This is super helpful for planning a trip to Buenos Aires!
Thank you, I’m happy to help!
Last minute planning. This is a life saver! Thanks so much for making this video! ❤
Aw you’re welcome! So glad you found it helpful♥️ enjoy Buenos Aires, it’s incredible!
I (local) recommend to just stay a long time in the “Lagos de Palermo” it’s our Central Park 😅 There’s little boats you can rent, if you. like to run and you have some extra time you can do that too!!! The cementary of Chacarita is HUGE!!! And really beautiful… maybe not a must but really pretty. Gustavo Cerati (A great Argentinian musician is buried there and other great people too ♥️ A great shopping center in Alto Palermo and is in Avenida Santa Fe and slightly near all the parks!! Its the “border” of Recoleta and Palermo
- Also, kinda near the Obelisco and the Colon (a guided tour is lovely) there is Av. Corrientes, and it is alive 24/7 lol!!! You can eat GREAT pizzas in places like Güerrin (the BEST ones for me)
BUENOS AIRES is also really pet-friendly, gluten free-friendly ( i am celiac) vegan-friendly and just great, have an awesome time here 💓💓
if ANYONE needs advice of maybe local little tips let me know because I know my city from start to end 😅😅😅😅
This is AMAZING! Thanks so much for sharing!!!❤️
Yooo I just clicked ur video and watched about 5seconds before liking your video just for the amount of detail you have in your description alone. The Google map thing is so clutch and love how you organized everything. I'll give it a full watch in a min but just want to let you know I really appreciate this as a first impression.
Wow this might be the nicest comment I’ve ever gotten!! That means a lot to me cuz I really wanna help people plan their trips as best as possible. So I really appreciate that, thank you :)

It’s an amazing city ❤️❤️
Great video, keep it up. I have been to Bas twice but haven't spent that much time in the Palermo area.
Try Cabanas las lilas around puerto madero, that is a great spot.
Great recommendations btw.
Cheers
Thanks so much Julio, I appreciate it! Palermo is awesome, hopefully you get a chance to spend some time there. And I’ll definitely add Cabanas Las Lilas to my list, thanks. Cheers!
Great info. I have friends who's family is from here and she wants to go. I will definitely share this with her. Very useful info.
Thank you! That’s so awesome! Yes definitely share it with them- hopefully they can visit soon. It’s an amazing city 😊
Very useful
Thanks so much!
Great video! I'm going on holiday to Argentina from 17 March until 2 April: Buenos Aires, Ushuaia, and El Calafate. This will be my third visit to Argentina. However, my previous visits were a long time ago: mid 80's and early 90's. I am going to see if Argentina is a good country to retire to when I finally retire in '26. Besides the unstable currency, my greatest concern about Argentina is that I'm vegan. During my first visit to Argentina, I was a carnivore. On my second visit to Argentina in the early 90s, I was a vegetarian and did not find BA vegetarian-friendly at all. Hopefully, the vegan/vegetarian situation in BA at least has ameliorated in the last three decades.
Thanks so much! That’s exciting, Buenos Aires would be a lovely place to retire in my opinion I loved it so much. I’m honestly not sure about the vegan situation, but I do think in general it would be a challenge since their cuisine is so meat-heavy. But fingers crossed on this trip you find a ton of vegan options!
I guess you're already in Buenos Aires & all over in Argentina by now ! I am a vegetarian & been watching tons of videos of Argentina & googling a lot & learnt that they've got more vegans than the States !! And vegan friendly restaurants/ Cafe are everywhere in Argentina ,even in El Calafate !! I was once a vegan for 17 years & still eat lots of vegan foods mainly . I am planning to visit there in the near future with mom. I am super jealous that you're there right now !! I bet you're having a blast there !! 👍👍💜🥁🐉🎤🎶✈️🇦🇷⚽️💞
@@spark_6710 Visa pays the blue dollar rate. Mastercard doesn't. We're almost finished with my two-week holiday in Argentina: BA, Ushuaia, El Calafate, and back to BA. We were informed by our tour guide for the Recoleta Cemetary that Visa pays the blue dollar rate. We had to pay by card to enter the Recoleta Cemetary as they don't accept cash. I used my Visa card and discovered that I was only charged GBP 4.74 entrance fee to the Recoleta Cemetery. I then started to use my Visa card and discovered that I was getting an exchange rate of AR$340 to 1 US$. Which is not too different from the current blue rate of AR$380 to 1 US$. We found lots of vegan restaurants and most other restaurants have at least a vegetarian option. We did not starve during our Argentine holiday!
Full of delicious veggie restaurants and shops 🐄🦀
hoped you liked my country ❤
Buen video!
Thanks so much! :)
Thanks for tips..we will be there for 6 days and for the first time I do not feel overwhelmed with what to do and the time it takes to enjoy the food, sights and sounds. Thanks once again. Quick question, when arriving at the international airport ..is it better to get a sim cards there at the airport( even though it is usually way more expensive) in order to be able to get a uber or cabyfi, and since we are coming from Germany, we will have some euros in cash with us just in case, but our main concern is getting to the Hotel in Palermo first and then to Western Union immediately after. Thanks for your help
I’m so glad you found it helpful! I wouldn’t buy a sim in the airport since they’re overpriced. I would be sure to download Uber before you leave, and once you arrive keep your phone on airplane mode but connect to the airport WiFi to order the Uber. Then once you’re in Palermo you can go to western Union & get a local prepaid SIM card!
