I enjoy the history of your kits. I too would celebrate a new job by purchasing a model kit with the first check. I can’t get enough of your videos. You express your passion and it comes shining through-keep the “rambling “ and interjections. So entertaining!!
A very good video. Thanks Luka.
Probably my favorite box art from back in the day. That kit was one of the first 3 kits I built back then. Still to this day my favorite real car. Thank you and the all 3 kits look great to me.
Enjoyed the "Then and Now"
Beautifully done my friend! I sure hope this isn't the only one we get to see you complete this year! Cool video! Thanks for sharing! 👍👍
What a Gem 💎 !!!! God Bless..
Great story and comparison.
LUKA , this is a great comparo of your favorite car, the 40 Ford. Its nice to see the advancement in your building skills on the same car over the years. I enjoyed this video 👍🏁
Looks great as usual Luka Cee nice back story
Awesome video and fantastic story. It’s so great you still have a build model from your youth. Really enjoyed listening and watching as I sit at the bench building. Thanks for sharing.
The before and after stories are fun looking back to old builds. I’m thinking a fun group build would be for us to find kits of our first or earliest kits and build a current version of them - Matthew over at model car videos really got me thinking of that after one of his hauls had the old black and blue 53 ford flip nose from MPC. Not my favorite kit but one of the oldest kits I have built that I still have and have great memories of.
Looks great and the story makes it even better with the weathering. Shows how important looking outside your regular box of interest is to pick up new ideas and skills.
I only have one built kit that I did 20 years ago that survived all of the moves and whatnot that came with life as well as a handful of diecasts from my youth/childhood. Incidentally that big scale Tamiya Ferrari was also the last kit I built before picking up the hobby again last year.
Neat... I wish I still had the kits I did when I was young.
Thanks again for sharing and for the tale.
Interesting story there Luka, it's great knowing that you've built a car that's a reflection of one built in '85. Loved seeing both builds, but especially the newer ones. Great work with all the details you've added. Well done 👍🏼👍🏼
Looks great Luka Cee!
Gonna put the Ardun engine in mine (I think), or pick up an 312 Y block somewhere....give it a shot on wiring as well!
Onwards and upwards to the next build!
Keep cutting that styrene, keep gluing those fingers....heeeerrrrree's the producers! 😉😆😂😎🤜🏻🤛🏻
Awesome build. It's really cool to look back and seen then and now.
Very cool story and side by side comparison!
Nice job 👍
Luka, great build brother!! I still have some of my cars from late ‘70’s that I’ve built. I got into modeling because I loved cars, building cars I dreamt of having and how I would do them up. Now, it’s cars I know I’ll never have but I can still appreciate the car build it up like I want. Stay safe and keep on modeling. Jeff
Fun kit. Fits together nice. Many options to build. I had a molded in black cruising USA version...was a fun and easy kit!
Anxious to see the latest ideas for the ‘64 Cutlass.
Cool "now and then" vid! 👍
I really did enjoy watching it, your sheer joy when talking about these 2 builds is infectious, I couldn't help but to smile 😁 Awesome builds and history, my friend, I really enjoyed watching 😊✌ (and yes, when I shared to Farcebook I tagged my Dad again so he could see it too 🤪)
Thanks allot, friend. Thank means allot to me.
Probably one the best kits from AMT. One of my favorite kits, easy build, lots of options.
1949,1956 Ford's my second and third favorites.
I got like 4, 40 fords on my bench right now.
After these being vintage race cars wanna do a few stock builds.
Great 40 Fords there Luka! Nice to see the build quality and skill progression over the two builds.
I usually build with a backstory in mind. One, it keeps me motivated and entertained; two, it is just plain fun! If you’ve ever seen my builds you know that. 😆
Anyway, keep doing it man. 😎👍🏾
Hey Luka, the model looks great. It's cool to see where you were in modeling and how far you've come by still having your original models. I still have my old models as well as my dad's models when he was a kid. Love the hobby! Thank you for sharing your techniques and passion. God bless!
That's really cool too still have a model car from years ago and to be able to continue its story. I'm not so fortunate, a very nasty divorce was the catalyst for my models hitting a dumpster. .....and as sad as that is your Ford has inspired me to build (again) one of my most favorite models from my childhood. My parents bought me the kit for Christmas and they owned the real thing, a 1966 mustang coupe. It was lost in the divorce festivities and by golly it's coming back ! 🍻
This is very close to Batman and Robin’s first onscreen hardtop “Batmobile”! From the 1949 movie serial. I’m about to build one.
COOL car cool story dont have any of my old kits to long ago to many times moving but cool you do enjoyed the story
Your not the only one to use thread for plug wire, back in the day they actually used cotton covered plug wires in real cars. Good to see how you progressed. Live and learn, enjoy your videos and models.
Great vid
Great video buddy!! Really enjoyed the back story! I have them too, I just don't share them. That may change!
Oh, you have GOT to do a video of one of your stories
I still have most of my builds. Unfortunately, they've been moved more times than I can count. One day (hopefully soon), I'll open the boxes and see how many survived. The two Jo-Han kits, the 59 El Camino and 49 Merc kits made it, so I've got my fingers crossed!
Nice comparison video about the 36 year gap. Glad you stayed away from the middle build. Sort-of reminded my how they addressed Highlander 2 when Highlander 3 came out. 😏
Blaaaaa-ha ha ha!😂
I found that I have a backstory when I weather my car models but not when I build them clean.
Hello Luka,,, nice looking models (both) your expertise shows thru,,, just a tip, when showing the interior, shine a small flashlight into the interior to show it better,,it should help, who knows?
....or - take picture BEFORE it is completely assembled. By doing that, you are able to focus on dash detail and other parts that are difficult to see when done.
@@urbanurchin5930 yeah buddy,, you got that right
It looks great. You did a very good job. The paint, wheels, and stance is wonderful. The title of this video should be “Luka Built #1 I finally finished a kit.” Lol.
😝👍
Awesome video, you didn't say: keep gluin the fingers together, cutting the styrene
Got that kit , gonna be primer sled .
Out with the old in with the new? Not really they both look great sir very well done
Sweeeeet
Would you consider showing all the builders builds on your channel sometime rather then trying to find them please.
Working on it
My Dad was Dating my Mother and had a 40" Ford Coupe. It would seem from stories I've been told then there was Me, 64 years ago.😆😎
You still have a model you built in 85? Do you live still live with your parents?
