Imagine it screaming constantly while going up a hill... It is horrifying.
my roommate did a straight pipe with his Subie Legacy non turbo. comes with CVT. Sounds atrocious.
Neighbor has an elantra with a cvt and loud exhaust. Sounds like a lawn mower because the tuning of the transmission keeps the engine at about the same rpms under acceleration. People are whack, man.

the caddy is a prime example of why you always keep a resonator on a v6, doesn't matter if it's a VQ, 2GR or J series. they just rasp hella.
Not just a resonator, with any boxer or V type engine you want to equalize both cylinder banks with a crossover (X or H pipe), with resonators directly behind if you want duals. Makes all the difference.
J series has a really good note but the rest youre right. They all sound like trumpets or just boring sounds.

As a 2GR owner... yeh. I ended up putting magnaflow 5x5x14 muffler in the center of the car and it tamed all the rasp but still let's the V6 sing. I agree they need some type of something somewhere in the system. Full straight on a nib turbo always sounds clapped

@@samlung2724I used to work at the auto auctions transporting cars and there was a Prius that was straight piped that I had to deliver. When it started it was in electric mode and quiet but then I floored it to pass somebody and it sounded like a weed eater. Super unexpected

One thing I notice is that a lot of people drive with low tire pressures, probably the same people that drive with their high beams on all the time
Usually the tpms sensor is just dead or gone due to aftermarket rims

cadillac, dodge, and Honda can produce by far the potentially worse sounding v6's ever depending on what type of setup the driver uses..that cadillac was probably one of the first v6's aside from other v6 chargers that sound similar or worse than 4 bangers

Most the Mercedes I have driven(never an AMG) always have the temperature needle resting above center. It is normal from my experience, I had read before that it was because of a higher accuracy in their sensors but that could be BS.
That’s how most Mercedes are, my moms is like that as well.
Clearly you’ve never owned a Mercedes, normal operating temps are between 80-100 Celsius. German cars are different…took me by surprise when I first bought my 2014 C-class.
Mercedes needle are alway above a bit over the half, it’s normal and I own tons of these Mercedes. If you haven’t driven one, you wouldn’t know…smh!

@@ak14619 the Ford V10s are so large that they don't have the ability to rev high. Most new *performance oriented* V10s rev in the 7-9k RPM range, producing a beautiful sound. If someone made a high-rpm triton V10 im sure it would sound great 😂

Wtf are you talking about. Tire pressure does not equate to wear on a car. Neither would tint on windows?? And minor body damage on fenders does not effect the wear of the drivetrain and suspension

Lol i had a leak in my midpipe on my GT86, took the mid pipe off for repairs and ran the car basically no catback for a week. It was the funnest week ever haha also the UEL headers on boxer engine is just nuts
Man couple years ago they stole my cats from my obs chevy 5.7 I drove it straight pipe was funny because pretty much was headers only and the truck sounded like nascar engine stupid loud and nice rumble. I would set the car alarms in the morning lol

These are not all straightpipes, a true straight pipe is no cats, no mufflers, and no resonators after the headers or turbo, my legacy gt could be considered straight piped even if I left the pre turbo cat on.
