Loved this. It took me back to my mother and grandmothers ❤️. There were no processors then. The grating was arduous 😥 but they would make anything for us out of love. ❤️❤️ Yiddish was my first language, But when we moved out of Brooklyn to a small town in Pennsylvania. There were no Jewish people. The children wouldn’t play with me. My parents then decided only English will be spoken.
This is very nice, especially with your grandson! But I always squeeze out the water, or let it drain over a colander. It splatters less oil, and the latkes don’t become soggy. But everyone has their own recipe!
Truth in advertising: Leyzer really is an "adorable grandson!"

@@grolketh354 Love Yiddish but hate Forverts which is a communist leftist rag. Sickening it is associated with the Yiddish language.
A fantastic helper Rukhl!
I would love Yiddish subtitles to be able to follow along and learn the words I might’ve missed otherwise
Glad to see you use the same shortcuts that I do. No peeling a no draining of potatoes.chag sameach
