So who's gonna do some decluttering todayđââïž?
Well i just moved to Scotland again. I took only one small backpack of clothes (few, t-shirt, hoodie, 2 pairs of pants, a shirt and underwear). Obviously I'm lacking some tech like a PC and something for pleasure like guitar. But since I've been living in dorms or with roommates at university I never required more than a backpack of items. Also I've hated that my whole family are hoarders and that my family house was always cluttered. So you can say that I've been through extremely quick declutteration process. Keep up good work with videos. I can't wait for another one!
For sure! Will start tomorrow evening for sure. Just made me realize now, that I just carry some stuff with me I actually never use but never got rid off. Now I am constantly thinking what else I could store/sell/donate/throw away đ
Iâm gonna start tomorrow morning with my momâs clothes...imma be rich
I am so tempted to become a minimalist exactly as you have done but the problem is, me and my family have inherited so much stuff over the years living in different countries, plus the fact that we have other families stuff here.
It is such a HUGE task to complete.
đ„”
Iâll start by decluttering my room :)
Yesterday
i dont know why this channel does not blow up... perfect editing skills/storytelling and value.
for real
It's only matter of time, keep doing it as well as you do now and more people will come!
It will trust me.
He is a extreme minimalism.
@@johndevanwayne4272 itâs probably due to his low upload schedule despite the high quality of his videos. Normally for smaller CZcamsrs to blow up it takes consistent content.
What I adore about this video:
1. Sufficient time to make decisions
2. Responsible disposal
3. Sufficient time spent living with the decisions
4. Helpful advice
5. Entertainment
Thank you!
The thing I like the most about this video is that it's not a "Watch me declutter tomorrow" video, it's a "I've been doing this process for a year" video.
Dude - This is the best channel on CZcams - Always interesting, funny and the editing is unreal. Top work!
WOWđ€©
definitely agree with this comment. iâm here to stay! great work đđŸ is there a video in your channel where you introduce yourself? âșïž
200% agree
Yeah the level is just astonishing
He deserves more subs, no doubt
Decorative items are in a totally diferent category. We don't have only utilitarian objects.
We don't "use them". We appreciate them. Like Art. We contemplate it.
So do you keep the decorative objects
@@elijahhall8889 I keep whatever makes me tic. If I see no use, I give it away or throw it away. I donât spend my time thinking about what I should and shouldnât have. Iâve got better things to do.
@@clorofilaazul Sanity prevails. The Unlazy Way is just another self-indulgent Marie Kondo clone in male garments. Somehow it all ends up sparking yet another wave of consumerism.
@@elijahhall8889 I think they go in the same category as sentimental stuff. You use both of them rarely (actually looking at them, interacting) but appreciate heving them because they make you feel a certain emotion. So keep whatever evokes an emotion in you that you want to be feeling. This doesn't mean that you should throw away photos of your parents if you're grieving because you maybe want yourself to feel sad about their deaths if that makes sense.
your channel is too good for youtube
Thanks đ„ł!
I donât even care what he talks about- I love his accent so much.
Where is he from?
@@nikolinashtabekova2518 definitely Finland
People should stop pointing non native English speakers' accents. Ä°t's ruder than you think. You never know if the person is trying hard to speak without an accent.
I'd have guessed Dutch
@@sofitocyn100 As a Finn I recognize a fellow country man from the very first word. I can tell from how he talks that the guy is trying very hard not to sound Finnish but you canât help it. He is either trying too hard to get rid of the Finnish accent which might come off as something resembling a southern accent like the word âboxesâ for example... or he might have spent time in the southern part of the US and the way how they talk has has stuck . Either way it is always interesting to hear little nuances that can give away more about the person. I always hear the accent thing and how fascinated people are in the US when I talk. But it can feel a little insulting when you are trying your best to sound normal and people look at you as if you are a lab experiment and say that âyou have a cute accentâ âis it Germanâ
THIS is quality content.
