- Of all the DLC campaigns we’ve had for a Total War game, Attila’s DLCs have to be near the top of my list of favourites. Age of Charlamagne did such a good job with great immersive new mechanics like War Weariness, brilliant new factions that were difficult but enjoyable & a fantastic looking campaign map.
And then we have The Last Roman which did a decent job of depicting the reconquests of lost Western Roman lands & of course bringing to life one of my favourite generals, Belisarius. But it could have been better, and in today’s video I’m going to show you a mod that actually does make it a lot better.
From the developer who made 555 AD Age of Justinian: Age of Belisarius adds 3 new factions, completely overhauls every faction in the DLC, rebalances battles for more realism & better AI behaviour and a lot more. It’s one of my favourite overhaul mods & there’s no doubt in my mind if you’re seeing this for the first time you will definitely enjoy it too.

Mod looks Great what submods is compatible?
This is the best DLC which needs to be converted into antiquity like Ancient Empires and include the Punic Wars, Pyrrhus, and Illyrian Wars.
Epic History TV.. I can't get the narrator's voice out of my head, anytime I hear Belisarius.
Made a campaign with Belisarius when it came out, what a blast to conquer back all Africa from vandals, top notch!
I don't own the DLC yet, but if I purchase it, I will definitely go straight for this mod instead of the Vanilla DLC, ty mate!

I may give this mod a go at some point been hooked on ancient empires mod for attila so far
i've finished the campaign already! epic adventure :D I wanted to send you a message to make a video about this, you already did it ! well done ! It didn't stop while i was playing this campaign, what a great map would this be for a sub-mod - 2nd Punic war - for Ancient Empire ! If i would be a modder, i would already started. So in the meantime, i've discussed with the modder, and he is aware the AI needs to be more agressive, so i send him one suggestion that when Belisarius is near Rome, The AI should defend Rome and have scripted armies that will attack you eventually.

If we’re being historically accurate the battles should not be balanced, the Roman’s should be able to destroy the vandals and have an advantage against the goths, but be limited in recruitment and have generals undermining each other witch did happen.
I am curious, where do you get the most from your intel? do you have sources like discord, or subreddits? or do yoy just scouer the steam workshop everyday?
People reach out to me, I look through the workshops and get recommendations from comments as well. Lots of different sources :)

4:13 what is this fix? Is it new?
Need your advice Terminator I am playing Empire TW darthmod. My darthmod setting are these:-
1. Campaign DME Ultimate Early
2. Default years 4
3. Gameplay ✔No Forts
My game difficulties are:-
1. Campaign - hard
2. Battle difficulty - hard
3. Playing faction - Maratha
The problem with my game is that by the third turn every faction on Indian subcontinent along with their Allies declare war on Me. I did no alliances with any European faction had concluded only Trade treaties (my pre set game enemies are Mughal Empire. My pre set trading partners are Mysore, by the first turn I am able to trade with Britain, that is the diplomacy that I have). I have also tried to make all European faction very friendly by giving them money or state gifts but even after becoming 'very friendly' with me they declare war on Me the very next turn.
My only trade partner that is before the game starts in Indian sub continent is Mysore. Which everytime within 2 turns cancels the trade contract and declare war on me.
I just want to say you said darthmod was a good mod but I feel with my setting it's going crazy.
Any fixes for this issue in the game??
Hi M D, I'm not sure what The Terminator would recommend but I tend to stick to Normal on Campaign difficulty as the AI seems very aggressive on Hard difficulty and declares war on you...this seems to be the same with most of the mods I've played in Empire.
@@martynhulland6252 have you seen Lionheart10x's Maratha Campaign. I think in campaign I should choose Empire instead of DME because in Lionheart10x campaign he is playing hard on campaign difficulty and very hard on battle difficulty and still he does not gets a crazy war from all sides. By the way Thanks for sharing your experience.
@@MD-jv3tt I haven't seen those playthroughs with Lionheart..I'll have a look. Darthmod for sure is a great mod..many options to play with. Maybe it is balanced for Normal Campaign difficulty.
Imperial Destroyer is a good mod.
We could do with an Empire 2 or at least a Remastered version of the original with full mod support.

@@martynhulland6252 I tried Imperial destroyer followed the instructions of installing it but it did not run.... was crashing after loading screen came up. That why I choose darthmod.
@@MD-jv3tt I believe there is a CZcams video or two that explain how to install..I think Lord John explains at the beginning of one of his play throughs with the Netherlands.
I did experience a couple of crashes when playing battles..but overall a great mod.

Oh this looks awesome. Ill have to check it out, Ultimate 12 turns per year for divide et impera has just updated for dei 1.3 as well, you should check it out up to 1,500ish subs so far, but trying to grow it more. Check it out!
nice video again. and the Total war AI is a coward mostly only atttacking 10-2 win their favour. lol generally, you have 3 settlements with 500 garrison and the forth wil have 480 they will attack that lower counted one. same with armies.....
Hold up my guy… you don’t play on legendary?? That’s all I play I thought it was easy on legendary till you conquer all of Italy then it’s too much land to hold

The Last Roman is the worst piece of garbage I have ever played. Ca didnt even bother to playtest their own DLC pack. Playing as Belisarius is the only way to "enjoy" this DLC. Other factions are basically unplayable. Try to play as Franks or Visigoths on hard/very hard/legendary. It's unplayable with anti player bias taken to the extreme.
