That comment was my small contribution to my fellow Angels community. It dawned on me when I watched the video in owe several times the first day it was posted. In the beginning sequence, as she pulls the sheet of the covered old piano, it was a striking visual with a thin cloud of dust underscoring the point. She was uncovering classy older music in general and the upcoming song in particular. Magica! 🤩👣🔥🧡🙌❣️

You might want to watch this again, remembering that she is singing this for an incarcerated mother whose children are present to accept this award. She is being so respectful to the recipient and her family and realizing the solemn occasion. Such maturity and wisdom for her age!
I have always admired the Righteous Brothers, but I was disappointed by the cover that Bobby Hatfield made. Hatfield transformed one of the most exquisite ballads into a jazzy tune without the reverence that it warranted. In contrast, Angelina Jordan reduced the speed, and with her heavenly signature voice she delivered a tribute to this immortal song with the best version of Unchained Melody I have ever heard in my 76 years of life.
She sang an even slower version during her concert in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Unbelievable. I'm so thrilled to have heard her live and I will go hear her anytime I can!!

Angelina, whether singing an original or a cover, ALWAYS showcases the song. She never puts her voice over the song. Her voice speaks for itself (pun intended). She doesn't ever need to show-off.
So tender, for the award winner, imprisoned in Iran for advocating for women's right, and for her 17 year-old twins, who were present at the tribute concert. Somehow, to me, Angelina puts herself in the middle, almost a conduit for the family to speak to one another, IMHO. Great reaction. Thank you!

Her cover of 'You say' ' is worth a look. Somehow I hear the girl in her.
To add to what you've said about singing it delicately. She is focusing on the lyrics. Other reactors have said that she covers songs that they never listened to the lyrics so much before. But now they are really hearing the words when she sings them. I would agree. She is enunciating the lyrics with purpose and meaning. It is not style over form. She's letting the meanings of the words really breath.

Hi G.O.T, You should react to angelinas cover of Lauren Daigles song You Say. Lauren won a grammy with that song in 2019 and it was number one on the charts for over a year. Thank you for reacting to this beautifully respectful performance by Angelina Jordan. There have been dozens of reactions to this tribute to Narges Mohammadi yet only a couple reactors did a little research to learn about this years recipient. I think you will agree 100%, once you learn about Narges and Angelina's connection to her, this performance takes on a whole new light. We fully appreciate all the time and effort reactors take to create their videos but I believe those who take a couple minutes to learn some background, produce far better reaction videos. A very easy way to learn some background, for any video, is to scan the comments under the original video and read a couple which provide the background.
While I think it a great idea to spend a couple minutes researching every video prior to recording a reaction, I know Angelina's catalog of music and there is something to be learned about each video. Angelina is a incredible artist, with so many talents, and has inspired me to improve myself. I truly hope this comment, and Angelina, will inspire you to improve in many ways and get to 500k subscribers much faster.

Rob was the MC of AJ Christmas Show that aired Dec 23, of 21. AJ’s Christmas Show that live-streamed on Dec 23 of 21 had some of the most important musicians of our time: Frank Sinatra's drummer for 6 years, and sun in-law of the late Henry Mancini, Greg Field has won 9 Grammys, and the bass player, Chuck Berghofer who also played for Sinatra for 6 years, and toured with Barbara Streisand, accompanied AJ on her Christmas Show, and they stated that she had the "storytelling ability of the greats, Streisand, Fitzgerald, Vaughan, including Sinatra, to name a few. The main pianist, a five-time nominated for Grammys, Shelly Berg, stated in all his years working with the greatest vocalist, he had never encountered a talent like AJ. Did I forget to mention Jimmy Z, the famous Sax Player who worked with Rod Steward, Etta James, the Eurythmics, and Doctor Dre, was part of the band for the show? Beautiful reaction, thanks. The ability this girl has to move those who listen to her is absolutely incredible. This interpretation of her is fascinating and wonderfully intimate, it made this legendary song perfectly suited for the occasion of the tribute to Narges Mohammadi! I was moved to see and hear Angelina singing in such an incredibly mature and charming way 7 years after the last time and in the same studio and certainly also with some of the musicians who accompanied her as a child, when she took her first steps towards his musical future. Here Angelina was simply fantastic and "unchained", a singer who has already sung on 2 different occasions at the Nobel Prizes and at only 17 years old.💛🧡❤

Love your enthusiasm. This is truly a special performance... After her presentation, Angelina went on Instagram and stated that she was “beyond privileged ” to be part of this concert. She went on to thank KORK and their administrator for “trusting” her in the “process” of making this incredible rendition of “Unchained Melody ”. While we ‘Angels’ sit back in amazement at Angelina’s performance, she understands that it was a team effort that created this special moment. In this day of Hollywood glitz and glamor it’s so refreshing to see this humble old school professional come along and acknowledge the organization and musicians who worked so hard with her to create this unique and special tribute… KORK was formed in 1946. They are a world class orchestra. Angelina performed twice with them when she was 10 years old. She sang what was perhaps her best rendition of “Summertime ”. And, she performed “Back to Black”. After listening to “Back to Black” in the mixing studio, she was very unhappy with some element of the performance. She very quietly and politely spoke to the director about her concerns. The orchestra went back, picked up their instruments and played the performance until this little 10 year old girl was satisfied that it was presented properly. I remember being so impressed with the respect shown Angelina. Together Angelina and KORK are simply magic. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if, in the near future, she could sing with them and create an album. It would be spectacular. 👣👣💕