Vivo cerca de plaza Serrano, en Buenos Aires. Muy bien informada pero era tal la velocidad con que desarrolladas tu relato, que no se disfrutaba. Podrias hacet un barrio por video. Yo entendí todo porque vivo acá pero ...
Thanks for watching
Great video! I have got a question: how did you manage to find some people for hanging out? Any recommendations for people travelling alone to Buenos aires spending there a few weeks?
Thank you! I definitely recommend joining some FB groups, type in “expats in Buenos Aires” or “digital nomads in Buenos Aires” so you can reach out to people and see events! I actually met multiple people just because I lived in Palermo, so I’d randomly meet people in restaurants or bars since the area is filled with expats :)
I’m glad I came across this video. We have an upcoming trip that we’re excited about, so thanks for the recommendations.
Can you post the link to your google maps please? The link in the description isn’t working for me for some reason. Thanks!
I’m so glad! So sorry about that, I just reposted the link. Let me know if you still have issues accessing it!
It works now thanks!
I can help you with recommendations based on what you want to do, i am a local. Greetings.
Very nice video! I plan to go their next year in November. The tour group I will be with will also going to a ranch and the Iguazu Falls. Do you know where the Hard Rock Cafe is?
Thank you, I’m glad you found it helpful! Oh amazing, I really wanted to do both of those and didn’t get a chance as it was pretty expensive. I don’t know where the Hard Rock Cafe is, but once you’re there you can type it into Google maps and it’ll be easy to walk or get an Uber there :)
Just so you know, followed your advice, ignoring the la boca neighbourhood (its just not safe) and had a great time. Thank you
I’m so glad you enjoyed yourself! Buenos Aires is an amazing city :)
Tres días en Buenos Aires es muy poco para conocer la ciudad, necesitas como mínimo un mes para explorar Buenos Aires. Besos Abrazos Bendiciones desde Lincoln Argentina
Three days in Buenos Aires is very little to get to know the city, you need at least one month to explore Buenos Aires. Kisses Hugs Blessings from Lincoln Argentina
I agree! I’m glad I got to spend 5 weeks in Buenos Aires, but not everyone has that kind of time unfortunately :(

I was in Buenos Aires in March 2022. They had the weird thing going on that nowhere would sell the public transportation card, (they said no material!). I see that you have that card, can buy the cards easily now, I supposed. Can you recommend a few not-so-touristy spots? I have been to BA 2 times before but would love to check out some hidden gems, and some steak houses only locals know. Enjoy your travel.
Ya you can easily find a public transportation card when I went- just find a Kiosko with a “Sube” sign out front! For some not-touristy spots, I really loved Parque Centenario (if you enjoy relaxing in parks, it was very local), I also really enjoyed shopping for books at Feria de Libros Plaza Italia! As for steak houses that only locals know about- I’m sorry I can’t help you out! I only know of Don Julio & Estillo Campo. Thanks, enjoy yours too :)
Parrilas: Locos por el Asado, El ferroviario. Averigua la ubicación, son buenos restaurantes de carnes pero mucho más baratos que Don Julio que es sólo para extranjeros por lo caro.
@@susanabarth6393 Gracias!
This video gave me so many great ideas for my trip there in a few weeks. My question is, I hate to ask, but is there a decent amount of natives who speak English in the tourist areas?
Aw good I’m so glad you found it helpful!! Honestly I’d say not that many people spoke English, but it was really easy to get by with Google translate on our phones and some basic Spanish skills
Is a car rental necessary in Patagonia? Thank you in advance
No definitely not, I just took buses! I have 2 Patagonia videos on my channel that will help you plan!
@@SheRunTheWorld Thanks! Isn't Argentina fantastic?
😍
Glad you liked it!
the minute she said to people watch, i checked out
Okay😂
The place you talked about is actually call Avant Garten
Thanks for sharing!
@@SheRunTheWorld thank you!
Don Julio is still the best of the parrillas and Alcatraz is good, but many other places to eat too and better bars
Thanks for your comment
No video about Peru or Brazil???
Unfortunately no. We had everything booked for Peru for January of this year, but the protests were really dangerous at that time so we had to cancel. And I’ve been to Brazil in 2016 so decided not to go back this trip!
Mostrá mas tiempo los lugares de la ciudad y menos vos, todo el tempo está tu cara en el video.
Yeah it’s more so about helping people plan their itinerary! :)
Sos una anciana hater?
Love your video but you should be careful to look at the camera not your notes.
Thanks!!
wow your trip help me
I’m so glad! Enjoy Buenos Aires :)
Porque no hacen traducción automática en español, tendrían más visitas
I have to type them manually & I don’t speak Spanish!🙈 I’m sorry!
Para eso vas a la configuración del video, buscas subtitulos, traducción automática, seleccionas idioma español y listo.
Easy to be fluent on english...
are you still in BA ?
Nope i was there October & November!!
@@SheRunTheWorld yea but you got the virus now you'' ll be back. 😀😀
