AMT's 1940 Ford Coupe Update #3 we are still in primer but the engine, chassis and interior are very close to being done! #modelcars #scalemodelbuilding #fordmodels
Absolutely C😎😎 LL Updates Bryan , Glad You're BOTH Feeling Better Today !! Here's Wishing You and Mrs BG a Healthier, Safe and Blessed Happy New Year in 2022 . 🤗🤗
Great job Bryan it’s really looking good. I didn’t know that tamiya made an orange brown panel wash. I’ll have to look for that. Keep up the great work and I hope you and Lynda have a very happy new year. I’ve always called it amateur night also. I’m 65 and have never driven past 7pm on New Year’s Eve. Papadan
Looks really, Bryan 👍🤩Wood grain and interior is very nice👍🤩. Thanks for showing and best wishes for the new year from jolly old England, 🎊🎉🍻🏴😎Pete 🤓🏴🍻🎉🎊
I'm painting the car I'm building this color. One of my favorite colors. Nice work. Glad to hear you're feeling betta. Happy New Year to you and Mrs. BG.
Looks awesome BG... love all the touches you did with the weathering and the second exhaust... love your color choice... Hope you and the Misses have a great new year...
Taking shape. Didn't know it got that cold there in AZ. I just picked up an AMT 40 Ford kit (for the Keystone Mags) at a really good price. See you in the new year. 😀
The cold seems like it is relative. I used to live in Portland Oregon, and 50°f was almost beach weather there!! No 50° feels like a glacier!! Great score on that 40 Ford kit. Think you will build it?
Looks good, you are really beating that old kit into shape. Nice save on the bumper bracket. Liquid mask might have been another way to mask the exhaust, but it came out really nice. I like where you are going with the engine and chassis weathering.
Terrific progress Bryan. I did similar repairs to a bumper horn once. It was not easy to get the exact needed angle. You've got some great painting techniques going there. Deem parts and pieces are looking excellent.
Great update, Bryan! Frame horns, I have two kits and they both have broken frame horns. Fortunately for me, one is broken at the back and I need to cut the back ones off for my project anyway.
That’s looking great so far. Love the chipping on the radiator. I know you’ve got a custom color mixed but it looks interesting in the flat gray primer with shiny red wheels.
@@BGsModelWorkshop - oh wow! I didn’t know that cuz, well, you got one now and it came out great! Hey, I hope 2022 is a very good year for y’all and stay safe too! Peace ✌🏻
Glad to hear you are feeling better. You took a break from building to eat?! Great progress on the Ford. Excellent detail work Bryan. Happy New Year to you and Mrs. BG.
The 40Ford is looking so cool. The stance looks spot on and your prep work looks flawless. BTW couldn’t you could use this car as a second entry into the Pearl Harbor build? Take care and stay safe. Tom S.
There should be a lever on the column that resembles a turn signal lever, that is the "Finger tip" shifter for these cars instead of the usual floor style shifter. Here's a video link to 1940 promo ad for the 40 Ford Coupe and is a wonderful tool when building these models. Hope this aids you in some ways or just for some fun nostalgia ;) czcams.com/video/PORkrY_e_HQ/video.html
Hi! I apologize for the late response. I have been trying to recall what I used on the interior. I used Tamiya TS-46 Light Sand color as the interior base color. With a top coat of TS-80 flat clear. Hope that helps!
It’s hard for me to believe that we are building the same kit. I love your work Bryan.
Lol, I agree, so many different versions of the same kit! Yours is looking killer as well Bud!

Really coming along nicely. I am enjoying the detail you have been getting into. It’s very beneficial to me. Thanks. Best wishes for the new year 🍸

Looking great buddy!! That color is really cool! Great mix! Hope you guys have a safe and awesome New Year!!

Thanks Kurt, I usually have very little success with liquid masking. Just adds money to the swear jar!! 😊

Thank you so much Deen! That means a lot to me!😊

Terrific progress Bryan. I did similar repairs to a bumper horn once. It was not easy to get the exact needed angle. You've got some great painting techniques going there. Deem parts and pieces are looking excellent.

Look awsome so far
Thanks Jeff!!
Good stuff cuz B! Dang I had a 40’ Ferd kit but gave it away to somebody, oh well! Happy New Year 🎆🎊 to you and Ms. BG!
Hi cuz Doug! Dude, this is my third 40 ford kit. I had two others and sold them! So when I was challenge to build it, I had to search one out. Lol
BG.
Thanks Vic. When I am on a roll, I rarely remember to stop and eat. 😊
@@BGsModelWorkshop What kind of roll? Hoagie, Kaiser, Hot dog?
@@vicsminiatures7949 🤣 something gluten free!
looks really good so far
Thanks Russel!!
VERY nice! Cobalt is known as TS-102 now. Jeez, I WISH I had 47f to paint.... It's about 36 today.
Ah ha!! I knew they gave it a number, couldn't recall what it was. My can of paint simply "TS-cobalt" on it lol. Thanks Pat!
Happy new year 😊
Thank you! And to you as well!!

There was, and I clipped it off. I like the floor shifter look better. Thanks for the video clip!! 😊
When you dropped the frame, did you use your outdoor words? Happy new year to you both!
Hi Chuck, boy I sure did!! Almost filled the swear jar up!!
Just came across this video, excellent build. Love the seats can you be more specific about the tan color you used ? Thanks
Hi! I apologize for the late response. I have been trying to recall what I used on the interior. I used Tamiya TS-46 Light Sand color as the interior base color. With a top coat of TS-80 flat clear. Hope that helps!
@@BGsModelWorkshop No worries, thanks for the help and info.
I'm 73yo and my grandaughter spent the better part of two years getting me to never use the term "cool" at this point in my life.
Hi Billy, hope you like the build so far bud. 😊
@@BGsModelWorkshop I just wish I paid as much attention to detail,I'm still modelling but I've lost a step.
I cringe everytime I see the gash in the door panel. Why don't you fill it with a little putty and sand it down and repaint?
Because it won't be seen in side the car.
