Okay good news you have airflow! I'm waiting on my battery's! already had the FBC quad combiner !I'm thinking of 2 20ah so there would be less charging time for one large 40 ah! Good job dude! Wicked is the best!
20 ah is the max i would put to be 40 total counting the original 20. 20ah is perfect size and WEIGHT, that is crazy if you put large 25, 30 or 40 on it, the weight will ruin your rack and riding balance. Just my thoughts😊
Great installation video except for the rubber wrap thing. The battery combiner u installed is suppose to be water tight. It also has the heat sink on the unit for an important reason. If the heat sink is covered, it can not do it's job properly, and that could result in failure of this unit. I'm not sure, but I thought the companies that make these ebikes design the battery system to work in wet conditions, so wrapping the battery doesn't seem to be required and this rubber wrap could hold in condensation which would promote corrosion at the electrical connections. I've done things in the past many times trying to improve over OEM without understanding the all the negative sides of the application, and had shot myself in the foot trying to make things better. I assumed I knew more than the many smart engineers and designers that worked for hundreds of hours thinking how to make something.
Been using this method 2 years zero issue, so it works for me. There is no requirement for anyone to do this way. It is just personal ride and video. Thank you fir commenting and watching. 👍
Yes, hardly voltage sag with 2 batteries hooked. I know all single battery has voltage sag problem. But the main reason for dual batteries is RANGE, I commute to and from work and a lot of time would like to go fast like 30 ish mph to get away, single battery can not do it because range anxiety and you have to pamper the slower speed. Well we’ll worth on dual battery.
It is 60 v battery, the FBC can handle as long as you don’t go over 72. It is balancer that feed the power balancing them. It is the safest way to add battery.
I really don’t know much about street tires, i heard it makes bike faster like 1 mph or so, but it is too expensive. I think Chao Yang is the best cause it is durable and last long time. I stay with cheap good tire, anyway you have to deal with flat somehow later, the ability to change tire and not expensive is my preference. Good luck and thanks for watching :)
I just ordered the bag you used and the port for the wires does not go all the way through, nor is it large enough for an xt60 connector. How did you make yours work? Duid you have to cut a hole in the bag?

I enjoy your videos ....... I have a Freedom ebike and have adjusted it to what was in the manual ......... The bike JUMPS as soon as I turn the throttle. What setting do I need to adjust to get around this issue?
You should moderate c4 and c5, set c4 to 1 and c5 to 5 try that, but I don’t do that, I love the way it appeared on this video c4 to 3 and c5 to 10, you have to practice “feathering” throttle, start off with pedaling first instead of throttle first. You are riding one of the most powerful “e-bikes “ in the US, we are not Onyx or Sur Ron yet please note but Wicked is one ass powerful ebike, may be Wicked is not for you, may be something less powerful will suit your style of riding like RAD, Magic-cycle or Hemingway, Aventon? I can not answer that. Something in that nature, 28 mph max. Just my humble opinion. Please make sure you are absolutely able to control your ebike before taking out on street or sidewalks, absolute control on the bike is key no room for play on that part to prevent injury and accident. Good luck, and thank you for watching🙏🏻

nice vid! with this mod, what do you think is your total range now, given how you ride it? You think you can go over 60 miles if you are aggressive on throttle? Or if you are conservative riding PAS1 over 80 miles?
Whatever miles Wicked advertised on their website with 20ah, commonsense with 40 ah means you get double on that range. Bear in mind your weight, style of riding and what other-stuff you carry with you will affect the range. There is no correct range as everybody has different body weight and riding style. 2 batteries are always better than 1 for sure .
There’s a range test video that another CZcamsr did. On aggressive throttle with hills you’re looking at 30-35 miles. Without hills I’d guess maybe 3-5 more miles. Weight is also a factor but I’d expect that range is accurate for most people
Definitely not cheap to do this because the bike is $2k and the battery being the most expensive of all their accessories is a hefty $800 making the value of the dual battery Wicked Freedom bike being $2,800. It’s most likely way more than $2.8k because of the cords and connecting cables that you will have to purchase to make this possible, ouch.
I did a tsd less than $2500 on this bike with everything, it is up to you how much you want to spend on the 2nd battery. But agreed nothing is cheap. But again for 40 AH most bike sold in $3800-$4500 range on 60 v. So $2500 is not that bad at all for 40 AH 60v. You are right nothing is cheap
