Very nice finish on the build Bryan. It was cool to see it come together over the past few months. I appreciate all of your support with my build as well. Thanks bud!
Thanks James! You were the wind sick on a couple deals that helped me out on mine! Very cool to not to each other, build the same kit and have them come out completely different! 😊
Looks great! Gives you that 50’s vibe sleeper with that ol flat head dolled up!
Thank you so much Don!! man, i was really hoping some one would be able nail down the best way to describe the build.......and that is it man!! Thanks again!!
I love how your build came out! Especially that BG blue. That UFO reversed engineered intake system is cool.
Hi Alan, thank you so much!! It just all came together so nice! Thanks again for the very kind comments too!
Nice build looks like something you'd drive home from the dealership. Aside from the Acrylic Lemon peel (Acrylics can be hard without levelers) your color came out really unique, mixing is a fun side hobby been using up lots of plastic dixie sized cups for testing the look of mixes. It's great fun. Keep up the great work!
Tip: If using Tamiya Acylics try Mr. color Self leveling thinner, it really helps smooth that paint by slowing the cure time a little (Not too big a deal though) as it also adds some hardening for durability. The Leveling thinner will aid in laying a smooth silky skin paint layer and should reduce the Lemon peel result Tamiya is known for with just basic thinner. The leveling aspect is the key.
P.S Lemon peel is a term I coined for Acrylics due to the natural tendency for them to dry with a Chalkboard/Wall paint texture, usually from thinning with Alcohol, Water or Windex (Egads!!!) or without a leveler or retarder (With Brush painting you need the retarder, a must with Metallics). I love Tamiya paints but I've learned a lot of neat tricks to get that stuff looking awesome without needing to wet sanding everything afterwards, which if you don't use levelers then is a must to get that mirror finish.
Thank you for the tips
Love the color and those engine mods are really neat! Congratulations on finishing. An accomplishment in and of itself!
Thank you so much James! I was sweating it there at the end, but it was still a really fun build! Hope you get a chance to build one if you haven't yet.
Wow Bryan! This turned out beautifully. Love the colors and that shine is awesome. I think that the "extras" that you did make it stand out even better.
Tom S.
Hi Tom! Thank you so much!! I feel this one was really worth the extra work. 😁. By the way, I owe you an email response about the tank info.
I do like how the rims contrast with that blue. What a beautiful build.
Thank you Chris! It's a classic look for sure!
Your 40 Ford turned out great Bryan. The BG blue is an interesting color in itself. It really works well with the wheels. That flat head with the bug-eyed intakes is excellent.
Hi Vince! Thank you so much my friend! This was fun to do, and I got to raid the parts box and knock that down a few pieces. 😊
very nice build Bryan!
Great looking Hot Rod BG, that color really knocks it out of the park. And the motor looks fantastic. Good work .
Hi Bob, thank you!! 😊 the stock intake just did seem to fit thee rest of the build.
Looking good!
Thank you!
Nice build Bryan!!! I love the simple but detailed look about the car and yeah, your signature blue is really nice on this car. Paint looks very "wet " real slick 👍🏁 I like the stance of this car. The flattie engine is a real work of art, congrats Bryan!
Hi Raymond! Thank you so much!! I am glad you like it! 😊 it is maybe one of my top five favorite builds now!
Very beautiful color and build Bryan and salt flat racer would be cool for next year!
Hi Shawn, I plan to take on my Salt flat racer soon. should be a fun challenge since i have never chopped a top before. 😊
Well done !
Thank you Terry!
Beautiful build job, Bryan.
Thank you Marc!
Great looking 40 Bryn!!!! The engine is Awesome!!! Well Done!!!
Hi Michael, thank you!
That came out fantastic Bryan. I love the look and the engine compartment is awesome. Ron
Hi Ron! thanks my friend! I really wanted to give this a 50's hot rod vibe! 😊
Fantastic build Bryan.
Thank you so much Eric!! 😊
It looks fantastic. Very nice color combo on the 40, it looks very stylish. Great job :-)
Hi Kim, thank you mate!
My very first glance, the wheels caught my eye. Those baby moons make that car…absolutely stunning!!! Color with the wheels are perfect.
Hi Terry! thank you so much my friend! the inspiration car photo lead us down a very cool and creative path on this one! I am looking forward to using BG blue on more builds!
Great color, the intake is awesome, and red wheels are classic, turned out really good Bryan, :)
Thanks Tom. I think you said it best, the whole car is just classic!!
I LOVE YOUR MODEL!
Well thank you!
Very cool, nice engine detail. It's good to mix paint to get a different color than having the same stock colors great job Bryan.
Thank you so much and i fully agree, i really want to mix more paint colors for my own use, maybe even a Chevy engine orange
Nice work on the 40 Bryan, the colors are great, and I love what you did with the flathead intake system. Very cool build!
Thank you so much Jeff! I am really proud of this build
That came out great Bryan!
Thank you John! I really got into this build in a big way and want to build another one!
All of these 40's came out awesome!
Thank you so much, and the other really out did them selves, too!! 😁
Nice work BG! Been keeping up to date with all the 40 Ford builds and reveals, she looks like a real sleeper, that engine work is on point, I reckon my fav engine of all the builds. Look forward to the next few projects!
