That title was first used by the Orthodox for the successor of Saint Peter the Pope of Rome.

Yes, I've always felt that Patriarch Kyril's attitude of indifference towards the horrors of so-called "Sobor of L'viv" in 1946 were actions against the true canonical church in Ukraine.

You say first among equals here, but in other papers he is called the first without equals. In fact it's his overstepping the boundaries of the Church over and over that has attacked the Church from within.
His influences with the Albanian and Slovak Church show how he only wants to assert his own power and not give them any true freedom in Christ but a dependency on the EP alone.

During his tenure he has created a schism, which at this point seems headed inevitably towards becoming permanent. He has tossed the canons to the winds, and caused great scandal and confusion.

Your church (ROCOR) was a schismatic structure unrecognized even by Moscow until 2007. You were even in communion with the Cyprianites who banned you from their communion in 2006. I would take the effort to quote cannon 9 of the 4th ecumenical council, but I won't bother since I am talking with a pseudo-church, recently recognized by Moscow.

Nice propaganda blurb. Let's address a few things. The title, "ALL-HOLINESS" is theologically blasphemous. Only God himself is all holy. This must be dropped. Second, the First-Among Equals is just that. As said by one of the foremost Byzantine scholars, all this title meant is that he ran the meetings when the patriarchs gathered and kept the minutes - THAT'S IT! No extra or special authority. Canon Law does give him the authority to arbitrate disputes among the patriarchs. He IS NOT the "Orthodox Pope" with authorities above other bishops. The terminology "Ecumenical Patriarch" may have meant something when there was a Byzantine Empire and the Bishop of Constantinople was the "Emperor's Bishop" of the known Christian world, but NOT today. This title is a misnomer. The Orthodox DO NOT have an Eastern Pope or one patriarch over all the Orthodox over all the world. He runs the meetings and takes notes. As far as facilitating UNITY, his stance in the Ukraine against the Russian Orthodox Church has only caused DISUNITY AND CHAOS. Not to mention that Ukrainian oligarchs paid him a down payment of $25mm to recognize their autocephaly. One other thing should be said, according to Orthodox Canon Law, a bishop or patriarch only has authority within their own territory. Therefore, no foreign bishop or patriarch has any authority all over the world and certainly not in North America. Diocese in North America claiming they are under a foreign bishop are non-canonical!

I find your remark un-Christian and bigoted. Cyril and Methodius were both Greeks living in modern-day Turkey, before they ever ventured to preach to the slavs, and also before the conversion of Kyivan Rus. I'm thankful that not all slavic converts share the same mindset as yourself.
