Everything about Sydnie is a breath of fresh air. I love her personality. Now, pay attention to her songs, they seem to be autobiographical as she begins with Tomorrow, moves on to singing My Way and then ends with her dreams of going Over the Rainbow. She is a generational talent. Also, for what it's worth, look at how she dresses. She looks like an orphan singing Tomorrow, then looks like she belongs to Wall Street in My Way, and is angelic when singing Over the rainbow. I will also tell you that I really do appreciate the way you address her talent. I've cried so much watching her sing as I feel thrilled that she is finally getting noticed and that I have the luxury of hearing her sing.

I mean, the show production had their hands in make that musical story arc, but it does indeed fit the character, her, perfectly, even if I am sure it was not preconceived by her alone and was more a result of television storytelling. But for once they got it right.
Her technique and humanity shine powerfully, and you react beautifully to it.

I have mentioned that Sydnie’s three performances was her resume on why she should be on the West End !! I agree with you, I would pay $500+ a ticket to hear her sing in a production. Such a natural and God blessed talent that she had embraced and wants to share with us all❤❤❤
Sydnie's rotten luck has been being turned down for parts in the West End, as can happen too much, despite proven talent. She has loved singing since her teens: a few of her private and small studio recordings are on youtube, as you'll find, including "Defying Gravity".

This is surely the break that will save her talent, as she said she was about to lay it down but for this attempt at the BGT. She also sings "Somewhere over the rainbow" that's played in the background. That was either get song in the semi finals or finals, the other song she sang was "My way" in a breathtaking way. I've never really liked that song but I love how she sang it, same with "Tomorrow" I think I've listened to her sing it probably 12 times since I saw this video the first time I saw it.

That old-school style you hear is a mixture of Streisand/Bassey's voice. Sydnie Christmas has a very unique sound to her voice.
You must check her second performance (semi-final with "My way") and third performance (final with "Over the rainbow") on BGT. Mind blowing.
Luke, loved your reaction. Sydnie has some theatrical experience, having minor roles in plays (Lazarus in London and Starlight Express in Germany). Most were “Swing” type roles, meaning she performed when another minor cast member wasn’t available.
And she sang on cruise ships. You think anyone remembered her name after they left the theater? All in all, that experience gave her the confidence to be funny when she needed to be and determined when she needed to be. That game face at 04:21 after being funny.

I was obsessed with this audition when it first came out it was INCREDIBLE, this version of TOMORROW was sung by MARISHA WALLACE. SYDNIE has an effortless powerhouse voice and down to earth personality. I didn't like her semi finals song choice but you should definitely check out her FINALS Performance.
BRUNO TONIOLI is the guy on the far left, he's a dancer, choreographer, tv personality more notably a judge on Strictly Dancing (UK) and Dancing With The Stars (USA). Because of commitment to DWTS he will be replaced on BGT with KSI (is the rumor).
She's got a real Judy Garland vibe but definitely a style all her own. Love her.
