WOW ! THIS IS GREAT ! Their 1969 lp 'Spooky Two' is genuine classic .....still stands up to this day. Superb writing, singing and production. I remember wishing their label would have promoted them better, t6hey should have been much bigger in the States. This song, Waiting for The Wind, is a gem and this performance sounds like they never aged.....
Born in "51", this music guided me through the early days and nights of College in the North of Wisconsin 70,71,72 and 73. Underground FM ruled the airwaves....long live us all.
His voice is still perfect, so perfect. I was singing Feelin' Bad all day to day and resisted listening to it until I could sing more than one verse. Of course I had to listen to Waitin' for the Wind, I cannot hear one song off of Spooky Two without going in for the whole thing. Those five drum notes and my heart soars, Waitin', you bet!
+hlamart1 Wow man, you got that ALL right !! This is a gr8 song on an even better Album. & your right...in for a penny, in for a pound , people who share this have good taste!
SPOOKY TOOTH REALLY STATED THE EMOTIONAL OUTBIRSTS OF THE YOUNGER GENERATION....IN THE 60S.....LIKE NO OTHER GROUP.....AND I MUST SAY....THAT HEARING THEIR MUSIK.....THESE DAYS....PUTS ME BACK IN THE 60S GENERATION.....LIKE NO OTHER.....
Sadly underrated group back in the day. Amazing reunion-voices still intact and great instrumental chops-I would have love to have been in Hamburg that day..
These guys are about as good as they come; 1970's to 2008...It's special to hear them again through this medium. Mr. Harrison, Mr. Wright, and Mr. Kellie, I hope you keep up the fine work!
I remember these guys when I was in Highschool back in the late 60s. A comment was made earlier about this type of music and today's so called "classic rock". I couldn't agree more. Bands like this were so far "above" mainstream music, even for when they were really popular. For someone my age (55), it does my heart good to see that they still have what it takes to deliver the goods.
Wow! Surprised how good they still sound...remember we are talking about 60+ year old blokes! If you didn't see Mike Harrison, you would think his voice is still that of someone in their prime!
The core of the band still sound great-after all these years Harrison's voice hasn't lost it's distinctive soulfulness...sort of amazing. Nice guitar work too.
High quality song writing with a great live performance makes this a treat to find here on you tube. I remember them from way back and here they are - incredible.
Good Friends on stage. Guests "Bexi" Becker & Joey Albrecht ! My good friend Mike R.I.P. ! Last concert with Spooky Tooth . Brilliant band, it's very sad that we can't meet us here anymore. Mike I miss you so much, we see us later again, Keep a place beside you.
sppoky 2 was one our fave LP s back in the day , it had the feel , no girly music here , the real deal and we always respecteed the groups that could do it live , most members went on to do some great stuff , but never better than when they were in the TOOTH ....
age is mind over matter. if you don't mind it doesn't matter.(or something like that). I was there then and I, but for the grace of God, am here now. das ist sehr gute mein friend.
I found this song on a live recording ( last track on 'Mike Harrison meets the Hamburg Blues Band' CD ). Apparently, audio engineers from Singapore to Auckland in NZ and cities in Australia, play this track when demonstrating up-market audio equipment, e.g. speaker values in region of NZ$20,000. The song is a classic, the dynamics are incredible, and it is possibly the finest live band recording - - much better than the original studio version.
Foreigner has always been my favorite band of all time. Although I never thought a lot of the work of Spooky Tooth, this song really kicks it good! Very strong performance! Would love to see live clips from '72 to '74. Do any exist?
Sometimes it's hard to watch & listen to oldies bands who can't bring it anymore but they still sound great, they can still blow away many of today's bands. When & where is this from?
Mike Harrison has one of the greatest voices in rock music!

This is evergreen!! The sound is amazingly intact. Gary Wright has aged remarkably well!

Nice to see a bunch of us with a mutual like of an era gone by...Yet it still lives!

cannot be-LEEV how fabulous Harrison sounded in this [RIP]

One of the most soulful and under apreciated bands ever.
Fantastic!!!! As good today as they were back then. Highly under rated group.
The core of the band still sound great-after all these years Harrison's voice hasn't lost it's distinctive soulfulness...sort of amazing. Nice guitar work too.

They sound GREAT......loved this album when it came out in '71!!
Came out before 71 my friend.
They don't know how many times I listened to this album while tripping or, in lean times, simply stoned. It makes a difference and bonds me to them.
Man what a great concert!
Totally awesome!
Sound as good as they did almost 40 years ago.
Amazing!
High quality song writing with a great live performance makes this a treat to find here on you tube. I remember them from way back and here they are - incredible.

R.i.P Mike Harrison died yesterday
oh, met him and spooky 6 years ago in hamburg. had nice conversation with him. Sorry to read this. R.I.P. Mike
Damn, a great talent, and very influential, since a lot of bands ripped off this very song, in a less creative way, R.I.P
surprisingly good =)
Me too - Kent State (Ohio). Still remember this one during my freshman year (69-70)

vangelisideras a
Harrison sounds stronger and better than he did on the original. What's he taking to sound so good at his age. i'd like some of that.
Nailed it better than the studio!
Didn't Mick Jones (Foreigner) play with these guys?
Jimmy Hart indeed correct.
Sometimes it's hard to watch & listen to oldies bands who can't bring it anymore but they still sound great, they can still blow away many of today's bands. When & where is this from?
SUPER, TOP TITEL,