She graduated from the LA School of Performing Arts last summer. She hopes to do a world tour in 2024.
She's been living in LA since she was 12, and she will turn 18 in 2 days, on Jan 10th. You have missed AT LEAST 14 performances, those including both of her EPs. The name of the EPs are "Old Enough" (Exclusively originals) and a Christmas EP called "Driving Home For Christmas". (5 songs) The title track is a new recording, but the other 4 are taken from her digital Christmas concert on Dec 23rd 2021, when she was 15. On that concert she also performed my all time favorite by her, namely her cover of Lauren Daigle's "You Say". THAT is one that you HAVE to react to. 15 years old. Btw, it's not Grammy's Next Top Model, but rather Germany's Next Top Model. She performed 2 songs there, "Valerie" and "Love On The Brain". Valerie is completely uninterrupted and during "LOTB" you get to hear some commentary from the host of the show (Heidi Klum who awarded Angelina the Golden Buzzer for her rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody on America's Got Talent The Champions when Angelina was 13 ) Greetings from Norway 👍👍👍

Angelina doesn't just "Sing". She creates a complete musical experience in combination with the band/orchestra/symphony/ensemble, whoever she is performing with. Her approach to music is to highlight the performance as a whole as art, from the vocals to the arrangement, to the instrumentals. She creates a sonic sculpture. If you listen to her new Christmas music she released this year, her vocals were outstanding, but what made the songs memorable was the combination of the jazz arrangement, the musicians, and the vocals which all combined to create fantastic, musical masterpieces. My friend, Miss Angelina resides in LA since 2020. She went to Highschool and finished it in summer 2023. She also came to learn at the Music Academy LA. Now that she has finished school, she slowly take back the breaks and already has a banger on the radio "Our Time" used by a BIG US company for commercials.

I remember your 1st one and it seems like years ago but appears to have only been a little over a year. You have missed so much but you had only gone through about a dozen of Angelina's performances. So you really haven't even started with 200 + performances to choose from. In the last year you've only seen her second original 'Now I'm the Fool' from her new EP dropped this past year. Still have 5 originals left. She also just dropped a christmas EP as well. she has also dropped a song "Our Time' for a commercial. She has performed at The FIFA Best Player Award Ceremony singing their official theme song for the year. She sang at the Asian Awards ceremony recently as well as Germany's Next Top Model as a guest of Heidi Klum who gave the Golden Buzzer on America's Got Talent when she sang Bohemian Rhapsody. She also recently was invited to Le Bal ? in Paris for new debutantes coming of age.
You could do a reaction once a week and it would take you several years to get through all of them. And with the amount of new releases you may never catch up. So much available. A wonderful reaction, G. This performance, for many reasons, was very special to Angelina. Yes, she could have wowed us with power and belting, but she chose to handle it with care and tenderness. We can hear and feel the sadness and longing in her voice, crying out for the release of Narges and for her return to her family. The Nobel committee made the right decision by choosing Angelina for this occasion.

Age? We've been listening to her and been in awe of her since she was 7! Measuring the affect she has on us by considering her age is something we considered when we first heard her sing. But, soon after, we have come to realize there is so much more going on, isn't there? Humanity has faced challenges throughout it's existence and we have continued to survive despite reasons to believe it would not. Angelina's soulfulness, so genuine and never disputed, transitions into a form of pure love when we listen to her sing 'for us' and not only do we feel her love in our hearts but she also inspires us to always have hope, hope that the world can be a better place to live for everyone and to be kinder, more caring and loving than ever before in our lives. So, we are not listening to a 7 year older, or a 10 year older, etc., we are listening to a force in Nature which is undeniably being delivered to us with the soft and glowing tones of Angelina's voice. Sooner than later, when millions upon millions of people get to listen to her sing and get to know 'who she is', can she make a difference by sharing her love with all of us?

I've been listening to her since November , 2017 and she is one of three singers that moves me to tears every time I hear her sing. The other two are Morissette of the Philippines and Daneliya Tuleshova from Kazakhstan and now from the U.S. since August, 2022 where she lives in Boston.
Angelina has always heard every song differently. While we 'normals' hear what comes out of the record, Angelina hears what should be coming out of the record. Then there is her new music that she has written. She says she has over 100 songs sitting waiting to be recorded. Incomparable as a singer, prolific as a songwriter, the future looks bright for this prodigy.

At 3:32 in the video you can see her toes peek out. Yes, she is still our one and only Barefoot Princess. Everything you said and more. Her class and style are such a breath of fresh air in today's barage of female vocalists. I always get an Audrey Hepburn feel from Angelina. Definitely a throwback to a long gone era.

There are a couple of EPs for you to look at. Her orginal "Old Enough" EP from last summer and the recent Christmas EP.
I am pretty sure that the Christmas EP is just the recording from her 2021 stream, except for "Driving Home For Christmas", that has to have been recorded recently. The other songs sound exactly like the recording of the 2021 stream.
As for her original EP, brace yourself for some very rich, grown-up Angelina's vocals.
The band she performed with for her 2021 Christmas special was legendary, having played with Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Etta James and many other legends of music.