Literally this man is definitely a superb package of entertainment, editing, storytelling
Minimalism is the way to go! Mad respect for the commitment to keeping all those boxes around for 5 months while waiting to pull the trigger haha
Everytime I get rid of something I find myself looking for it the week after...
Okay, so it's 1am and you just made me want to throw away half of the stuff I own. Like right now! đ Your content and ideas are amazing!
Go for it!đ€
Also watching at 1am as my life is in complete disarray.
I dĂł hope you donate it. And not change your mind and buy new things the next year, causing the environment to get hit once more.
ME TOOOOOO
"*I labelled the boxes so I could easily find the items I am looking for! ".......... I bet he's still rummaging about for the juggling balls đđđđđ
Ciara Fen.S.E My guess is that Jonne thought of that, and put one ball in each box đ.
the juggling balls were found in the pocket of the hoodie he gave to his friend. He doesn't know that, though, so he's still looking for them.
Having moved more times than anyone I know, and often living out of boxes... I knew that would not go well đ
The amount of great content, dedication and work you put in your videos, deserves at least a couple of million subscribers!
Seriously underrated creator on CZcams. I love your content, messages, attitude, and not to mention uniquely true to yourself editing.
I appreciate that!
I don't want to admit how long it took me to realize that he is actually a fellow finn...
Ah. I thought he might be Dutch, or sth.
Oh so there are friendly Finns who are not toxic wastelands (like the ones you find in cs:go); the more you know
Oh, is he? Cool! :)
This guy is extremely dedicated, to the point that its stressful to watch this video.
You can now optimise your drawer with the Marie Kondo folding technique đ
âI didnât even know I had a safeâ đ
đâïž
You don't need to memorize the combination now.
I looooooove how sensible you were in getting rid of stuff, like donating and stuff everything in categories and the recycling as well. I'm gonna have to get better at that =)
Was waiting for this! Going to re-watch this before going back to campus! Clearing away stuff has way more benefits than people realize and I really hope this video goes viral.
Appreciate it brođ€©
I just made almost the same experiment but it's because I just moved to another country... Well I actually moved back. During the packing I got to the same conclusion, i got rid of countless things and clothes I NEVER use, sold a bunch more for a profit, scanned and threw away a CRAP TON of documents and manuals I do not need in phisical form. The remaining stuff (still a freaking commercial container) is on its way and when it gets here I vowed to keep organizing my stuff and stop hoarding stuff I don't need.
I homeschool 4 kids and declutter every week....it's glorious!
I did this about 4 years ago. Then bought everything back! đ
This was so satisfying for me to watch. I love having space, I canât stand having too many unnecessary things in my house. I thought I was the only one đ
Wow, by far this is the best decluttering video i came across đđœđđœđđœđđœ
Inspiring! I'm moving soon and can't wait to declutter:)
I couldn't stop laughing! As we just moved, I understand his feelings about boxes and looking for something, being unable to find it, even though you label said boxes.
That was great! Life changing experience with valid points I'll consider when decluttering and was entertaining to watch!
This was great! It is a real take on the advantages and disadvantages of the packing party method of decluttering. And so entertaining!
I honestly enjoyed your video sooo much! And this has been my go to way to declutter for years!
now i want to do this. feeling stressed spending more time at home and SO MUCH CLUTTER
Yes, I have decluttered several times over the past 5 years -- 3 times to be correct and this past year in March. Thank you for the video. I will be decluttering more this year again.
Yeah, great video. The way you put them together shows a lot of hard work.
Your so much fun to watch! Bring it on!
Now that's what I was looking for. Witty and powerful. I am going to do some decluttering before the new year now!
Awesomeđ„łâïž
The People who disliked, I'd like to know why? I'm genuinely interested in your answer
I liked, but some people might get annoyed by the hyperactivness.
