I'm a car guy 1000% but I got rear ended by somebody doing this shit at a car meet and lost my car that I'd been building for 4 years. I'm glad I didn't get injured but most people in the car community don't condone this kind of driving, or takeovers. Now I've hit those kind of speeds at 2am on an empty highway, sure, but never around a bunch of traffic. Seems insane tbh lol

Say for the people that climbs skyscrapers for fun, why dont they have protective gear? Safety rope? Why dont they have a parachute? Because they want the idea that if they fail they die.

When he said that shit about them paying more attention to the road than anyone else, I 100% agree. I generally drive pretty fast on my way to work, I don't go crazy swimming through traffic because I really don't trust the other drivers on the road, but 90-110mph is very common. The worst part is I'm just trying to cruise, listen to music, and get where I'm going... and you got these complete idiots on the road just oblivious to the world around them. Camping out in the passing lane (LEFT LANE LOSERS), switching to the passing lane randomly without accelerating when I'm clearly just about to pass them, and worst of all not using blinkers. I'm sure the guys in the video know exactly how important blinkers can be, especially when they're doing their thing in a group... shit I use my blinkers pulling into my neighborhood when there's not a single other car on the road. Basically I wrote all this to say that the most dangerous part of what they are doing is the lack of skill, and lack of paying attention, by all the other drivers on the road. People seriously just roll down the street in their own universe without any semblance of awareness for the other people on it.

I saw the video on my TV and I want to comment that they're absolutely right. the more you drive recklessly the more people's behaviors become predictable. It's always expected somebody's going to break check you someone's going to cut your lane off on purpose. But while driving the person doing Reckless is way more aware than the people that are being passed. Is easy to gain a tolerance to speeding. Vehicles that you think are fast are no longer fast and there's always more to be craves. That's why motorcycles keep getting faster. Also knowing the capabilities of your vehicle is everything Moe's drivers are used to their vehicles being out of control and know how to handle it. It's no different than stunt drivers and professional racetrack drivers. Last thing I want to add usually in a couple seconds before an accident survival mode takes over and the body reacts to minimize as much damage as possible. Really love this vehicle you should check out the sports bike scenes

The handling, for example, is WAY worse(much higher center of gravity, worse tires, more weight) and you can't really do many abrupt moves.

I had a friend that drives like that, and would always think that he is better than everyone.
One day he went to have fun with 2 other friends, he crashed the owners car who was 22 and in the passenger seat, the 22 year old died.
The other guy that was sitting in the back got into a 6 month coma, and years of recuperation not being able to walk and talk.
He, the driver, just had a minor shoulder injury.
So yeah thats how this ends.

Absolutely how this ends. I know people who used to drive like this and never on main roads 20 years ago. A friend of a friend was seriously injured. Others I know died being ejected from the vehicle. I'm 2 years almost into recovering from a tree falling on the Jeep I was driving, not speeding or anything. Just a freak accident but had I not responded and hit the gas I would be dead. Being a knowledgeable and well trained driver who can operate under stress is important but these dudes are dangerous. We have motorcycles, dirt bikes and cars who drive like this in Philly and I've seen a few guys nearly hit my vehicles, death wobble braking to stop and plenty of serious wrecks.
You're spot on. I know drivers typically walk away but passengers, or innocent driver's hit don't. Even if you're lucky enough to survive that recovery can be years or a lifetime of pain. I have a close friend who was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident. A lady on her phone pulled out in front of him. His entire left leg is rods, pins and screws, plate in his head, and he needed to learn to walk again. We both joke every time it's going to rain we get out of chairs like 80 year old men. Lol. But seriously those injuries are for life on many cases. Learn to drive and be a good evasive driver but don't do sht like this on streets. Race on closed roads or tracks. I'm not opposed to guys racing on closed streets but too many guys do this stuff and it's a 1000th of a second for things to go wrong and at 120+ mph when they go wrong, they go VERY wrong.

And for what? the one dude said he did it to avoid tickets cuz he couldn't afford them. If you believe his story about being singled out even though keeping up with traffic, yea, sure, it's unfortunate. Don't drive that car as much, or buy a new one that might not get singled out so much. Much better alternative than to just start running from cops. Because it's gonna cost a lot more when they need to pay legal fees, and forced to pay for another person's injuries/death. There is no excuse for driving like that. Not all areas have a track either. And I bet some of those places have less trouble with these kinds of drivers.

There is actually a positive correlation between the number of race track being shut down near nyc due to noise complaints and the number of ppl doing street racing

  • @bruhhhhmoment4848

I think many of these issue not only this but with drag racing etc is the expansion of cities, as they have expanded the once race track where these people could go a drive fast are getting closed as the suburbs expand and people complain about the noises from there and the space being needed for houses

People often complain about that there's no tracks but especially in New York there are dozens of raceways abandoned raceways that people can restore.
Hell all over America or abandoned race tracks that can be restored but the thing is the money everybody says don't close down these racetracks but nobody wants to do the work

He's 100% correct when he said when your going that fast, you are paying more attention to the road than anyone else. That is also the biggest issue when your going that fast because when your doing 150 and coming up on someone, they can be off in there own little world while driving so they aren't paying much attention. At that speed when someone looks in their mirror to move over they may look and your not there so they space out for a second before they start to move over and by the time they move, you were coming up so fast that your now right there. These guys probably already know how to judge this way before a situation like that would ever happen though. Car guys know what kind of drivers don't use their turn signals lol. Like he said, from the person on the outside looking in, it's reckless driving, but from the drivers perspective, they are actually being way more cautious of their surroundings than anyone else on the road. Most people when they drive are just looking at what's in front of them. Anyone who has ever raced anything knows that the faster you are going, the farther ahead you are looking because you want to be able to adjust for whatever obstacles may be ahead of you. If your just paying attention to what is rightin front of you, at those higher speeds, you won't have enough time to react. I in no way, shape, or form think anyone should ever be driving like this but if you know what your doing, and all these guys clearly do, just remember to do it for yourselves. Don't let the content feed in to it where your doing it for the views. You are all some very talented drivers, stay safe.

Love your content bro and for me, this was one of the best video you posted. Simply because I could related to these guys at least to some small degree. I ain't on some police chase thing or swerving through the traffic, but absolutely love the adrenaline rush from high speeds on highways or side roads, where it's possible, or just taking those corners smooth af... on those moments, every issue, every bullshit stuff that I might have on mind goes out of the window and I'm in my 120% focus mode, which is hella relaxing and peaceful. Buying my own first car was the best decision I've ever made.
