    This video is about how you can file your tax return in Australia all by yourself.
    This is a step by step guide to filing your tax return.
    I’ll be showing you how to link your MyGov account with your ATO (Australian Taxation Office) and then show you how to lodge/file your tax return and also how you can claim deductions from your taxes.

    You need to keep a roster/diary when claiming the 0.8$ wfh as people love to report that they work 39.5h wfh but in fact were working in the offices for half this time. The ATO will audit this as they are aware of people pulling dodgies. Same goes for travel expenses. Log books are required. Especially if you are claiming for travel expenses (during a pandemic) + wfh. Helpful video! Thanks!

    No doubt it's a quick, DIY Tax and a lot more. The taxation process elaborated very well and warned of bad practices where ATO can charge you a certain amount of penalties and fines. This video is a super tax video as do your tax yourself but if you still remain confused and need a professional tax company support with Tax Return Accountant help to lodge your individual tax return, business tax return, or sole trader tax return, do follow The Kalculators in Adelaide, South Australia for instant tax matters support. Why would you do it yourself ? The cost associated with producing a tax return is tax deductible so why not consult an expert and maximise your return?

    • @CanDBawa
      @CanDBawa  Před měsícem +2

      Most people doing their tax returns themselves through this video are young professionals and first timers.
      Their tax returns are simple and straightforward, therefore why would they pay a tax agent to ask them to provide the information that ATO very clearly asks for on their website and just type it in for them.
      The cost is deductible next year but if you deduct $100 you get like $30 back (if you are in the 30% tax bracket).
      Being deductible means that it reduces your taxable income, it doesn’t mean you get all the money back.

I've heard that it is not too hard to get pr in medical field. I wanna live in Melbourne but worried about living expenses of this place.I wanted to know whether Melbourne is actually really expensive compared to others cities like Adelaide etc. or not.

    • @CanDBawa
      @CanDBawa  Před 2 lety

      Hey,
      The benefit of choosing a regional area to study is that you get 5 more points towards your PR.
      Right now it is not tough to get a PR in the medical field but things can change.
      I suggest you come to Melbourne as there are much more opportunities here as compared to regional areas.
      Melbourne is not very expensive and you can find something for every budget.

    Thanks for helpful information. One question, suppose I fill all the information and check how much ato will pay, but don’t want to click on final submit button and wanted some Tax agent to file my return . Is that possible?

    To link my gov to ATO I have to share 2 secrets with them. Only problem is the way to access those secrets is by linking my gov to ATO. So I can't find the two secrets I need to link them together, BECAUSE I CAN'T LINK THEM TOGETHER. Sickening stuff.

    Hi
    In medicare section if I choose yes on (MLS) section it asks for insurance details and if i choose No then it says it says you may have to pay medicare levy surcharge
    Then there is option saying
    Number of days you do not have to pay surcharge

    • @CanDBawa
      @CanDBawa  Před 3 lety +1

      Before that section there should be 3 categories listed, if you are an international student or temporary resident then you fall in category 3. I.e you do not have to pay Medicare levy or surcharge.
      Below you can choose no to MLS and 365 in the days for full exemption.
      Below it will say that do you have Medicare exemption statement, just say yes.

    Hello, thanks for the informative video! One question, if we want to claim the Medicare levy exemption, can I just tick Yes on the lodgement process or should I wait for the MES? Actually I’m currently requesting the MES but it says still under process after weeks, and I’ll be leaving Australia very soon? Do you have any opinion about this? Thank you! 🙏🏻

    • @CanDBawa

      From my experience, you can do it without the MES.
      I know people who have never applied for the MES.

    • @CanDBawa

      Hey bud,
      You fall in category 3, i.e ‘not eligible for Medicare’ .
      If you fall in this category , you can claim the exemption as well.

      And you also said if we have had an income for which we didn't pay tax (e.g. Uber eats & Deliveroo or working from Australia for a company located overseas) we have to included in our tax return, but which section do we include these incomes in?

    • @CanDBawa
      @CanDBawa  Před 3 lety

      There should be an option to check under section 3: Personalise return.
      It provides you with various tick boxes and one of those should say foreign employment income.
      And there should also be an option to add any other income which was not listed above.