You will own nothing and be happy.. the elites mantra for us the commoners
Maybe because of this video got hard inspiration from Alex Beckerâs one
@@mil-fpv4931 Hyperactiveness??? Where? When? :D I'm watching this for exactly the opposite reason. I think a good example of hyperactive youtubers are americans (not all, ofc), who feel like talking 5 words per second. That makes me anxious tbh.
Dislike because he burned papeles, instead of reclicling them... đ€·đ»ââïž
Your videos are always such good quality, and I feel like I always gain something and learn something at the end. And it makes me want to be "unlazy" as you say. This comes in perfect timing since I am going to be headed for college in last than a year!!!!
Enjoyed this a lot! For the last couple days I've been going through all my things and giving/throwing away anything I don't use. I've been wanting to do this for a while but your video was sufficient motivation to get started on it! Love your videos, keep up the great work
Omg, when you were looking for your stuff in those boxes, I could feel the frustration but it was so funny. Next time, write what you have inside those boxes so you can find them easily.
Seriously, I really think you deserve more attention, your content is just so entertaining and inspirational đ„
Working on it!đ€
Huge thumbs up for the youtube algorithm!!! All of your videos are epic in so many ways, thank you for being you.
Great ideas, helps fill in the gaps that were missing on how use the packing party and what's left over.
Honestly, I absolutely love this! This video is like divine intervention for me. I have been feeling overwhelmed with my stuff and want to declutter. The thing is I am the type of person that wants things resolved right then and there LOL. Watching other mininalist videos was not helping at all since it always seemed as if they just snapped their fingers and theur stuff was gone with the exception of a perfectly curated set of items that they actually need/use. This is more realistic for me as well it offers some comfort in realizing that it's okay for this to take time.
Exactly! And same here :)
I'm gonna challenge this mindset. Getting rid of things that are low quality and unneeded duplicates is great. But I feel a better way to deal with clutter is organization. Having the right tool for every job keeps you from having to run to the store every time you need AAA batteries. I see my minimalist friends using trying to use scissors as pliers and butter knives as screwdrivers. I think that's a metaphor for the minimalist lifestyle.
Agreed. I'm not going to need a lot of things daily, weekly or even monthly; but I'm for sure not going to get rid of my tools, or winter clothing just because I haven't used it in three months.
I love your videos!!! This video was so inspiring. I watched it for the first time a few months ago and it inspired me to try to live a more purposeful life. It has especially helped me to think before I buy things so that I can avoid impulse buys.
One of the best decluttering videos that I seen! Thank you.
I have done this, too. But for me it lasted for about three years.
One thing I realized. My broke ass makes me a minimalist by default. One of the perks of being that.
Thank you. Definitely going to do this.
Man, thanks for making such great, helpful content. I appreciate your work.

I love this!! I have done the same thing and can relate to not finding stuff!!! Especially a little heater when it got cold as I live in a caravan. I later found... In a box!!!!!
This channel deserves millions of subscribers. Sending the vibes!
Soak your old papers in laundry soap and hot water overnight, and ring out the pulp, so no shredder needed. I give away stuff, and do not sell.
Welcome to the Netherlands! :)
Thank yooou :) !
That chart is very useful, thank you!
I have to congratulate you. I love this video I love the editing the way you tell your story what a huge inspiration and also the minimalism and the way that you decluttering your life is superb. Thank you so much Neue fan.â€
Funny enough, when I finally finish my decluttering, I'll probably have the same stuff you do lol

"All I kept was my microphone, camera, computer, apps, and my kickass shorts. A grand total of 10% of my life right here."
Brilliant video. Down to earth guy, someone pretty much any of us can relate to. I love it when someone like this pops up in my feed, doesn't come across as fake, will be subbing for more content!
Good to see you back!
Minimalism is an idea only suitable to short sited first worlders who live in big cities.
The minute some catastrophe strikes you'll realize you have no resources to be self reliant.
Do the opposite if this. Buy a property, put non perishables away in a pantry the way you'd put money away in a savings acount, and accumulate tools that would give you the means to survive without being anchored to an economic system.
