This song, and the album it was on, played over and over for hours one night back in 1976. The memories it brings back when I hear it play are awesome. When I was a young man, and she was fascinating and mysterious……. Those days are long gone, but Gary’s music is still with us!👍😁🎸🥁🇺🇸❤️
Killer
I was there!
Goddamn, we had a lot of testosterone. The food was better, music was better ,The politics were better , life was fucking great. Fuck Democrats
Gary Wright never really got the credit he truly deserved for his incredible songwriting.
Spooky II, rock in it in late 60’s, putting up fence with my Anchor buddies, Cleveland
What a great show 🤟🏼😎🤟🏼
Spiking somebody's drink is what criminals do before they kill. It's a criminal offense.!?!?😢😮😢😮
Mike and Gary you must be rocking in Heaven, wow, I love your music and your talent, what a combo that was, Outstanding. I hope the audience there understood what they saw life, a testament to flawless majestic rock music. Yes, they sound better than in the 70ties, I WISH so much they would have recorded this.
It's the 20th time I watch this and the second I comment and not to sound redundand, I LOVE this band, listen to these two (now Defunct , RIP, great great Gentlemen, why do always the golden ones leave us ?) it is fantastic.
Wonderful!!! RIP Gary!!!! great admiration from Brazil!!!!

They just nailed it.. and then there's Tobacco Road..killer stuff.

I had their spooky tooth/ spooky two album , loved all the songs my daughter did too had them put on a CD later,
Hell Yeah our Love is still Alive in 2024 and Forever.. Thanks to You.. Gary.... Mr Dilly.. Will always Approve!! 🙏🎶❤️
a person dedicated this to me before he died... I'm glad my love for him is eternal and one of the greatest
Never realized he sang this song until today. Was listening to Dream Weaver and this song was next. Wow this too is a true classic
this band was AMAZING to say the least, Gary was fantastic, (RIP) Harrison sings fantastic, this whole concert I wish so much. I would have seen it. WOW
Anyone know what year this was ???
1976
Steve Porcaro on keyboards ! Wow!
Recognize :)
Mike Harrison sounds as good as ever. Amazing!
Awesome ❤
Anybody else think that these guys somehow influenced Clutch?
With Steve Porcaro on keyboards. Very cool.
This is Great. Also really like Judas priest version as well.
This guy had a knack for finding some great sessions drummers.
Spooky Tooth played in Detroit quite a bit in the early 70s...Masonic Temple and a couple other venues. Does anyone know for sure who was in the touring outfit in those years? This was around the You Broke my Heart and Witness releases...not before. I didn't realize until recently that Mick Jones was in the recording band during this era. Thank you.
Incredibley talented, we miss you tremendously Gary!!❤
Can't believe I've been listening to this for 55yrs and still love this song.
What an amazing performance to stumble on to. Mike Harrison sounds as good as ever. Remarkable!
Mike Harrison's and Gary Wright's vocals just seem to compliment each other. Gary wrote the song. He is one of my musical heroes.
I seen him Peter Frampton and the Beach Boys at 3River stadium in 76
Woman evil woman

Pocaro is a one man blizzard here.
Man Killer
One of the best super groups of all time
I do believe living in South Cal. in the 1970's was the apex of human civilization. It will never get better than this.
Your not going to find a vocalist like that for your garage band
I miss this time so bad you can tell he was having so much fun up on that stage that day look at his face
Yes another icon gone we are all getting old excellent music
Lost a great man
MAGIC!!!!!!!
Great rock band.
I usually don’t leave comments on videos, ever. But I just had to express how much I appreciate & love this video after watching it just now for the first time. Weirdly enough, I found out about Gary Wright through the show Family Guy. They used the audio from a Japanese cover of “Dream Weaver” for a couple of seconds in a scene (S15, Ep. 8 if curious), and the song sounded so angelic and beautiful. Anyhow, after discovering Mr. Wright, the next song I found of his was this masterpiece right here, “Love is Alive”. This song is so simple and pure in the most pulchritudinous way. Everytime the chorus starts up, it strikes a dopamine-inducing nerve inside of me. The synths, the groove, his voice; I love everything about this song. I was listening to it just now in my headphones and decided to see if there was a live version. Then I come here and it’s bittersweet, because I found out Mr. Wright passed away just 3 months ago !? :( I’m only 25, and didn’t grow up introduced to these incredible sounds. Just seeing the crowd and the band so present, in-tune, and lively is really breath-taking. Everyone just seems to be existing in a way that doesn’t really occur anymore. There’s no phones and no pretentiousness and no distractions. I watched this video and I just cried, because everything about it is so awesome and I’m so jealous of this time. This video is truly a look back at history. And for people like me, who are fans of artists from time’s past, videos like this mean the world to me. It allows me to live in this moment and transports me to another place where all that matters is the music. So so sad to hear that Gary has passed, as I would have loved to see him in concert. But real music never dies. This song was released in 1975, and hearing it for the first time in 2022, the song still holds all of the magic that I’m sure I t had when it was initially released all those years ago.. Rest in heaven & thank you for the music Gary Wright.
