My financial future is assured thanks to investing. I have developed the skills necessary to make wise investment decisions by thorough investigation, analysis, and learning from the professionals featured on "Tax refund Videos." I wasn't financially free until my 40s, and I'm still in my 40s, have already purchased my second house, earn monthly through passive income, and have achieved 4 out of 5 goals. It doesn't matter if you don't have any of them right now; you can start TODAY regardless of your age to invest and change your future

Your video is helpful but one big mistake you are doing is selecting NO for 'medicare levy exemption' as you said you do not have medicare, you fall in one of those categories that are eligible for exemption. If you select NO in exemption, ATO takes away 2% of your taxable income as medicare levy which must be paid by those who use medicare facilities only. If you do not qualify for medicare then you can get that 2% back in returns. If you do not qualify for medicare select YES in 'medicare levy exemption' and put 365 in Full 2% exemption and 0 in Half 2% exemption. I think rest you are doing is all good.

@@HopKiwiTravel First of, Great video, it helps me lodge my first tax return in Aus, however I would appreciate adding note somewhere on the screen regarding this matter (medicare levy exemption), as I only read comment right after I lodge mine, it could've saved me a couple more bucks, if I made aware in the video (and if I read through everything, which I didnt :D)

helpful video thanks, but everyone should read the information to avoid any accidental wrong doing as both public transport (from your home to work) and uniform (none specific eg plain black pants) are NOT tax deductible. these deductions can only be made if you are traveling from workplace to workplace or if its uniform specific like checkered chef pants or chef hat. but overall very helpful video thanks guys.
