1) the heresy of the filioque
2) the heresy of the pope being "vicarius fiul deii"
3) forcing the priests to remain unmarried
4) the sacrements who have been torn apart in the catolic church such as baptism without immersion, abandon of confession, eucharistie without the blood of Christ for the people.
If unity was made that would mean the destructions of the Church into some kind of multiconfessional melting pot. The Church is not divided. There is one Church, from which the roman patriarch has left long ago, slowly creating what we see now in Western countries.

I was Catholic before, most of my family is and I respect them and their faith and I have great compassion for Catholic priests who fight for their faith, and no reason to doubt about their true love for God. Just as I have no reason to doubt a Muslim certainly loves God, perhaps more deeply than me, poor sinner. But what is happening goes beyond this. It is about truth and lie. And the courage to keep our eyes open and search for the truth. . The devil works. Past is past, but we cannot accept heresy simply because they are old. God taught us also to recognise our mistakes and repent. What defines a faith, a religion is what we believe in. Jesus built a Church, and then men created other churches based on their interpretation.

Also, Christ did not come to bring peace but a sword, dividing those who truly follow Him and those who don’t. I came across this and am shocked! How can the Patriarch of Moscow meet with the Roman Pope? And, for what? I see that the discussions are not between the two on intercommunion, thank the Lord, but rather persecution of Christians in other countries. Communist Cuba in the mix? A feud that has lasted 1000 years ended? There are more than one Patriarch in the Eastern Orthodox Church. I wonder what really went on, and was said rather than what ROME REPORTS wants "the meeting" it say.
And where can this "agreement" be read in full? Now look where we are. I went looking for the pope to be behind this Russian Ukraine conflict, knowing Putin is heavily united with the Russian church and wouldn't go ahead without the church yet I couldn't see the church bless war so I wondered if the pope got to them as he's been traveling around collecting agreements and kissing the feet of other religions like in Africa and the Muslims, and I found several videos of him kissing up literally to the Russian church leaders after a thousand years!!! Just a month before all this and I just started searching! I'm looking for anything fulfilling prophecy regarding end times, one world religion, agreements with many, and the anti Christ one world government likely connected to the world economic forum agenda 21 2030, which the pope is always making unholy statements that tow the WEF line... From the Vax, abortion, fornication, etc. encouraging forsaking all convictions, just go sin all you want as long as you tithe to the pope and pay your climate tax who cares?! He's wretched!

That's not true. Brotherhood between Christians in communion with Rome and Christians not in communion with Rome (Catholics and Orthodox) has been declared before. Big examples would be western Christians being able to travel to Holy Land in Byzantine times; The recognition of the Order of the Holy Sepulchre; And nowadays the sharing of temples in the Holy Land between different denominations.

In USA, when the other 5 rites of Rome showed up, some actually wanted the married Roman Catholic priests of Eastern Rites to give up their wives and children. Hence, Orthodoxy grew.

As a Protestant, I respect the dialogue between the Catholics and Orthodox churches. But I am faithful to "Soli Deo Gloria" and remember how Jesus lived his short life in poverty and sharing the very little his group of disciples had with each other and crowds. I don't see how the gold and pump and power a patriarch and a pope have show any understanding of Christian life. I don't see either how hating and persecuting human minorities such as Jews or LBGTQ people is Christ like. Remember that Paul of Tarsus wasn't a disciple of Christ but a hard core Rabbi who decided to clean up Christianity of what was too far from judaism after having a stroke. I don't feel affiliated to Mark of Ephesus that the Patriarch of Moscow seems to like so much. So it seems that Protestantism isn't considered in Church Reunification. That makes sense. Many of us feel way too far apart from what we want to reform.
