In Argentina we eat the meat well done and it does not get dry or rubberlike as it is very tender and juicy. The level foreigners consider "done" for most of us looks "raw".

Hello here an Argentinean living in the USA, and I couldn't let it pass but in the minute 5:15, the murals of Maradona, Messi, and the other guy is not Kempes but Daniel Alberto Passarella being carried as he lift the World Cup in 1978.

Argentina offers unique cuisine. Asado, empanadas and locro are the most known plates that visitors can enjoy. Besides, the Argentina Rentista Visa allows you to legally reside in Argentina if you can prove that you have a certain income monthly.
Super impressed with Alyssa. Seems like both her and the person that explained all the details on how to prepare mate really knew their stuff ! She described details like how to shake it to get the dust out of the mate, where to place the yerba, how to pour the water, what temperature the water's supposed to be , don't stir it, don't mix it, everything ! Incredible to see. 😲✌ P.S. : Sitting down in a park drinking mate is probably one of the truly most Argentinian things you could have ever done in your trip. Props to y'all for that !
When you drink mate for the first time you really need to try the light version with sugar. It's a completely different taste.
A algún fundamentalista del mate no le va a gustar Jaj
I'm an Argentinian that grew up in Australia. It doesn't matter how many times I attempt to drink mate with or without sugar, I can't enjoy it.
@@cariaus3758 If you grew up in Australia you missed the tradition of drinking and sharing mate, it also takes time to learn to prepare it well, and there are dozens of versions, with herbs, with milk, with juices, with yerba and toasted sugar, with sweetener, with zest of citrus etc. Over time everyone finds their favorite
@DiegoALexis2079 Well, I've been surrounded by a pretty large Argentinean and Uruguayan community all my life, so the sharing mate was always happening around me. I've tried lot's of ways of drinking it and I don't like any. I know a few people in Argentina who don't drink mate. So I'm not the only one 🤭
@@cariaus3758 I understand what you're saying, I lived in New York for a decade with the Argentine-Uruguayan community as well, but it's not the same. In ten years I drank mate no more than five times in a city that doesn't give you time to breathe... However, when I returned to Argentina I started drinking mate regularly.
But perhaps you may have already built the negative idea about it in your mind because you may want to like it like someone who likes ice cream, perhaps, because it is not the same, one does not drink mate exclusively because one likes it but rather because of tradition, because it is "an acquired taste". And I think that's the key, understanding what an acquired taste means.
There's a very common phrase here that says "Here we start to be grown up the day we have the need to drink some mates for the first time, alone."
I'm not trying to tell you how things are, just providing my experience to help you understand things from another point of view.
Se me hizo agua la boca cuando comían las carnes es que son exquisitas saludos de Mendoza
You can try the mate with sugar or some herbs. I believe that terere is a better starter for people that are not used to it.

