Wow that is an absolute beautiful representation of a ‘62 Impala! That 409 engine came out beautifully, that interior is amazing and love that exterior finish! Is it a Cream or Ivory color?
The reissue (post 1963) Impala kit is based on a modified Craftsman (curbside - no engine) kit. The story is that in the early 70's, AMT modified the tool, to open the hood and add a (rather crude) engine for disabled veterans. This is the version that was reissued as a Prestige kit in the late 80s, much the same as the kit in the video. The Round 2 reissue, besides including the original Customizing parts, also adds a firewall and radiator detail, which are absent in the older reissues. The engine and other underhood details from the original annual kit ended up in the 64 Impala kit. So if you want a more accurate engine, the AMT 64 Impala is a good source.
