- With multiple requests to discuss some of the Humanoids comics Mike has in his collection, it was due time to go through them all! Humanoids is a fantastic publisher in Europe that has brought over historic comics translated to English for all to enjoy.

The Metabarons: Second Cycle will be reprinting the volumes you showcased in one volume in may of 2020 for $ 44.999(at Amazon). I hadn't seen those before and thanks to your recommendations, I`ll be picking that up.
I don't know how things are in the states, but here in Europe the American comic section, or just comics for short, are easily distinguishable from the rest.
Its simple, comics = super heroes in tights with ridiculous superpowers, re-adaptation after re-adaptation of old comic heroes. How many Batman and Spiderman we have?
The variety of European comics is HUMONGOUS in comparison.
Fantasy, Sci-Fi, historic, polar, alternate universe, cyberpunk, western. You name it they have it!
If you like the humanoids you will like the work of Moebius, a founder member of humanoids.
If you like Moebius, you will like Giraud. They are the same guy under different names.
If you like Giraud, you must read if possible Blueberry.
A western comic better than many American western movies, old or modern.

The Metabarons second cycle is complicated and available in a Hardcover collection but is not oversized edition.

Good stuff, I think I might check out Dragonseed and Downward to Earth. I just finished reading The Metabaron Vol 3 and I think I might like it as much as The Metabarons, excited to get Vol 4 when it's printed (delayed due to pandemic). Other Jodorworsky books I love are Borgia, Madwoman of the Sacred Heart, Technopriests and my favorite is Son of the Gun with Bess on art. Other Humanoids to look at; I would recommend Loving Dead and Retroworld.
Also, find it weird that we have such a taboo against any nudity in comics over in North America, but are totally find with crazy violence. I like that european comics just treat nudity and sex as something that is just normal to put into a story, just as normal as violence.
I'm trying to be a full-time writer and I've considered giving submissions to them or Mad Cave.
Hi Mike, I own about 60 HC from Humanoids, Carthago and C. Adventures, Sanctum and Sactum Genesis, Bouncer (I might have missed if you mentioned these) . But if you like European comics and Sci-fi genre, please check out The Rise and Fall of the Trigan Empire 1&2. 3 comes out in June I believe. Those are very thick trades. Just check it out ;) I promise you you sill not regret it!

TJM060765 Yeah... Someone on my recent collection video asked for a humanoids overview, as did someone during our live stream last night, so I recorded the video this morning! When I saw Omar’s video I literally sent it to my channel partner Matt and said “Dude, what are the chances!”

Have you ever encountered any Humanoids book with subpar art? Do you know of any other comic book imprint that does not greenlight subpar art?
Derrick Chua The Humanoid books I’ve read have all had killer art. Honestly, since the reboot Valiant has had consistently fantastic art! The only book with slightly subpar artwork was Livewire, and that was only true for the last arc...
Just avoid the stuff they are doing with American creators and you should be good

These french-belgian books are a relief when you're tired of those so caled "comic book pros" from Marvel/DC who are more worried to push their agendas than tell us a good story!

Chris M Mine was so damaged I asked Amazon for a replacement, haven’t even taken the shrink wrap off!
That sucks. I order nothing from Amazon as every book I ordered came damaged- hard to understand how a company that big continues with that. U don’t order from IST?

Humanoids looks interesting but unfortunately they hired Mark Waid and I dont support criminals.
@WinterXL Or that Mark wave confessed on Twitter that he committed tortious interference which is a crime that he's being sued for.

Do you own research. Richard c meyer is also the father of 3 mixed race kids but mark still makes statements that he is a white supremacist because mark hates his politics and his pro customer mindset
