads. Again, I recommend you get informed before you post on the internet
@@dp9324 did I mention private property what a tool
