This is the first time I’ve heard of Maven. I really like that geofence feature. I would love to do that for myself so I have a little safety net when flying. Tech is awesome these days
This is the app that I went to when no one else was supporting the Mavic Air 2, at the time. It’s really great to see Maven getting some well deserved attention. I’ve been paying attention to updates for well over a year and it’s obvious that hard work is being put in. The features, the drone compatibility, keeps growing and growing. Looking forward to seeing what Michele Vagnetti and Maven’s future brings us!

It is a great app and the creator Michele Vagnetti keeps adding features.
One I'd really like to see is a Pano camera mode similar to Litchi's auto and custom pano and stitcher.
Another needed feature, is rather than having to "follow" the pilot ( following phone attached to the controller), is an option to instead follow a 2nd device (phone) that can be carried by the subject. That would allow the pilot to view and make flight adjustments while filming while not having to be in the video.
I am 79 years old this looks perfect for me well done on your Channel keep up the good work. Maven looks the way forward.
First time I have heard of Marvin. I like the part of cable either point to point or controller to a point. I also like the idea of setting a controlled area for my grandkids. Going to have investigate more.
I got Litchi based on your reviews, am considering getting Rainbow for the Hyperlapse functionality, but the Maven app also looks VERY interesting; the geofencing could really come in handy for letting others use my drone safely!

Looks like Litchi has a competition now. I was preparing to buy Litchi for my mini 2 but now I would like to wait and see more about Maven before going for either one.

Maven looks to have some interesting features. Much nicer than Litchi and it looks as powerful as Dronelink, but perhaps a bit more oriented to on the fly use rather than pre-planned as Dronelink tends to be. I look forward to trying it out hopefully!!
Maven. Love the geofencing feature. Can this be used in conjunction with tracking to keep the Mini 2 in a safe zone to prevent collisions with trees etc?

The MAVEN app looks like a really cool way to get more out of your drone. I use a Mini 2 on some of our Camping and Adventure vids and had never heard of the Maven app till now in your video. It is something I really should check out more. The geo fence would be great for letting my other half learn to fly ( if she learned how it would make my job a bit earier when making vids ) Thank for sharing this video about it. Maven looks cool! When you set elevation on a wp, is that always height over ground? For example if you set to follow the rise of a hill.
Thanks for all the great information. Question: My assumption is using the app does not impact battery life on the drone, but can you confirm? Also, you briefly mentioned height compensation… does that mean as I hike or drive the drone will stay… say 40 feet above ground even though I’m climbing in elevation? If so that’s a reason to get the app all by itself. Thanks for bringing Maven to my attention. Looks to be a great value for the functionality provided. Thank you. Owen

Maybe a better Q is:. Is there anything picture types or video modes on DJI Fly app missing in Maven? Like panorama or time lapse?

When setting up a waypoint, you can have the drone point at the next, current or previous waypoint, point at a POI or “Manual Selection”. I have not been able to make the manual selection work. Any suggestions?

and where have you downloaded the app for android
I have Litchi but when using waypoints (the only reason I bought Litchi) the ACTIONS don't work so if I start video on take off I cant stop video at a wp. Take a pic then start video again. I have to run it twice ( well 3 actually as the 1st with gimble facing front to check for obstructions) then pass 2 for video and pass 3 for images. Cant think of a better way can you?

Maven, Thanks for the informative video. I like the idea or the virtual cabe, reminds me when watching a football game and the cameras are on a wire going across the field. I have several clients that have utility trailer dealerships and the virtual cable mode would work very well.

Looks like a nice app. I currently own Litchi after many years of ownership across various different DJI drones, but this app definitely looks more polished, particularly the tracking features, which Litchi seems to currently have issues with. One thing I am finding though, despite what app is used, is that the Waypoint mode seems to demonstrate jerky gimbal movement. I've noticed this seems to be a Mini 2 issue, as my previous drones (Mavic 1/2) were very smooth. Limitation of the Drone/SDK perhaps?

Fantastic video and very unique app does the app also do way point high adjustments so you can set and different highs and if so whats the transition between them does the drone jump or is it a smooth desend between the points

Maven has really nice features! I only would like to know if there is a possibility to take photos on a specific interfall or distance to be able to capture a 3D terrain model etc.

You can also define max and a Minimum altitude for best security with your granddaughter 😀

I’m new to drone flight, having logged only about 5 hours. Maven is my first exposure to fuller features than found in DJI Fly. How would this app be for a new flyer? I do think the geo-fence feature would be an excellent learning tool.

Maven. Thanks for the information. I'm very interested in the Cable Cam, and the altitude compensation during tracking. I'm also very interested in the orbit while tracking the controller. Litchi doesn't do anything like that, and thats a huge win for Maven if it works well.

Maven looks like a great app. I have been using Litchi for waypoints, it is a good app. I wish I could adjust the yaw speed and smoothness like you can with the fly app. Does Maven have this capability?