Then, when you realize you can live without money for an extended period of time, work on building your financial wealth. Invest, etc.
That's not to say you should be a hoarder. Definitely throw away shit you don't need, but think a little more long term than "well, I haven't used this in a while."
It doesn't even need to be for a catastrophe. It just has to do with having what you need, when you need it. This is indeed a short-sighted and big-city mindset. If you have a department store 2 blocks away you don't need to keep anything. Your department store already has a "hoard" present for you. If it's a half an hour drive or more, then you start thinking more about keeping things available.
Iâve done round 1 of minimalism!
Now Iâm thinking of selling everything because I would like to work abroad!
Yeah! I think Iâm gonna go this route in the new year!
I feel your pain đ, and loved your experiment. Thanks for sharing.
You are the real deal my dude. Stoic living.
the devil works hard but he works harder in his videos, great content as always
Wow. I will do this when I have my own apartment. Such a fun idea for a crazy person like me.
My method was grabbing a check-in suitcase and a carry on and fitting whatever was essential for me to live. Sell whatever could be sold online, giveaway things to relatives/friends, donate or toss the rest. Then book a one way ticket and travel the world. Itâs worked. 5 years later and still going strong (although recently I had to add another suitcase with my scuba diving gear đ)
This is a great idea, an awesome way to be grateful for what you have, love this video!! Canât wait for another one to be released
Thanks so much!!
I had no idea he's from finland until I saw the K-rauta boxes XD
why'd you move to the Netherlands?? I feel like I missed all this

ah unlazy man ive been trying to get around to doing this clearout vibe for years....u have inspired me....I AM going to declutter starting tomorrow....cheers...
this makes me want to declutter for the thrid time this year... But I can't donate due to covid rn... My room will be filled with even more boxes soonđ
Throw it in the garbage. Second hand shops only want the best stuff. New, high quality. Everything else goes to the landfill because they can't sell it. Nobody wants other people's old crap. Most textiles can't even be recycled because they're not pure natural fibers, they're blends. Even 1% lycra or acrylic and it can't be recycled. Be realistic; don't assuage your guilt by making a charity pick up your trash fee.
if i would have to choose between only one pair of shoes or only one pair of pants, i would give up right there
I gave up just thinking about it lol
I wonder how does a person get to the communal laundry room or laundromat to wash clothes if you are naked? If you only have one pair of pants and you have to wash them....
I've been wanting to do this during the lockdown. I'm going to give it a try this weekend.
Honestly impressed by how you triaged what you got rid of and recycled everything you could. Great job.
How about cutlery, dishes etc?
Yes i always see youtubers showing everything they own fits in a suitcase etc... but they never show cutlery or plates. Do they not use these things?
And things like sheets/bed linen
I have a rule, at least one item per day must go away.
why?
@@badass6300 Because its one easy way to achieve minimalism. I sell, throw away or give the stuff that i dont really need. If you need motivation last month i made 1100 euros selling stuff that i did not use.
@@Mortisabc I don't call it minimalism, I call it throwing away toys I don't use that take up space.
@@Mortisabc But, what if you don't want to live minimalistically?
Love your editing and commitment to good content :) keep it up!
Discovered this channel today, amazing quality content , was like wow he's gotta have atleast a mil subs, was shocked at the reality, you just got yourself another subscriber.
My anxiety is off the roof đ
@Eva Hime ăšă槫 Lots of reasons. #1. If I do this, can I afford to replace something that I need later? #2. What if I accidentally through out something I need? Example: I once through out my mortgage by mistake. That was 40 years ago and I still have the jitters about it. It made me terrified of decluttering. Post traumatic stress disorder. #3. People get attached to their stuff. Getting rid of stuff can cause the same intense stress as cutting off your long hair. Some people have breakdowns over it.
13:04 how the heck did you film this move/transition??đłđ€ (Ken Burns kind of ...?)
Im not really sure but i think It is called push and pull shot
