Watch a full tutorial as a Ford F250 / F350 Truck will have a new double din Pioneer radio installed. This radio includes wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto for smartphone connectivity. We will be installing this in the factory location while retaining the steering wheel volume controls.

In your video you show the crux kit swrfd-60 kit but in your link description you post a link to the swrfd-60b. I ordered the b and it doesn't connect at all. Missing 2 harnesses it looks like. But the straight 60 kit looks correct. Which did you use?

Can you incorporate the stock backup camera with that harness/interface?
That factory usb that plugs behind the glove box, where does the other end go? I know you plug one piece into the adapter which goes to the radio, but does the other piece get shut into the glove box on the vid? I just don’t know where the other end of the factory usb goes
I have the exact same harness just different pioneer radio
So, I have a 2012 king ranch with the factory navigation and back up camera. I hate the interface of the sync system. Can I do a swap similar to this and retain my navigation and back up camera, as well as add CarPlay?
What is the second small connector that is on the factory radio. Is it for the factory amp and how do I know if I have a factory amp.
Does the factory microphone still work with this install?
How do you get the back nut off the sterio in a 2010 super duty F250 ? Sterio does not just slide out

I have a 08 f250. Can't figure out the accessory wire that I tap Into that goes to the amp. I've read where it's blue and you made it seam like its red. Help!!!

It is a multi-meter. Used to check voltage and continuity. In the video he is using it to check continuity of the cut wires.
You didn't say how to remove the antenna cable from the old radio. The text on the video covers up your hand also so I can't really see. My cable doesn't want to come loose. What did you do, just pull really hard? Is there a secret to get it to release which you didn't mention?

Can the same set up/install be done with a JVC KW-M785-BW with the addition of a front camera?
Or the JVC KW-M560-BT without front cam?
Did you have to modify the mount? I noticed it had back ears on it then when it was pushed into the dash they were gone.
The kit I used came with those they just come off the mount is made for other cars too

Yeah, idatalink is just a different brand, but brings a ton of features to your compatible radio.

Where and how did you hook up the factory subwoofer? Was that part of the aftermarket wiring harness kit?
Yes, the factory sub will be retained with the harness used. Just connect the black RCA end to the Sub outputs of the radio.
@@ProvoBeastAudio does the factory sub already have an RCA coming from the truck? My aftermarket radio has subwoofer inputs but I didn't see any factory RCA's. I have a 2010 F250

Any standard double din will work with this setup.

i got the same kit for my truck but the stereo won’t turn on unless i run a jumper wire to the antenna turn on and the red wire any ideas on what it would be?

In 8:12 of your video, the Dash Kit has 4, 2 on each side "side pieces" as you called them near the rear of the unit but in 14:42 of your video those "side pieces" are no longer there. Did you cut them off or did you use a different kit. I need a kit the that doesn't have those rear side pieces and can't seem to find them.
So where does the RCA plug into for the factory sub cause I have two RCAs coming from the pioneer

I am doing a very similar install on a 2008 F350 XLT that came with satellite radio. I am installing an alpine unit and I bought the aftermarket satellite, tuner and antenna. Is there a way for me to reuse the Ford factory satellite antenna on my roofline rather than pulling out the headliner and running a whole new aftermarket antenna. If there’s not an adapter, can I simply splice it? Thanks!

Nope, we didn't retain the awful SYNC system.

That specific radio was marked up by a lot on Amazon for some reason. That radio is now discontinued and there are other cheaper radios with wireless CarPlay now
I just looked these parts up and some aren’t for ford like the usb cable.
They still work great.

what about Sat Radio antenna?
There are adapters available, but depends on the radio you are installing for what adapters will work. Most major brands, this adapter kit will work for you: amzn.to/3lmqWux
Just hooked it up and the radio screen will.not light up or do anything. Have power to the brain box. But nothing to the scree of radio.

My +12v acc isn’t getting power but constant is
I had this same issue. There is a +12 volt switched source under the dash near the emergency brake pedal. It is white with a blue stripe.

That head unit for $600-$800 is insane. The quality isnt anything special and its pretty ugly ui.

@@sleeepi3 the tesla screen is 500 on the low end to 1400 on the high end but the high end versions have beautiful user interface system and perfect screen quality.
