Every time I hear the KORK Orchestra begin playing, I feel a surge of emotion because I know what is coming next: the most amazing rendition of Unchained Melody by the incomparable Angelina Jordan. She has a voice of an angel and a talent beyond words.
Unchained Melody Nobel Peace Prize 2023 Some ask why Angelina Jordan would pick Unchained Melody for this event, Narges Mohammadi, the Iranian human rights activist who received the prestigious award remains in Iran. One of the most popular and enduring love songs of all time, Unchained Melody, has a surprising origin. It was composed for a 1955 film called Unchained, which tells the story of a man who is incarcerated for a crime he did not commit. He yearns to be free and reunite with his wife and children, who are waiting for him outside. A Capello
This girl is now 17 and over 6 feet 1inch tall, and it all began with a 7-year-old tiny little girl singing a song in front of judges on NGT and that was one thing but singing "I'm A Fool To Want You" A Capello, and in-tune, this is just beyond belief. After viewing all there is on CZcams, and other venues, I must say, AJ never ceases to amaze a music connoisseur like me at 75. No one has ever captivated me like Angelina Jordan.
Her exact height has never been confirmed. Please don't state it like it's facts. Norway press interviewed her recently and confirmed 5'10". Her height has nothing to do with her singing but if you insist, don't exaggerate it. She's about 6ft tall, give or take. Soon the Internet will have her being 7ft 😂

When she was interviewed for her Norway concerts she was quoted at 180 cm. Fact is I've never seen anyone else con confirm this. How is this coming up 5 months later? She could be 6'1" but who cares? I've actually read someone say she is 6'4" on CZcams, like somehow, the taller the better. It's irrelevant just like the color of her contact lenses. You can make reference to Angelina with no mention of her height. Hopefully, it's not a sensitive issue. I generally avoid referring to physical attributes of minors. The exception would be sports figures. Height, strength etc is then relevant. No one cares if a rookie ball player can sign. Let's all have a great 2024!

I find you analogous to Carian, you have no legitimate argument, so you raise straw-dogs. And to think that around a year before this interview, Angelina had sung for that year's Nobel Peace Prize winners at a children's concert in her hometown of Oslo. One of her early accomplished goals -- along with singing for Simon and appearing on Norway's Got Talent -- was to sing in the Nobel Peace Prize Concert. Apparently she is now the first to perform at two such concerts before she turned 18.

And at six, Angelina was speaking to a a girl (about the same age)… while they were conversing in Farci (Iranian). Angelina was speaking Norwegian fluently at six, while being able to read and write (and sing) in English, and also having a conversation in Farci. Angelina clearly has a brilliant mind and a compassionate heart.

Yes I think most reactors do miss the fact that the encounter with the shoeless girl happened when Angelina was 6. Understandable especially if one is not already aware of the story. The time is not really mentioned in the interview so some probably think it was a recent occurrence (at the time). What I don’t know is if it’s verified exactly when, after the encounter, Angelina made the decision to perform barefoot. At the age of 6, I don’t think she had performed in public yet. However, she was barefoot at her Norways Got Talent at age 7. So her decision was made sometime prior to that.

I think “they” decided with the NGT performances for Angelina to perform in bare-feet. I say “they” because as a visual artist Mery was acutely aware of the importance of Angelina developing an “image.” I have for some time been of the opinion that Angelina and Mery are two bodies sharing a singular soul.
John Gary vs Angelina Jordan Unchained Melody ************
One of the most memorable experiences of my life was seeing John Gary perform live in Seattle, WA, when I was 20 years old. He had such a powerful and beautiful voice that filled the whole auditorium. During the break, he sat down on the edge of the stage and played his guitar, singing Unchained Melody with so much emotion and passion. It was a sublime moment that I shared with my wife, and I felt like we were the only ones in the room. At that time, I thought to myself; how could anyone top that performance, but 56 years later a 17-year-old Angelina Jordan just did.

