I love how the enemies, instead of being given names like "zombies" or "mummies", are called things like "cadaverous horror" or "mummified miscreant". It really adds to the '30s matinee thing, and is also, in my opinion, really funny.
I love that Jane's Rosie Rivetter did an upper cut ala her poster while Mike's did just a normal punch.
Loving the colour-coded borders. That's a nice touch, you guys.
Even better that they made them match the colors their characters wear, :)
I kinda suspect they didn't may enough attention to the quest objectives at the end. They were supposed to grab the book off the dead guy THEN kill the army of mummies. Might be easier that way? not sure.
Mike: I could do with a potion!

I am mildly concerned with how fast it took Jane to go from "I found a cat" to "Should I shoot it?" to shooting it.

I see that the Strange Brigade subscribe to the same archaeological principles as Lara Croft: Grab anything not nailed down, smash anything you can't grab, and shoot everything else

I like how it starts with Mike having interest in the game and Jane is like the parent that has no idea and is just participating because of their child.
So Jane's first instinct on seeing a cat is to shoot it.

To be fair, Jane's first instinct after playing Tomb Raider , is to shoot everything.
She did make sure it was a statue... Im sure Jane wont shoot an actual cat... Right? Unless its a Jaguar? Or a Cougar... Nevermind....

ADVISORY: Shooting cats is not normally required to bring them home with you. Please refrain from shooting non-ceramic cats.

I just spent the better part of a year shooting cats and wondering why people looked at me like I am crazy when I told them I wanted to adopt them.

i wish you would have (could have?) shown us exactly what every thing was on that table in the tent:
try to freeze the frame @15:07, just as Jane bends down to swipe the potion bottle, but before the
bottle disappears to get the best view...
The radio is obvious, but what was that tall slate and blue box to its left with all of the buttons on the bottom?
And that thing to the right of the lantern, that looks like a cross between a shaded computer monitor with text on it,
a small shelf with doodads... hmmmn is that a tray of cassette tapes on the right? and...
that thing with the wire, is that an ancient telephone-style radio handset?

I can see this being the footage used in a future documentary cut with the rest of OX as talking heads "Of course, it was at this point we realised that all those years of exploding ducks and golf balls were taking their tole, he'd just lost that killer instinct, we did the best we could, let him have all of the health, but in the end his last great explosion was only a matter of time'...

So what have we learned today? That the ancient cultures of Europe and Africa were pretty much interchangeable and that scorpions can combat-roll and go to heaven.
Elephant-gun is a high-power low-capicity rifle for hunting large targets (like elephants). Essentially old-fashioned anti-material rifles.

Yes the scorpions are different you can use your video game logic the first ones had green stingers. The other were yellow so harder. And I would imagine orange or red will be coming later.

Giant scorpions have inhabited human ruins around the Mediterranean since before there were humans. Sadly they were hunted to extinction by archeologists/adventurers during the early 20th century.

Can anybody tell me if this game is worth getting for single player? I really like the theme and style of this game, but don’t have anyone to play it with.
