After looking through Alter Sleeves' inventory, I can definitely say that I'm impressed with what they have to offer and am planning to order from them sometime (probably after Christmas) in the future. The price for just one of these sleeves is a bit steep, (at $6 per sleeve by the looks of it) but that doesn't worry me that much since the only format I play anymore is Commander.
@@krvys7226 i mailed them and they told me they dont plan to use sealables. Which is sad, cause alter sleeves stretch and become loose, so it’s harder to align them inside the second (external) sleeve

@@golgoglass8024 They got hugged to death, they are sorting thousands of cards, with multiple layers of complexity, managing tons of artists, and countless alters. Cut them some slask.
My son bought me an alter sleeve at Commandfest Seattle. It turned my Command Tower into something that incorporated the Seattle Space Needle!
Those alter sleeves are a pretty neat idea! I haven't ever contemplated getting an alter because I don't want to modify my cards. They are a decent middle ground.
I love them. As an alterist and a fan of the product. Really fun when you pull out your decked out commander. Always a talking point.
I really like these products for the exact reason Prof isn't giving them a grade. They're not strictly necessary, but they certainly have a subjective style/flair to them.
That being said, the dry erase counters seem like a godsend for counters decks. Of all of the products here, I think those would be the most useful. Especially if you have a counters deck that uses multiple types of counters.
I do think they are extremely helpful for counter deck, personally the fun of counter decks for me are just seeing 10 dice on each of my creatures, still love the product though.
@@smore2096 I have an "Oops, all counters" deck. I can use my large d&d dice collection to get me through a game...
But it is harly an elegant solution to showing a mix of +1/+1, charge, and keyword counters. It is admittedly niche, but I like the malleable nature of those dry erase counters.
Means I don't have to carry around my half ton Crown Royal bag of dice XD
@@OldGodsGames I love the fact that your D&D dice are in a crown royal bag filled with enough dice to potentially turn it into a weapon lol. Me and my friends carry all of our shiny math rocks in the exact same fashion. Crown royal bags are just so so good for dice, and they're extremely durable.

Funny thing is I don't really drink, so I had to find recipes that called for that kind of hooch. I've been using the bag for years, and I just finished the bottle this Thanksgiving.
@@OldGodsGames Ahhh, see I have friends that occasionally drank crown, so they just had a ton of the big bags on hand and I got a couple of them for free. I can't drink liquor because of ulcers and acid reflux. Just taking a sip of a shot is enough to make me feel sick and in a lot of pain so I just don't drink. But at the same time I really want to get a large green crown royal bag for all my mtg dice...

My InfiniTokens are the single best thing I've ever bought for MTG< and that includes cards. Doodling my tokens while people take their turns is super fun.

just ordered the infinity tokens for myself and for my play group for Christmas...one of the coolest things I've seen in a long time for commander!!!!
I have been using both the alter sleeves and infiniti tokens for over a year - they are great. The alter sleeves do need double sleeving though as the print can scratch off (Alter Sleeves recommends this in their packaging).

If I was still actively collecting, I could see myself spending so much money on Alter Sleeves. As your example on the infinitokens showed, it's nice to have more options for customization that aren't as linked to personal art ability.

Can't speak to alter sleeves, outside how they look cool, But infinitokens have been great.
I've been playing a lot of webcam commander, and they have been useful not only to signify tokens, but stolen permanents as well.
If you play webcam commander, they are a great pick up. (And a great follow on Twitter as well)

Make sure you use their commander tab! It makes things so much easier if it’s a common commander.

She is a lesbian herself and the way she was treated by people in the magic community who often didn’t know what they where talking about is just very frustrating and saddening. Can you imagine this happening to someone you know and care about? I wish I had more of a platform to bring awareness to this because we have people like the professor needlessly shading her with his platform when he likely is only doing it for politically correct brownie points. I gotta say, one of my favorite game accessories, be it magic or d&d, is the tray I keep my dice in.
It's simply a slice of wood, hollowed out and polished, with a hinge to open and close, keeping the natural shape and texture of the wood. Has space for more dice than you'll ever need and looks really cool, and I get comments about it every time I'm at FNM. Plus, this thing was less than 20€ on ebay.
The other thing I personally love is my homemade leather playmat with a personalized design burnt in (actually based on my own fantasy stories, including a quote written in runes).
I literally spent weeks working on that one, to get all the details of the picture just like I wanted them. I fear that's not as easily replicated by anyone else, but I love the looks it gets on the game table, and it makes me super happy whenever someone asks about a little detail or wants me to translate the runes for them.
Downside is of course that I don't get to flaunt the newest Seb McKinnon art on my playmat, but that's a price you gotta pay.

