    Amazing content, concise and to the point. Hope you dont mind answering a couple questions though, should i still include the Medicare Exemption on my tax return if im waiting for it to be approved? I've only got a month to apply for this.       You are welcome. Yes, you should lodge if you worked and earned money. You can't do those yourself i think and might need help from.tax agent.

    Bro, for work related expense, if the salary is less than $18000 do we need to add those expenses?

      If you did spend money on those expenses you can include them but it usually won't make any difference in refund as you are getting pretty much all the money back under the threshold :)

      Hi Andionie, yes you need to apply for the MES first and wait to get approved before lodging your tax return.

    Does a medicare levy exemption or reduction apply for international students on student visa or is it only for those on TR?

      Depends if you have access to medicare or not. If you don't then you are exempt.

      Good question. It varies a lot depending on uni, city, etc. But you can expect to pay around $30000 per year ( just estimation ).

      Depends on the income. If under income is under $18,200 and you paid taxes, then yes. But if you under over that amount then you might be paying some taxes based on the income.

      That is the most difficult exercise. You gotta keep record of each transaction. Sales and purchases and calculate capital gains tax. If unsure, speak to accountant. 👍
