Please enjoy this fresh new Sniper Elite 5 gameplay in which Mike single-handedly assaults a fortified Nazi chateau in occupied France, hoping for promotion from Sniper Basic to Sniper Elite. Along the way he is aided by grenades, an anti-tank Panzerfaust launcher and a relationship with stealth so casual neither is sure if they are dating or not.
Sniper Elite 5 comes out on release date 26 May 2022 on Xbox One, Xbox X|S, Xbox Game Pass, PlayStation 4|5 and PC.

Somehow, Mike is better at sniping people with an RPG than with an actual sniper rifle. This is perfectly on-brand for Mike.

I was watching Ian tumble his way through the level and I saw the notification for Oxbox. I thought “Ah! Here comes the sophisticated stealth playthrough that I’ve been…oh it’s Mike. Never mind!” 😂

Love that Andy doubted Mikes ability to kill a target from 300m away with an explosive weapon poorly fit for the situation, as if he hasn’t ever seen him play hitman.

I learned to never doubt Mikes sniping prowse, ever since that Dishonored gameplay, when he sniped a moving target in a far balcony with a single shot of what was essentially a sawed off shotgun
He went past Sniper Elite to Sniper How Did That Even Happen. High Overseer Campbell didn't high oversee that coming.

Mike's hail Mary shot with that RPG is definitely one of his best moments. Right up there with the Hitman explosive rubber duck assassination. It's not Mike's fault he is stealthily challenged - but he overcomes it quite creatively. 😋

That rocket shot is a worthy follow up to the pistol snipe Mike did in Dishonored way back in the day

It can be a bit odd to encounter a new game in a franchise you do enjoy, but isnt such a big fan of that you track everywhere it goes...
I'm on board with this, new sniper elite game, more Mike shooting things and Andy and Jane with fantastic commentary on his actions, perfect if you ask me.

Mike's walking all other the map during the briefing has the same vibes as that archaeology gif/meme where everyone carefully excavates a skull and then there's one hammer-wielding hand that smashes straight through the bone XD (Contribution for the win! :P)

Im 34 years old, almost 30 of being a gamer, and until now I figured out that RPG stood for Rocket propelled granade!!

Oh yeah, they've had those for 20+ years now, ever since Perfect Dark. They were effective, but I hated using them, since they turned your vision all image-ghosty until the radiation wore off.

The Lavender Specter. The psychological impact he has on his enimies cannot be overstated, the supreme conflict and confusion felt when everyone around you is losing their heads (literally) from sniper fire, yet the calming scent of lavender pervades and outmatches the stench of death.
Came expecting nothing, was rewarded with headshots.

Can’t wait to play this - loved Sniper Elite 4 and this appears to be more of the same, which I’m all about!
One thing that comes in handy in these games is all the vehicles have weak spots that usually result in large explosions - the lorry’s have tanks on the bottom on either side.
So he goes in, takes hits, temporarily dies, knows things meta, often just jumps out blasting or makes things go boom... he's not a sniper, he's Deadpool.
Oh, man! I'd love a 3 ways to play of this game. I hope there's a screwdriver or electricity in the game for Jane. XD

Every CZcamsr I have watched play this series has the same issue. They never know where to look for ammo.
It’s Goldeneye for modern consoles. If the barrel is red it goes boom. Pick up a random SMG and you get ammo for whatever Gun of that type you have.

I think it lends a little less to the subject than Hitman - it's less "which intricate but mostly scripted method will you use to kill your target" and more "how will you deal with random and unclear circumstances to shoot your target, ideally in the head" - but I'm still entirely in favour.
Andy is the smooth gentleman Hitman agent for hire, while Mike is the agent of chaos; the Sniper known as "Mike."
Mike's stealth-playing reminds me of Rollo from "Valiant" (2005). The little fat mouse with the match sticks running around screaming, "SABOTAGE!!" =)

The Explosion Kill X-Ray was in Sniper Elite 4, not sure in the others. Also, you could shoot a grenade they have hanging off them in SE4...🤔

Under what circumstance would you as a resistance fighter, approaching your hideout, decide to attempt to sneak up then hide when detected. Seems like a good way to be brained in an unfortunate blue on blue.