My brother uses the alt sleeves for his commanders and they really look fantastic! I'll be picking up the Ultimate guard pad and infini tokens myself, I never have the right tokens on me for my decks, let alone prereleases. I'll be glad to pull the new tokens out once we get to play in stores again.
I definitely can recommend Alter Sleeves, obviously they are not necessary to play the game but they are such a sweet and easy way to bling out a deck or just a few cards.
With those you also never have to worry about tournament legality since in the worst case you can just replace the altered sleeve with a regular inner sleeve and you're good to go.
My favorite alterists on there are probably WhiteCrowArchon and DarmarideNeurommancer, their stuff looks absolutely amazing.

I bought a pack of Infinitokens after the prof mentioned them in a video a few months ago. They're absolutely amazing and I haven't gone back to regular tokens.
One of my favorite accessories is playmats with each zone drawn onto it. They really help with keeping graveyard and exile separated.
These alter sleeves are sick! Not all of them, of course, but I think there is a good fit for everyone! The Prof did not even get to show the best ones, if you ask me! :D I saw some sick Full Arts for Tarmogoyf, Emrakul, Thought-Knot Seer and many more. I just wished they were cheaper, but hey, Christmas is around the corner.
My friend Pat and I got together and built three steampunk lifecounters for our Commander games in 2017. They use nixie tubes for the display and run on batteries! We sold one to pay for the parts, and use the other two to this day.
Yay, finally the Infinitokens episode is out! I absolutely love using those! Also I’ve realized I’ve seen enough of her streams now to recognize Olivia by her dope nails lol.
I'm really liking those Alter Sleeves! Now that we're officially allowed to double-sleeve in Yu-Gi-Oh! I could see myself getting a couple of those, granted they expand into YGO (and hopefully other TCGs as well) in the first place of course.
Currently we are only making sleeves for M:tG, but we plan on expanding into Yu-Gi-Oh and Pokemon in the future!

I have a Pokémon deck sleeved in Japanese Pokémon sleeves that I didn’t want to ruin. I found a pack of exterior sleeves meant to go over regular size sleeves, instead of the other way around. They had a pretty filigree that made a nice border on the cards face and made my adorable sleeves last longer. Love them, even years later.
I like alter sleeves. Perfect to stylize my sol ring, I like the revised art but I hate the most common art found in pre cons

I have been hoping you would cover the alter art sleeves. They are amazing and I have my K'rrik with Phyrexian script. I also use them to cover up all of my Gold Boarder cards in my decks. Those help me to cut costs while staying on the same level as my play group, and I can bling them up as I want

I'm going to look into those altered sleeves for every commander deck I build now. Make them really stand out on the battlefield compared to the rest! Plus those dry erase tokens sound great for the multi-use and even something like treasure tokens you could just draw up one and write a number next to it showing how many you have instead of cluttering your board with a stack of treasures.
I have a commander deck that runs lots of clone type creatures. I wanted a way to easily note the creature that was being cloned with out covering the artwork of the card being used. I printed out some colored card frames and cut out the area for the artwork, then I laminated them with a business card laminator. I now have a card that can cover the clone with that still shows the art below but I can write on it with a wet erase marker for whatever notes I need.
I think those rewritable cards are brilliant for tracking D&D inventories; your strength determines how big of a deck of inventory you can carry, and some items like torches don't take a whole card alone. Additionally, if a character uses multiple bags, you can use multiple decks and draw the bag on the front as well as how many cards worth of weight fit inside.
Personally I still like to carry a stack of tokens around for each of my edh decks, but my girlfriend has made great use of the dry erase tokens. In our d&d campaign we've had a number of vampire player characters, and she drew them to represent her 1/1 Vampire tokens for her vampire tribal deck.
I actually was recommended this just after purchasing a full-art alter sleeve for my Urza! Definitely recommend. The only thing is I wish they could print on resealable inners/smokes, since that’s what I typically use.
Saw alter sleeves just a few weeks ago while looking for art sleeves. Gotta say, while I'm not interested in double sleeving anymore, they're really impressive.
As for the LCD board, I try to track everything with dedicated accessories; card-sized life wheels, spindowns for commander damage and poison counters, glass beads for +1/+1 counters, loyalty, and commander tax; stuff like that. I could see using a pocket notebook for anything I missed, but I would have to play a LOT of Magic for a pocket notebook to be less useful than an LCD tablet.
Infinitokens look the most interesting to me. You're right, they'd be very useful for D&D, and I like the idea of practicing doodling for a token or other temporary boardstate that I didn't anticipate.

I personally love all the RK Post tokens, I bought some years ago. They really bring something extra to my commander games. For example, my friends always love it, when my Talrand deck produces its first tokens, because the drake token is an illustration of Drake (the rapper) and the wizard tokens are Harry Dresden. It's an extra conversation piece.
