- Here is the full story of Captain Copernicus Leslie Qwark. Throughout the series, Qwark has had quite some character development. He went from a more villainous type of character to befriending the heroes of the galaxy Ratchet & Clank. Although he’s still not the wisest, he’s grown a heart for our duo. He’s not considered an anti-hero really, he just fails at portraying a true hero.

Qwark is one of my favorite characters, I know tons of people hate him but personally I find him to be hilarious and ridiculous. He is like the perfect parody of a superhero.
I want Ratchet to jump up to his face and punch him.
I absolutely love Qwark and would never want anything bad happen to him in the games, he's one of my favourite childhood characters and I love him. I hope they don't make him side with the bad guys again for fame but be with ratchet kind of what Crack in Time did.

Quark can take over a company who basically commands a entire galaxy, survived in deep space for 6 days, flushed himself out of the prison.
He can be a faliure as a hero but he could be a super villain
If there's anything I really like about quark, is that he's so stupid and annoying, yet he's a weirdly deep and multi-layered character. I can't really think of another case where a character is both!!!
In the first game when Qwark worked for Drek, he did that to get fame and money, but what if he planned to backstab Drek and take the credit for stopping him. It sounds like something he would do.

About half way listening to the video I was half expecting Qwark to actually show up, knock you out and then tell the "real" lore and story with crayon drawn pictures of his so called heroic deeds.

I had no idea Qwark was establised as a cowardly hero since I never played the first 2 games. I found him cool during Ratchet and Clank 3.
My second Favourite caracter in The series, only Dr Nefarious being number 1
Nefy's VA is marvellous.

despite his cowardiness Qwark is actually pretty strong.
I have a feeling its probably due to the fact he must have been born strong. This made him naturally overconfident.
However, when he experianced danger for the first time this must have turned him into extreme coward. He still hid under persona of confidence....
I'd say this is pretty accurate . . . Besides calling me stupid I'm NOT stupid also Im still the greatest superhero ever. Oh yeah don't show ratchet or clank ok? I think im getting on their good side now
Going Commandos end goal is very similar to Syndromes from The Incredibles.

Quark may not be smart but he is pretty good at coming up with plans. Like every plan he comes up with works almost flawlessly apart from the poibts where clank is needed they work and he picked a lock from neferious with his anttena how do you even.
Quark has an int score of 6 but a wisdom score of 20.
One thing i forgot to mention about Nefarious in your Nefarious video because of his orgin of being bullied by Qwark and getting turned into robot. Words of The Joker "all it takes is one bad day"

He’s basically the great pretender character that takes advantage of comedic serendipity.
Akin to a certain character by the name of Hercule/mr. Satan from DB with his own brand of karmic justice imposed on him for his lying mouth.

in a crank in time qwark was fighting against nefarious enforcers while ratchet fought the doctor. he was fighting them while you float past him towards the boss fight on the platform

He appeared in all the games. In quest for booty was a statue of him at the bottom of the lake were you can swim on hoolafar island. It is a nice reminder of Qwark. It is the same statue as the statue in metropolis Kerwan in Tools of destruction (best game of all ;)

I think if the Amoeboid attack in Ratchet and Clank 1 was Nefarious doing, it would be known since everyone knew Nefarious invaded other planets at the start at the 3rd game
God, the more I realize how amazing the entire storyline is for the Ratchet & Clank series, the more disappointed I become in the reboot. I seriously hope that the reboot is NOT canon and the story will continue on after Into The Nexus.

Sorry for the revive. Well... it was Qwark's retelling. The guy always embellishes things to near nonsense. I think it was intentional too.
Maybe the movie too since maybe entire video game both a tie in and a jab.
Even in universe stated that the movie exists to cash in on Ratchet’s game.
Don't worry about that, the newest game Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart takes place after Into the Nexus.
A month ago I replayed RC UYA on PS2, when you go to control room in Starship Phoenix and listen to all NPC interaction at certain point you will hear Qwark saying that his mother will be proud of him for doing something, I can't remember exactly about what. It seems contrary to lore in Size Matters where Qwark is orphan. Maybe Im just missing some part of lore.
Quark is pretty villainous in my opinion... He’s willing to let innocent people die for fame, fortune, and respect... Heroes are selfless not self centered.
He wants to be a hero, but goes at it completely wrong.

