If i buy a new gauge cluster and install it, will the mileage get transferred by the ECU or do i need to have dealership do the install and program the saved car mileage and information to the new gauge cluster ?
The ECU does not have mileage information stored, and the dealership is very expensive. To stay compliant with the law you need to place a sticker on the driver door jamb with the last mileage. You can also buy a new or used cluster and send it to a speedometer instrument shop where they can set the mileage. Or buy a used cluster out of a wreck and post both mileages on a sticker in the door jamb.
How you know the cluster was bad? My truck keeps on burning the display fuse after a while being turn on and my alarm won’t work unless I replace the fuse
No, I bought it from a online source that refurbished instrument panels. But from experience any cluster pulled from another like vehicle (provided it has the same option code) will work.

Rony Molina the cluster completely stopped working. All lights and gauges went out.
