    I build and repair old Jags. This stuff is a must on the V8's in xk and xj8's the nicosil bored ones but it takes about 500 miles to really get going. I've done many tests before and after and it has always made improvements. I recommend it and use it in my own cars.

    Pouring it into the cylinder will not do anything. It takes a while to build up and start to work and it does work if used correctly. I put it into my 1980 kz750 that was burning a lot of oil. Now it burns hardly any. Mine is also a wet clutch and it didn't seem to hurt it at all.

    Engine restore worked well on my old Camry Toyota. I never ran a compression test on it but the oil consumption dropped significantly. Went from 1 qt/oil per 300 miles (a really terrible figure) before adding Engine Restore. To about 1 qt/oil every 700 miles. Which is almost acceptable. It stopped blowing blue smoke down the road when shifting gears.
    Either reading still indicates significant engine wear. Although some engines USE oil while others burn it.

    Puttin Restore in spark plug holes is the way to go. However, u need to crank pistons at least 30 cycles without plugs installed . Then run bike for a couple hrs with plugs installed . Restore works . Also, i would suggest changing plugs after u run it motor a couple hrs .

    I'm having rough idle problem which could possibly be a compression issue in cylinder 1 and 4. When I put the temp gun on each exhaust manifold, 1 and 4 read 50-70 degrees cooler than 2 and 3.
    I was told by a tech that the simplest way to check if you have a possible head gasket leak is to check your radiator before turning it on and top off with coolant if u need to. Put the cap on. Turn the bike on warm up to 180-190f. Take the cap off. Give it some throttle (4000-5000 rpm) and if you see air bubbles continuously, you have air compression leaking out. Meaning a possible head gasket is busted.
    Other possibilities for misfire or rough idle problems:
    Check spark plugs
    Check coils
    Check fuel system: fuel Injectors both primary and secondary. both electrical and mechanical.
    Electrical using the multi meter. By mechanical meaning making sure you injectors open freely and are clean.
    .you can diagnose the fuel injectors through the diagnostic system.....

  • @Dj_Caribe
    @Dj_Caribe Před 9 lety +1

    If your fuel system both electrical and mechanical pass then you have an internal engine problem whether it's valve clearance or you might need new piston rings or my could possibly have a bent valve causing it not to seat properly. This usually is the case for higher mileage engines 30+. And or depending on how you ride your bike. I am in the process right now trying to figure out what my misfire problem is in cylinder one and four I don't know yet. But when I do find out I will go ahead and post a video. Explaining what processes I went through.

    The best way to do this is use Marvel Mystery Oil in the fuel and in the oil for at least 500 miles to clean everything up you must ride it easy and keep the RPM's moderate or low don't worry about clutches because you're riding easy then drain oil then use engine restore and 20w 50 Pennzoil again you must ride easy for 500 miles this really really works I could go into an extremely long explanation but to keep it short Murphy's Miracle Oil does everything it says it will do but the main thing is it cleans the carbon out from under and around the compression rings to help them seal and when it's in the oil it cleans everything but it cleans the oil control rings. Murphy's Miracle Oil can be put straight in the cylinders and let it soak for as long as you can but you'll need to crank it over and blow out any extra or roll up paper towels to Wicked out you will be truly surprised and impressed.!!!!!

    I have a 1999 Kawasaki ninja ZX6E it has 90-100 pounds of compression in
    all cylinders its supposed to run at between 135-215....my ninja will
    run fine for awhile but then it acts like it fouls a spark plug and then
    it is a sucker to get it to idle proper and to keep it running at idle.
    but i believe i need to get new valves and seats in the carbs. and i
    have set the floats properly. could i add engine restore to my ninja to
    restore my compression? valves have been checked for clearances and all
    seem proper. what is your take on it??

      when your bike fouls spark plugs, best option for all, was not opening carbs, but installing HOTTER spar plugs. I got from DPR9EA-9 to DPR7EA-9 and i got the best bike i missed so many years. No mechanic suggested me this easy work for my old CB1000Sf

    This product does work, looks like your loss of compression is valve related and not from the cylinder walls. I.E this product won't repair valve related issues.

  • @FireicerCooper
    @FireicerCooper Před 7 lety

    At a guess i'd say your problem is valve seat related. Find top dead centre in cylinder 1 and get a compressor. Shoot compressed air down the cylinder and see if you hear leaks of air out the intake or exhaust.
    If you do then you need remove cylinder head and re-lap the valves and seats, no miracle juice will fix bad valve seats.

    restore should go into crank case for results, call restore ask them about wet clutch compatability, before adding in. restore is for oil mixture, but ive used 2 ozs to 6 gallons gasoline in many engines get good results for months, valves seal well and rings also, gas filters on bikes wont trap restore with gasoline mixed, micro particles restore uses in can, see when you shake can. caution restore in gasoline with cause some oxogen sensors to show dash lite temporary, do not use if going threw emission test. when restore burns threw combustion chamber out pipe, you can smell chemical in exhaust, unique smell.

      could you take the clutch friction plates and pressure plates out etc and run it stationary in the engine oil for so many tanks of fuel? a top end rebuild might be faster but i suppose..and guessing the additive has to be in the oil all the time to maintain any compression regained... i wonder?... would be good for someone without the skills to do a top end rebuild but i guess if they can manage to take out the clutch which is pretty easy and not that hard to do compaired to a top end rebuild.

      Azz Kam, you would be better taking the clutch plates out and putting it in the oil and running the bike up to temp a few times. Your issue is probably a cracked liner, common on 5eb r6’s. I’d be interested to see if this did work on a crack when used correctly. Putting it directly on top of the piston will do nothing because if the way this stuff is supposed to work. As soon as the bike runs, it will burn off/spunk what you have poured in straight down the exhaust.
      Another way to keep on using a 5eb with a cracked liner is to fit an external breather. The main problem the crack causes is excessive breathing when hot. When you’re parked at traffic lights with the engine running, the air box fills with oil vapour and exhaust gasses causing the engine to choke. It’s not perfect, but would help a lot.