WOW!! thank you so much Luke!! I apologize for the late response! thanks again for the kind comment!
Thats come out really nice Bryan, beautiful work on this. BG Blue, what a thing lol.
Thank you so much mate!! 😊 I think i may need to make More of this color!
Nice result Bryan. You are in an entirely higher level of jedi scale modeling since my kits have not spoken to me yet😁
Hi David, lol, I suppose a model kit speaks to us on many levels. Otherwise we wouldn't buy it in the first place! 😊
Love the blue!!! Engine looks pretty bad ass!!! Great work again!!!
Thanks Chris, I am really excited about this one!
Ooh clean!
Love this build. The color is amazing. You did a great job with this one.
Thank you so much!!
Wow, this turned out amazing Bryan. I like that you deleted the rain rails and side rails etc. The suicide doors would have been cool. But you hit this one out of the part and love the rims
Thank you so much Joe! I really felt like I was behind the curve with the other builders. Next time the doors will be suicidal! 😁
Very well done, you knocked it out of the park Bryan!!!
WOW! thank you so much Tim!! That means a lot to me!
I wish their were cottage companies that made assorted outer door handles, inner door cranks other then photo etched. There is probably money to be made from this industry. I see what's already out there and there is room for improvement. That would be great if AMT came out with door dress up parts among other doo dads.
Hi Howard, I agree. I had heard Fireball Models have door handles in resin that are rather nice, but I am not sure if they are for late model cars only or not.
Looks great Bryan, nice choice of wheels, tires and hub caps. I just got a kit for Christmas and decided to start it today and noticed that the GB is ending. I'm going to build it anyway as a rusty barn find.
Hi Steve, thank you so much, i saw you just uploaded the video today , the weathering looks awesome!!
Bryan you are a master. The car looks awesome. I think it's time for you to start your own paint line now.
Hi Vic, lol, thank you. One color wonder! 😁
Good job Bryan!!! I love that color blue!
Thank ypu so much! I have a feeling it will show up on some more builds in the future 😉
Nice work!! I love that blue!! It looks really good with the red wheels. 👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you Jason!! you are right, those colors just look so cool together!
Amazing build Bryan love that colour the magnets are brilliant for things like this 👍
Hi Seamy, thanks mate!! It was such a fun challenge! I love using these magnets! Really help out my builds!
Turned out awesome Bryan. Great stance. Love the engine details. Color combo is sweet
Hi Jorge! Thank you my friend, that truly means a lot to me!
Looks great Bryan. Love that engine. 🙂🙃🙂🙃👍👍👍👍
Thanks Charlie!! 😀
Catching up on videos! Wow what a great build BG!
Thanks Brandon! I honestly feel this is one of my best!
Nice work. I like the changes you made, by removing the drip rail and the trim. Really cool over all look, and it is neat how you now have a shop color. 👍
Hi Kurt! THank you so much. The drip rail was a gamble. I am glad it payed off!! 😊
The 40 looks great Bryan. I love that flathead Ford engine, nice detailing on it. Well, first we had Mac Green, now we have BG Blue, I guess I better grab a color before they are all spoken for (with my luck the the only colors left would be a plaid or something)!😁
Hi Mike! thank you so much!! LOL yeah man, Mac Green, BG Blue and Pappy Red! get you a color ASAP!! 😆
I gotta tell ya BG.....that is one shape looking Ford Coupe. Love that color and the business end just looks killer man.
WOW!! thank you so much Zippi!! 😊
Gorgeous Coupe, Bee Gee. A+ (The models TALKING to you needs discussing though .....)
LOL! yeah they some times beg for me to set them free
She’s a beaut, Bryan! Love the colour and the detail. I’m fighting with aligning magnets right now so I can understand what you are going through. My first time and I keep loosing them as well as the issues with alignment.
Hi Peter, thank you! And for the magnets I have a trick if you would like to hear it?
@@BGsModelWorkshop Hi, Bryan. I would love to hear any suggestions you may have. Right now they are semi levitating because they are somewhat cattywampus.
@@lazyeyedmodeler-woodyworkshop I gotcha! Ok, I shall make a quick video and try to have bit up this evening!

👍👌😎🍺🍺🍻
*laughs* "I didn't wanna show you that but I did anyways."
My favorite so far and No, yours is not the 1st reveal I've watched.
One bad habit I would like to break is showing off stuff I don't want to show off! 😊
Thank you Raoul! The other guys did some amazing work on theirs, but I am very pleased with mine!
Nah... I wouldn't break them if it were me. It's honest, real. And it gives hacks like me at the hobby a little relief. And your reaction to your honesty is hilarious to me. I've caught a couple other off the cuff (borderline inappropriate) comments. I find them hysterical and totally watchable.
@Raoul Duke I am so glad you catch them and enjoy them too! 😊 always wonder if folks are getting my "colorful" comments. 😁
Same as more better er 😜.
Lol! 😁
Nice build! I like James’ better though. 🙁
James' build is nice.
Another awesome build Bryan looks awesome with the wheels and tires the suicide doors would’ve really set it off but it’s still looking great k.u.t.g.w.
Yeah, I suppose I can still go back and move the door handles 😁 thanks Jeff!!