I always thought Qwark was a substitute teacher in R&C3, shows I need to play it again. Got to say this video was good, reminded more of his character since I jump from game to game in odd orders now. And to not get annoyed by his character sometimes, laugh at jokes on other occasions.
Qwark is annoying, I wish Ratchet could punch him one day.

That's actually because the posters were there in the demo and the pre-rendered cutscene was shot while the posters were still there, but Insomniac forgot to remove it. It's only an error.

He might a human who has a three fingers like his species. Maybe humanoid characters have 3 fingers. In fact, in Up Your Arsenal when he was acting like a monkey, he didn't have the antenna on the top of his head.

Hi, this is Copernicus Leslie Qwark from the kid-friendly seires "Ratchet & Clank" AND I HAVE A F****ING VIBRATOR.
He definitely does not consider them friends. He still has every intention to throw you under the bus if the situation arises. That is not what friends do. That would be considered an associate.
if we do get another ratchet and clank remake a new pre order bonus would be awesome to have like extra weapons and new armor.
No pre-order bonuses especially for weapons. I want all the content present in the game already. As for armor as a pre-order? No problem as long as it doesn't have the best stats.

I like how the reimagined Ratchet and Clank game has been silently dismissed as non-canon immediately with Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart on PS5. That game more or less acts like the PS4 game never happened, which is fine by me. In the parade at the beginning of the PS5 game, Quark makes a statement about Ratchet's beginning before meeting Clank that makes more sense if the the original PS2 game is canon, but little sense if the PS4 "Reboot" (which was a failed movie-tie-in game, which was not meant as a reboot, even though they kept a line in from the Plumber that contradicts this by saying "See you in the next reboot") is canon.
What I still don't get is... how did Qwark defeat Nefarious the first time? I have no idea if Qwark used to be a legit hero, or if it all was faked.

Why does ratchet’s head get flatter each game
Well I did have that thought, but when I heard it was a sequel to Size Matters I kinda understand that since Ratchet was kind of loosing his intelligence after size matters it would make sense because Ratchet is a little stupid

Haaa Qwark.. His supersize ego, his funny lines, .... Clearly one of the best characters in the series.
I especially love the way he was used in the original trilogy. The way he went from respected hero to treatorous vilain, then to redemption in RC3. His arc was really interesting and I like how they ended up making him a likable ally despite all his flaws.
I couldn't say the same about the Future era, though. They kept putting him in just to have him there, but he served almost NO purpose. His personnality wasn't as fleshed out and he wasn't as funny as he used to be. All 4 One was the only game that nailed it for me. I guess there are so many points the PS2 era just can't be surpassed. :(

Size Matters was released on PSP and PS2. Game looked good for its time at least on PSP in my opinion.

I like Qwark as a dum funny ridiculous character who think he is a hero. I didt like him in 1 and 2. He was more Hilarious in tools of destruction and size matters and Nexus. In sercet agent clank i like it that i could play as him. It was funny.
In 3, and a crack in time wear his best roles. in All for one and Q forces it was a littel fun to play as him not that mots. And his role did get funnier.
I have to say rebuut Qwark was more a nice guy in bold the movie and game. So i like that Qwark more then the ps2 Qwark.
But wichtout him? Ratchet and clank would have not funny moments. Its not that he is need it in mots games but yea its fun when he is there.

Wait, Qwark lost reelection? I thought he was removed from office. How long was he the president? It was only during the comic and throughout All 4 One, which supposedly only took something over a year on the timeline at most. Galactic presidents have such a short term?
It's quite a shame Qwark was Galactic president so shortly. The writers could have gotten so much more story, character development and humor from such situation. Instead they basically used that plot point only for one joke in the opening of All 4 One where Qwark was sleeping on the job and that was it. Throughout the whole game, his presidential status was hardly even mentioned and didn't mean anything for how the events unfolded. When you play as Qwark in A4O, you are supposedly playing as the president of the whole Galaxy. Yet Qwark was still his normal superhero wannabe. This new situation for him wasn't even used.
I guess his presidential status had more impact on the events of the comic. That's true. But since it was just a comic a d wasn't in the game, many people might have missed it.
In any case, this situation was too short for its great potential.
