This Roman Action Strategy Game Is AMAZING! Warlord Britannia Review

- Ever dream of leading a Roman legion? Or more specifically, during the conquest of Britannia? This is exactly what Warlord: Britannia is all about. Here, you're the Roman legate in charge of building army camps, recruiting legionaries, upgrading them and outfitting them with better armour, and of course, waging war and deciding what to do with conquered settlements.
I've found Warlord: Britannia to be an extremely charming and fun action strategy game in the same vein as Mount and Blade: Bannerlord, and I love that it takes place during the Roman era, a time period previously explored too little. Here then, a kind of mix between Minecraft, Total War and Bannerlord is made, and Warlord is all the better for it! If there is Voice acting, and this phrase isn't copyright by CA (idk why it would), I REALLY miss when in the original Rome: total war and you conquered a settlement, the advisor would yell, "This land is Roman!" Simple, yet so effective it's embedded into my memory nearly twenty years later haha
If modding tools are added, that could always be a mod

Honestly this game is really hard because those raids absolutely destroy your army but once the game gets balanced I’m down to play for hours
Maybe the walking should stay? I mean, what is it truly like taking an island as an invader? It may be annoying but also needed to actually play as an invader.

It's not and I'm glad it won't be. I'd rather support a passionate lone developer with $20 than pay $60+ game for a broken game with paid DLCs to fix it.
@@zachzane14 or a monetized to fk free to play... I swear I have spent way more on league of legends than I ever did on total war. But I agree with your sentiment. Though I'd rather give an Indy Dev money if the game is good. Rimworld certainly paid off and Tynan is always adding more to the game :)

@@Deltium5683 graphics are simple but charming, gameplay mechanics are not too complex, but its definitely much more brutal than it looks.

@@Deltium5683 kind of late to response just found this game at 2:30 am, but you do know it's a lone developer with no hires yet to help him work, ide like to see you try try working on a game alone by yourself, also it came out on the 24th of may, so give him a break, it's not like the graphics are bad, there really good, the game is pretty basic for now, but he just needs to hire people to help him or something, and maybe in a few months or a year you might come back to this game and say wow this is a good game.
