Thank you, you explained very well!Thank you once again!😊🙏
You’re very welcome! Happy sailing! ⚓️
Nice! I was reading the tohatsu 3.5 instructions manual and it seems to have a confusion about open/close choke. Did you see that?
You dont need to pull the cord to shut it off, just press the big red button inwards and it will stop.
So how do you stop the engine if you fall overboard? You can't push the big red button in because the cord keeps the button in the open position as it is a safety feature. If you fall overboard with the cord attached to yourself, it will pull the cord out cutting the electrical circuit to the spark plugs and kill the engine preventing serious injury. If you had to push the button in to stop it as you suggested, then why have a safety cord? Hope that clears things up for you, happy sailing!
@@skipperstan try it and you see what i mean, the cord has to be attached to be able to start the engine but it also activates the red stop button.
So leave the cord in the engine and push the red stop button and the engine will stop with the cord still attached to the engine, in other words, you can stop the engine by either pulling the cord OR pushing the red button, both ways will shut it off, but the cord has to be in place for the engine to start.
That goes for most outboard engines, including tohatsu 3.5 hp, i have one myself so i know it works that way, hope that clearify things for you lol
@@SignedSign that's really interesting, I honestly never knew that, much appreciated! I will give it a go and report back, I might even make a quick video showing it. Many thanks for the tip! 👍⚓
Sometimes no waters coming out of the hole because it’s plugged with salt deposits and you can clean it with a paperclip
Yes, that's a good point! Worth checking that hole is clear as well. Thanks!
