That skaven voice is fucking outstanding, and the transition from normal voice to skaven is seamless, I love it.
I have to say that these beginner save my disaster campaign videos tend to be more interesting/entertaining than the ones where the player has done more or less everything right. Here we have a short and fun 17min video of a seemingly dire situation cheesed into the stratosphere and back with Legend's human mask slipping at times. Meanwhile on another video the game has thrown an impossible situation onto an adept player and Legend spends 50 minutes first wasting the enemy ammo with his lord and then kiting the enemy around the map while picking enemy units off one by one :D
I 100% agree with this, it's also a very useful resource for players getting started with a faction and encountering difficulties, while being hilarious and entertaining!
I find disaster situations that end up on the overworld map tend to be less exciting, beginner or not. However, there are some exceptions to this generalization like this video. Or a rather hilarious case where the guy who sent the save in got a lot of stuff wrong and one commenter not only did the same mistake, but given how many likes the comment had, a lot of people learned something that video, which is called "when you get the basics wrong"

Then there's the rare ones where the game breaks putting the player into an impossible situation because of a bug.
Legend is just 3 Skaven in a trenchcoat, you cannot convince me otherwise, that laugh is too on point :D

THAT is why we cheese hard and very hard battle difficulty. The AI's the one that's cheating, we're just matching them at that game.
It’s honestly why I prefer very hard campaign but normal battle difficulty. I get to use melee! ;-;

@@joergenmaster7530 the AI cheats, we cheese, exploit, cheating is adding resources via commands, exploit is using gameplay mechanincs to our advantage, and if you play skaven like this is you are just faithful to the race and their lore

It is pointless to conquer a settlement without taking the nearby armies out first, because they'll trap you. Unless you play skaven. Rats can always find a way out.

it is so nice to hear you take so much pleasure playing skavens and doing skaven shennanigans xD we can feel it in your voice it heals your soul being so cheesy and tremendously unfair with the AI

I often wonder how people get into these situations, and better yet, how Legend seems to always save them. To be fair to the save game’s player, you really need to live and learn to get ancient cunning.
It's likely that he doesn't show ALL of the disaster battles that get sent in. We likely only see the ones he decides are worth showing.

always assumed landing on a coast (not in the a port) would take around 50% of your movement
that explains why you sometimes end up with less than 100% movement the next turn after you landed somewhere

This is why I continue to watch LoTW's content. Out of all videos out there covering WH, none are as educational as his. He drops a lot of gems here and there and it is hard to have a composite guide for all of tactics and know-how about the game. But no other content creator teaches like he does. Also, I can understand the OP's situation. It took awhile for me to get a full grasp of the game and I didn't know what was what. I cringe at what I probably did with my army composition, hero builds and city-campaign management back when I first started, only I wouldn't have the balls to send in a save file to legend for all to see.
I give Legend all the credit for turning me into a decent player. I distinctly remember the turning point. I played a Clan Skyre campaign and I think it was my first vhard-vhard. This is back when that dlc just came out. I was humming along fine until the Order Tide came a-knocking. It was so overwhelming I just stopped playing it. I gave up. Later I watched this channel's videos. I started to understand things like having plague priests and theirs summons, customizing weapons teams, terrain effects to consider, why I should go for the cunning trait, why I shouldn't use plague monk censor bearers in Skrolk's army just because I thought that's how it was supposed to be, etc etc.
I quit that game around turn 200. I fought back all of the High elves, Empire, Brettonnia and Dwarf forces and finished a full map completion at around turn 350. Been praising and offering cheese for the Cheese God ever since.
The one button respec mod is pretty sweet. Using it in my chaos campaign now to boost growth then boost shaggoths lol

Even when the enemy AI doesn't go full derp that map is super easy for skaven ambushes, the enemy army is just channeled into an enfilade of death.

I have put almost 300 hours into this game and still havent found a race to call my "main" and also cant play above normal difficulty without getting frusterated so watched a turn around like this is always mind boggling
You don't necessarily need a "main race" tbh. And it's not as hard as you think to play on higher difficulties. A lot of it has to do with mindset. Take it slow and scout. Good map vision can make worlds of difference in how you play with every race. With good scouting you can build armies to counter what the enemies have and plan ahead. Also AI tend to have a general path they like to follow. Orks for example tend to go after the dwarves, boarder princes, vampires, then empire. Or alternatively dwarves, boarder princes, into brettonia, then Empire. So you can watch what the AI does for the most part over multiple campaigns and catch a general trend sometimes.

Best way to use undercities is to send an engineer on a long adventure to Altdorf and Karaz a Karak. Upgrade to steal the settlement's cash and never think about them again.
