Ratchet & Clank - Did Talwyn Know Anything About Angela Cross?

- In the Ratchet & Clank comics, Artemis Zogg brings up Max Apogee's disappearance, telling Talwyn that he left her behind just to save another Lombax while also escaping to another dimension.
Did Talwyn know about Angela? Did she have any idea that Apogee knew another Lombax? Ratchet found out about Angela and Apogee's theorised whereabouts over the radio, did Talwyn know?

One more thing, Talwyn was familiar with Lombax language and had knowledge about them. Perhaps her father had taught her a few tips and tricks. With that, would Apogee still hide Angela from her, never mentioning her, assuming he was working with her in advance? If so why? Why keep it secret? I'm thinking she just never had knowledge of Angela Cross, meaning her father did pretty much escape last minute under difficult circumstances, no time to introduce Angela to Talwyn.
Hey VTNVIVI I know this isn't really related to RATchet and clank, but I actually heard something that the spyro remastered trilogy for PS4 was meant to get announced last week, but there was too much hype surrounding the announcement, so apparently it's been delayed until today or so I heard. So we'll have to wait and see do you agree?

Perfect idea for a potential sequel to into the nexus is to have Ratchet and Clank go on an adventure with Talwyn in search of Max apogee and Angela.

ZAD you mean into the nexus mate. Full frontal assault, all 4 one and into the nexus are the canon continuations of the series after a crack in time.
I know you most likely mean retconning those and making another separate continuation but i don't see the big deal about them staying canon and continuing from there.

I honestly think that insomniac didn't want to confuse everybody after the retcon in tools of destruction, so so they only mention angela Cross passing by so that it doesnt become a chaos

When I played the game "Going Commando" for the first time I doubted if Angela was of the same species as Ratchet because I expected that the female Lombax had the same size of ears and had a tail, the difference would be that they had feminine features like the thinnest face. It was in "A crack in time" when they told the truth on the radio so I assumed that Ratchet had the same expectation as me, both he and me never saw someone of the same species so maybe Ratchet didn't mention Angela to Talwyn because he never knew that she was a Lombax.
Or maybe Ratchet and Max Apogee are not very communicative with Talwyn from the people they know, it may not be too important to tell her.
In case Talwyn doesn't know about Angela, it is very rare that Max Apogee hasn't already told her, in her photo as a girl it was seen that her father showed her what he did as a explorer, it is strange that she doesn't know about the feminine lombax
In case Talwyn does know about Angela, it would only be enough If Ratchet or Talwyn mention Angela to start talking about what they know about her. It would be great to see that conversation in a comic or a cutscene
For the radio broadcast, I personally take some of the things mentioned as a simple theory like female Lombaxes not having tails. They could have tails, just Angela maybe lost hers in a crazy accident. Thanks for sharing.

@@prich0382 Confirmed she is a Lombax? Yes by TJ Fixman former writer. As for no tails, it's possible it was an assumption on the radio host's part, but many take that as confirmation.
My personal favourite headcanon is that lombaxes just have varying subspecies like cat breeds IRL, hence the anatomical diffs between Ratchet and Angela (the height diff can just be an individual thing though, like how humans can be varying heights).
Another one I found recently, in some fan-work, female lombaxes just have shorter tails, hence why you can't see Angela's - she can fit it inside her suit a lot easier than Ratchet (cough cough Deadlocked).
TBH though Insomniac could fix this whole Angela mess in like one sentence.
I always had a headcanon that Angela is a half-lombax... I think that would solve many (tail related) fan problems.
Or she lost it during an accident at Megacorp.

If Max Apogee left this dimension to save a Lombax, maybe this plot point will come back in Rift Apart. Dr. Nefarious has the Dimensionator so there's a chance we could find Max will hopping between rifts. I also wonder if Tachyon could return in Rift Apart. I think I saw a Cragmite-looking creature in the demo.

As for Angela and Max , I think those two will be always a mystery , the best thing we can get from them is the references, nothing more . Insomniac might intended to keep this part of the lore mysterious .

It's a shame we still haven't seen anything on Angela. I always wanted a new adventure focusing on these two, the last two lombaxes teaming together for adventure sounds great. At least the longer it takes for her to appear the better she'll end up looking graphically lol.

I personally feel like angelas existence was an oversight, more so to simply retcon her without being blantant about the fact it didnt happen

Yeah, no. Max studied Lombaxes, so once he heard Angela- a Lombax -was in danger, he probably went swooping in to save her because she was a Lombax and that's it. Why would he tell Talwyn "oh hey, gotta go save a Lombax named Angela Cross." That doesn't make much sense, does it?
What I mean by last minute is he didn't have time to tell Talwyn, that's what I'd imagine.
VTNVIVI Perhaps. But Talwyn isn't the only one who is also familiar with the Lombax language or history, which was one of your big points in the comments. Qwark also knew the Lombax language and Croid knew the species and what they liked(i.e. Ratchet liked the food he gave him).

Apparently Angela was spotted escaping with Apogee's ship. Was Apogee with her at that instant we are not sure.
I imagine this would be brought up in my universe. Ratchet tells us about knowing her (Angela) and Alister Azimuth. He explains that the last he herd of Angela was that Tachyon was targeting her and she fled to the Lombax dimension with Max Apogee's help. Alister was killed while stabbelizing the Great Clock at the end of A Crack in Time. Ratchet has more trouble with his death though since he connected more to Alister.
