I've seen a lot of people saying Gabby is a failed footballer. Once you get to that level that’s when the hard training stops. And by the sounds of what others have said about him, this is most likely what’s happened

Thats still means putting in like 2-3 hours of training everyday besides matches, traveling, and holidays. Failure is making the wrong decisions at the wrong time and right time. Enough of those decisions led to administration. And that is a failure. On a serious note, I remember Roy Keane said once about when he was part of the management setup that some of the Aston Villa players attitude and professionalism were a joke. It didn’t work out for Jordan in the end but 10 years owning your dream club is some going, especially being the youngest owner of a team at the time. Gabby spent 10 years in the prem and ended it with being relegated to the championship…. So if Jordan is a failed premier league owner after 10 seasons, does that make gabby a failed premier league player 🤔
I'd say he's a bigger failure than Jordan, who may have had a bit ofa grim ending at Palace but he ran on emotion then. Hemorrhaging money did not make him want to abandon the club, he wanted to fix the problems and it ended a bit sour, but he achieved premier league status with Palace and that will never be superceded by any of Gabby's achievements

Comments like "you'd think he played the way he's talking" are so ludicrous. So what just because you've not played professional football you can't have an opinion on something? Ridiculous point of view, footballers aren't pundits because of their amazing analysis and ability to spot things out that others can't, purely get hired for these companies off their name and the fact they were a professional player and therefore get clicks. This elitist mentality that some of them have towards people who weren't professionals but actually do understand the game and have structured opinions is so tiring. Some of these ex pro's need to get a grip and realise why they were hired (not all but there are a good few). There are ex pro pundits that I think are very good at what they do it's just comments like this that are so frustrating to see

Both Gabby and Simon are brilliant pundits on talk sport. Both very engaging with interesting perspectives whilst so diverse from each other. The other great TS addition is Jack Wilshere who hopefully becomes a mainstay when eventually hangs up his boots.
Yikes! Gabby, unfortunately, can’t make his point without coming across as petulant and childish as the action Maguire took when he scored against Albania.
There is an element of being in the moment and losing your inhibitions which likely occurred with Maguire, however, as a result he’ll need to accept the backlash. I’m a United fan and I want to see Maguire do well but he reacted poorly to scoring for England and as such there will be pressure on him to ensure his performances for United are of the highest calibre or else fans and fans of other clubs are going to get on his back. Not a position you want to be in given the perilous position both he and United are in just now.