Charity, she donated the 80,000 dollars she won on Norway’s Got Talent
Angelina Jordan won Norway’s Got Talent at the age of 8 in 2014, the prize for winning was eighty thousand dollars, this money was donated to children’s charities. At age 8 her first charity performance was in Germany to raise money for heart disease. Again, at age 8 she does a telethon for Plan International Children’s Charity. Still at age 8 she performs for Norwegian Sea Rescue Society Charity. On the 12th of Dec still at age 8, she performs at Save The Child Nobel Peace Prize, 4 days later, even though she has a very bad cold, she performs for the Swedish Heroes Foundation against her doctor's orders. At age 10 she performed for the Norwegian Refugee Council Charity. Also age 10 she performed in Seoul in South Korea for Rotary International to raise money for children’s vaccinations. Angelina Jordan comes from a very wealthy family and does need the money, she, and her family want to share her wonderful talent with the world. This is what makes AJ and her family so very special. This information was on Alan's Pod Cast.

The prize money was 500,000 Norwegian crowns, which was US$ 85,000 at the exchange rate in May 2014 - at today's exchange rate (end of December 2023) it is US$ 49,000.

AJ’s Christmas Show that live-streamed on Dec 23 of 21 had some of the most important musicians of our time: Frank Sinatra's drummer for 6 years, and sun in-law of the late Henry Mancini, Greg Field has won 9 Grammys, and the bass player, Chuck Berghofer who also played for Sinatra for 6 years, and toured with Barbara Streisand, accompanied AJ on her Christmas Show, and they stated that she had the "storytelling ability of the greats, Streisand, Fitzgerald, Vaughan, including Sinatra, to name a few. The main pianist, a five-time nominated for Grammys, Shelly Berg, stated in all his years working with the greatest vocalist, he had never encountered a talent like AJ. Did I forget to mention Jimmy Z, the famous Sax Player who worked with Rod Steward, Etta James, the Eurythmics, and Doctor Dre, was part of the band for the show? Jimmy stated that AJ was the best he has ever played for. Rob Christie Republic Records Studio Director at Universal Music Group Manhattan Beach, California played the guitar, and was the MC of the show. AJ now lives in West Hollywood in Los Angeles, where the record company Republic Records has built a separate music studio for her. I am sure other fans will explain the significance of her performance at the Nobel Prize Tribute. What l would like to point out is that when Angelina is the most connected to the music when she closes her eyes and cock her head to one side. You can see this from her very first performance on Norway's Got Talent. She clearly was "feeling it" at the Nobel Prize performance. If you look at the very end she puts her hand over her heart.

Angelina is one of the finest human beings walking this planet.
Angelina is the only artist to have been invited to perform at the Nobel Peace Prize event, twice. IMO, given how pure of heart she is the event coordinators made the perfect choice in selecting her to perform. There is no question that Angelina will be receiving multiple awards for being one of the most spectacularly talented artists in the world.
She is on the cusp of achieving world renowned super star status.
I liked your reaction to my favorite singer. I need to respectfully disagree with the comment any child would have given away her shoes. Those sea green boots were her favorite and she wore them everywhere. She had a moment of pure love and her heart told her that girl needed shoes. She was 6 years old!
Angelina is the living definition of a musical prodigy on a genius level. If you notice in the last song much of it she sings with her eyes closed. She says when she closes her eyes and sings she goes to a place of unmatched beauty, like her voice. She will always remain true to herself, she has donated millions to charity, she is a Being of Light, one that the world truly needs in these times.

Well, the both of you should be congratulated for putting together a wonderful video featuring our darling princess Angelina Jordan. I could go on for pages and pages but I'll keep it short. Angelina is on a mission, one she has chosen to do. She wants so much for all of us to feel joy when we listen to her sing, and hope when hope is necessary and love. Angelina is all about love and to me I believe she is a messenger of love. The people around the world who love her and adore her are not her fans, they are her 'angels' and we regard ourselves as part of her extended family. She is our daughter, grand daughter, great grand daughter, sister, aunt, you see what I mean. Her voice is her instrument to touch people's hearts but the real magic is finding out 'who she is' as a humble, kind, caring and loving human being and when someone puts that all together, well, once she's in your heart her love will never leave.

