Excellent video! Thanks for posting!!
i added a 2nd battery with the fbc yesterday. i just tried it out for the first time and it appears to be pulling a little less wattage. with one battery i was averaging 400 wats throttle only at 20mph and now it's more like 300. it looks like i can easily get 80 miles throttle only at about 20 to 22 mph and not go under 20% battery. thanks for posting the original video!
So do you like it or no?
@@MrMtr999 the bike is great! i doubt i will ever go 80 miles in 1 sitting but this will allow me to go for a good ride in the morning and evening without having to charge during the day so i can also use it during the day instead of charging for a potential evening ride with now worries. so, yes i'm very happy i did it.
i posted a short video on my channel. very short though because i'm not a youtuber lol
@@toneighty6913 i am glad you did it and liked it! I love the system. I commute daily to and from work and this system proves to be the best to own ebikes.
Congratulations !
@@MrMtr999 after watching your video i checked out the fbc and found the creator had a few videos on it. it seems way safer than just connecting 2 batteries directly in parallel. very cool.
I added a second 52V 20ah battery but it looks a little different, first i didn't flip the bike over i found it easier and less of a risk of damage to the bike. It would be hard to notice i have a 2nd battery
Nice tutotial and awesome mod. Great distance with this dual set up. AR should have this option on purchase and im sure many will pay the extra $$ for the added power and range. Keep us updated on future performance or any issues. Thank you!
So far it is flawless! I m very happy with the performance it delivered exactly what i wanted! Thanks for comments and for watching! 👍
That’s amazing, I am very tempted to give this a try.
Well worth it, let us know if you pull trigger
@@MrMtr999 my only concern is I was planning on taking the back rack off and putting a front rack on so I’m not sure if I have room to mount the battery anywhere
@@RhuleBeans front rack? You can put on front rack too. Why remove rear rack
@@MrMtr999 to make it easier to swing my leg over. I got the high step grey one. But when I do get my bike I’ll see you if it looks like it will work on the front rack.
@@RhuleBeans you strap battery on front rack easily, just make sure no play or wiggle , wiggle or bounces can damage and degrade BMS on battery even expensive battery on Onyx or Surron
Thnx for the video and info MrMtr999. I just received the FBC today. (Step1) lol!!! Try to decide on the battery (looking at a couple) want to keep both batteries 52x20 to avoid any issues. On regards of the wiring, do you know what gauge is the original wire going from stock battery to controller? I will like to get the same gauge for the extension wires. Either 12awg or 14awg? What size you used???
I used 14 awg on everything, i m not sure what size is on the controller wire but there is no effects once you hook up. 14 awg is Reccommended, but 12 won’t hurt. I never cut a single wire it is all extension wire with xt60 plugs no cutting or splicing
@@MrMtr999 Nice... thnx again for your time and info... I'll keep you posted how it goes, probably in the next couple of weeks before Thanksgiving day....
@@flxthecat2735 yeah please let us know, but the FBC is proven for sure i never have any issue with it since using them over year now not on Kepler but other ebikes as well. So done with range anxiety 😊
I just did this on my Himiway cruiser and it worked fine but I have a 48v and a 52v 17.5ah battery. So I use one at a time.
Will you do my Kepler like that if I buy s battery and what size s battery are you using and how much does it cost and how much will you charge me for doing it
Let's say I wouldn't want to run them parallel. Could i simply buy the second battery, charge it and keep it on me to switch out when the first one dies ??
Also what kind of wrap are you using for the battery at the end??
Yes you can swap one by one if you like to carry around with you. That is another choice besides identical parallel and blending method in this video. It is just old tube cut out and wrapped and ziptied to protect against rain and snow. It works great
Does this cause any damage to the bike or controller or anything and do you know if aerial rider is going come out with a spare battery
Blender protects controller. Almost 2 years with blenders none of my ebikes are damaged. When does AR sell battery?
Ariel rider is saying a spare battery will be avail late august for $600.
@@MrMtr999 AR saying late aug on battery for approx $600
@@LouisEvangelista007 i may need new battery 2024? Batteries last about 2 years if you use daily
@@MrMtr999 also do you have to cut anything like cut wires and splice together is that safe to do that with rhe stock thanks
There’s a much easier way to do this without all the wires. You can get off Amazon 2 xt60 male and 1 xt60 female and use that plug to connect the 2 battery to the controller.
Can you upload a video to your channel explaining what you just wrote will be really appreciated. Share the knowledge is powerful my friend. Thank you for watching. How you like Hemingway ? I only like Ariel Rider, Sur Ron and of course Onyx. Take care
Why not just carry a second battery? When the first one dies, plug in the second. That’s what I would do.
I used to do that but the torque and performance and acceleration won’t compare to dual or tri battery setup. With dual or tri setup you know what your furthest distance you travel and don’t have anxiety. Also carrying second battery on backpack sucks, swapping frequently is not the way to ride or commute daily. Thanks for watching. Ask around everybody that does dual or tri setup will never go back to single swap a time again. Thank you again for watching:)
They are always out of stock