Fun fact… Asado is not actually the national dish of Argentina. It’s Locro. You should go to Tucumán, Salta and Jujuy and try their empanadas, locro and waschalocro. Amazing regional food.
Absolutely! Locro y empanadas Tucumanas are the best! I'm from the US and I agree 😊
Ohh come on, like, please! Everybody knows asado is, like, the most traditional dish in, like, Argentina. Like, we eat locro only once or maybe, like, twice a year. And we make asado, like, all weekends
you must be rich lol @@gabrielmoreyra3365
Locro is only cooked and sold traditionally on May 25th, the day we celebrate the creation of our first government. Asado is by far the most traditional and national dish, everyone joins together with their families on weekends to enjoy a good asado, and for birthdays it's either asado or pizza and empanadas. On christmas and new year it's also Asado.
I know the northerners hate Buenos Aires and all, but don't spread fake news, i'm from Cordoba and i damn sure know Locro is traditional, but not as much as Asado, especially because Locro was originated further north in Peru/Bolivia and by natives living in Jujuy very close to the border.
Oh, this was fun! The food (especially the pizza) looked amazing but you lost me at the lomo and pork, lol. I'm pescatarian but occasionally (once or twice a year) hubby will make ring bologna in tons of onions and yes, I love it! No shame in trying the meat but the steak looked barely cooked, lol. Love your vibe and energy, love Dylan with you, you seem happier and more relaxed.
Not me watching this at the gym and my mouth watering for the whole 30 minutes 😂
I’m from Mendoza but currently living in the US and the food is what I miss most!!
No hay nada mas rico que la comida argentina, se me hizo agua la bocaaaaaaaa
You will love Mendoza we are currently here and have been for a few weeks. It's such a walkable city as was Buenos Aires and a common theme continues here is that Argentina seems to do public parks better than anywhere we have travelled. Parque general San Martin is not to be missed . And there is an abundance of things to explore outside the city. The people are wonderful and another big win is the cube card used in Buenos Aires for public transportation is the same one they use here. You can also use it on the electric tram to the wine region. Cheers
So great to hear!! Can’t wait to visit!
Going to chime in, as well. We're gringos on our fourth trip to the Mendoza area. Actually, visiting here ten years ago drove me to quit my career and go to wine making school. Lujan de Cuyo is a charming town nine miles south of Mendoza. Wineries, charming outdoor restaurants, beautiful views. Farther south is Valley de UCO where the best wines are made. You must get a wine tasting at Catena Zapata, best tasting room in the world 2023.
Is the tram from MDZ to Maipu? I never heard of that. But I have a Sube card.
@BOULDERGEEK yes it it's Metrotranvia de Mendoza goes from the city and stops in Mendoza center with multiple stops on the way with the final stop at Estacion Gutierrez Anden Norte close to Bodega Lopez
That mate was perfect! 10/10. Welcome to Argentina, you are so nice! Enjoy this beautiful country:)

Visit Jujuy!
Welcome to Argentina! You like our gastronomy!! no?? The face they put to eat!! Very good value!!! and thanks for spreading part of our culture!! Greetings from Mar del Plata
In Argentina we have a great tradition of pizza due to Italian immigration. In the 90s, Dominos Pizza and Pizza Hut left the country because they could not compete with the local pizzerias, since the pizza consumed here is very different from the pizza consumed in the USA.
Excellent video with the most iconic foods of Buenos Aires!!! Argentina’s cuisine is the perfect blend of the most delicious Spanish and Italian cuisines, plus the tastiest and most popular dishes of all: Argentina’s grilled meats (beef, pork, chicken, and lamb) and vegetables cooked to your desired point are second to none! You’re always welcome to visit our wonderful country! And thanks for spreading the word through CZcams! Cheers! 🍻

When you went to Guerrin (sorry I don't know how to do the dots) you experienced probably something that I wish more people learned about Argentina.
We are a country that will respond to love shown to us with the same love in kind. We're, despite our irreverent attitude, a country that very much values respect, at an international stage. If you treat us with respect, if you show us that you appreciate our people, our culture, and most importantly our food, then we will appreciate you in turn and show us our best hospitality.
I always tell my international friends, it's a very good place to visit, not just Buenos Aires, but almost everywhere in this country, you'll find a friendly face willing to share a mate with you, as long as the respect is mutual.

"ojo de bife" doesn't mean it's an eye haha, it's just the name of the cut. it's simply meat. one of the best ones depending on whether you like it with more or less fat. the meat at the end is way too raw by the way. I guess carbon is getting expensive nowadays with inflation.

Hi, I am a new subscriber! So appreciate your positive vibes of Argentina! My husband and I were there, last year, and are planning a new trip. What is your best advice for securing and VRBO/Air BnB and for securing tours such as the one you took in Palermo? Love it!
If you want to drink mate and you are drinking with other Argentinian people, I would suggest you ask for it in like the second or third round, and ask to add a little sugar, so it's not that bitter and you can still enjoy it. Eventually if you like it you can add less sugar or start drinking it right from the first pour. I am a born and raised Argentinian and I started drinking it sweet and eventually i stopped, still the first sip you usually spit it out because is too strong
La comida de nuestro país 🇦🇷 es insuperable 😊 🥩🔥🍷
