    I got in a fight in my local arena. Guy broke several small bones in his hand trying to punch through the visor. After I wiped the prints off, the visor showed no signs of damage.

    I’ve had the anti-fog visor for almost two years, and it’s just as good as an Oakley that I had before it. I’ve been hit in this visor with pucks and a few sticks, and it suffered no scratching. I would recommend these to anyone that wants a good visor.

    I just picked up the Ronin hybrid mask/cage combo from Hockey Ninja. I used it in my beer league game last night and really liked it. No fogging issue whatsoever. I've used visors, fish bowls, and other hybrids. So far this is my favorite mask. Combined with a Bauer Hyperlite helmet, I have an ultra light weight, full protection set up. I'm glad I came across this review since I had never heard of the mask previously.

    Thanks for the review. I just picked up one and after 1 coaching session and putting it in my bag I already have several deep gages in mine. Not sure if I got a lemon or if I'm just too rough on my helmet when it's not on my head. Wish I could post up a picture in the comments.

    Hockey Ninja is legit; top brand quality (or better) at bargain brand prices.
    I’ve used everything from Oakley to Tron, even some that aren’t around anymore (Zephyr anyone?) and my Hockey Ninja has equaled or outperformed them all. The only one I had a complaint about was the full face shield, the replaceable visor and subsequent hardware adds some bulk versus a Bauer Concept 3. Not an issue for most but I tried it jumping from an aviator half shield, too much. Also, they aren’t that new a company BTW, be making quality shields since at least 2012 (grabbed my first in 2014).

      @@jdsoren I recently got the boulder and have used the bauer hybrid for a while now. I like the boulder but the visor isn't as large so you lose some vision compared to the bauer, it does breathe better though. I'm interested in trying this brand out as well.

  • @AL4140
    @AL4140 Před 4 lety

    I’m just curious why you assume that the quality is better in Europe?
    I’m not arguing the point but if a company does it’s Quality Inspections properly and have someone present during a manufacturing run, it’s irrelevant “where” something is made.
    When you think about it, Asia has been manufacturing pretty much everything for a long time so they are probably the best place to get anything made... as long as you make sure the design and materials are used properly.
    FYI, I used to work for a bicycle manufacturer (BMX freestyle) that got its stuff made in Taiwan and our company had the reputation for being some of the strongest out there.

    • @AL4140
      @AL4140 Před 4 lety

      If you like to support a company that produces in your county, I’m totally fine with that. I’m just questioning the point that it will be better because of where it’s made.

    • @StillAliveAndKicking_

      It doesn’t. Many Japanese products are better built than European ones, especially cars. Chinese goods can be very high quality. Bauer sticks are made in China, for example.