When she was nine she did a great rendition of the song. With seventeen she sings the best rendition ever. No one has sung this song better.

On another note, Angelina has lived in Los Angeles for a few years, to be close to her record label Republic Records. Norway of course is her original home, and this Nobel Peace Prize ceremony is being held in Oslo Norway.

The way Angelina has complete control of her vocal colour and texture. This performance is more extraordinary when you compare it with her new EP she put out this year. This is not the style she has been singing in. She has chosen to flex her vocal This way to give the emotional performance in front of the children of Nargis Mohammedi honoured here who was whipped Imprisoned and is on hunger strike. She does all the vocal arrangements herself, even when she was a little kid. The musicians she has worked with over the years have always called her the boss. By age 6 she spoke Norwegian, Farsi, (her grandmother'sPersian), and English. She plays piano, guitar, flute and violin. She has done over 200 covers and many originals, couple of EPs, latest EP Old Enough is all original songs.
Her parents have held the music industry at bay for years insuring that she has a childhood and finishes school first. She signed with Republic Records at age 14 with part of the deal reportedly being that they're not allowed to promote her like their other new artists, I think, until she's 18, which will be this January 10th.
I could be wrong, but that's the rumor. Or until she gets out of school, something like that.

I have always admired the Righteous Brothers, but I was disappointed by the cover that Bobby Hatfield made. Hatfield transformed one of the most exquisite ballads into a jazzy tune without the reverence that it warranted. In contrast, Angelina Jordan reduced the speed, and with her heavenly signature voice she delivered a tribute to this immortal song with the best version of Unchained Melody I have ever heard in my 76 years of life.

Angelina was actually only 6 years old when she wrote about her encounter with the shoeless girl. I don’t think I even knew what a journal was at that age. A truly remarkable person!

i guess many people dont know that Angelina was seen in LA during Covid somewhere in a poor district behind a table feeding homeless and poor people - a Tradition she picked up from her maternal Grandfather who helped people in Norway - no press around to get it on the news - no publishing on her channels - just happy helping - thats our common Granddaughter - i saw a picture done from some distance but i cannot find it now - if someone knew where to find that photo pls send a link....🙏

Sofia Vergara is 5'7" tall and has heels that are 5", so she is standing 6ft, Heidi Klum is 5'9" tall and has 2" boots on, so she is 5'11" tall, Angelina is not wearing shoes, and she is 6'1", (this has been verified by Sara Astar, AJ's mother while she was speaking to fans at the Portsmouth, MA concert that took place in September of this year),. and she is stunning, to say the least. I wish they would not tilt the camera; I hope AJ is happy with her stature because there is nothing like her on earth, she is greatest storytelling signature voice I have ever experienced in my 76 years.

**** AJ will turn 18 on January 10th of 22. As for self-confidence, I believe that Angelina knows she is unique, to say the least, but she is so well grounded it has not gone to her head. She understands that one must earn the adoration she is receiving from BILLIONS of fans. An example of this was when she cried, trying to express how much she appreciated all of the fans that flew into Norway from all over the world for the 3 concerts she put on in June of this year. Great reaction , however i have to take issue with dominika who said " any kid would have acted simalar " ( giving away her shoes ) i just cant agree with that statement .angelina was aged 6 when she met the shoeless girl , to have a mindset as that at aged 6 is imo absolutely mind blowing and incredible , not the actions you would see from any other child imo .

Angelina Jordan is very good, but everything today has auto tune and pitch correction software, or it isn't allowed to be released. The music industry limits the artists creativity that those in the early decades had. This song will always belong to Bobby Hatfield of the Righteous Brothers who sang it live in 1965 on a television performance with his parents in the audience. You should definitely give that version a listen.
Angelina does NOT allow auto tune on ANY of her music, she doesn't need it and her company she signed with Republic Records respects her wishes.
