Deer hunting in D7 Ca [rifle hunting 2023]

- Last weekend of September / first weekend of October. Rifle season is in its 3rd weekend. We actually already had some rain a couple of times and this weekend it was raining / snowing.
Not a lot, but something is better than nothing.
This is also a long weekend for me which is super rare in the fall
Got to hunt with a friend, we did a mix of road hunting out of a Jeep while it was raining but also hiked in.
Saw some bucks, lots of does and babies due to the rain so all this is very promising.
I also tell you about what happened to my dog in the summer and how you can prevent it.

Hi! 👋🏼. Thank you so much! Misha has completely recovered 😊 I'm so happy. She was back to normal by December, and just 2 months ago we hiked 10-14 miles a day, for a few days, and she was fine.

Found your site and been watching for a little while. : ) Noticed you live Oakhurst, I've been going up into that area since I was a kid, hunting, fishing and dirtbike riding. A few years ago I bought a place in Arnold. Know the area real well, got an area where I see animals. Got a nice buck and bear last year and another bear two year ago. Never wrote anyone on youtube before, we can meet up in Sonora sometime if you want. And... on that bear you helped skin... you forgot the tenderloins! The meat is excellent!

The bear video ... I don't think we forgot anything, we pretty much left the bones with a little meat on, may e the video didn't show the tenderloins lol. But they were most definitely taken 😊
I got the heart out, they were going to leave it 😳
We did leave the liver because the ladies thought it's toxic but since then I've learned form an other hunter that they're not, they're safe to eat as long as they're cooked right.

As beautiful as CA is, I could never live there due to its laws, politics, cost of living and taxes. Try TX, TN, AR, etc. Great hunting and beautiful as well.

I agree with you to a certain extent. Yes the control and politics and other things are insane. But when I'm out there, barely an hour from my house, the mountains, forests, abundance of lakes, rivers and elevation change up to 9000 ft easily accessible, I feel like it's a trade off for me 😊
@@Huntress308 Somewhat like I prefer the .30-06 over the .308. However, the difference between the two are far less than the differences between what exists in CA versus red states. Quality of life issues for certain. Szia, minden jót neked és Mishának.

My written Hungarian is not good at all. I never did get the hang of having four variations of a's, e's, i's, o's and u's! Too many accent marks in Hungarian.
