Awesome video review! I've been playing playground session for a couple years, with a break in the middle. The icon with the 3 people is the background music. You will love PGS! I'm finished with rookie level. I went feom zero to intermediate. Anyone can learn with the program! Again, great job on the video!
@Will Weld For Food I agree. I have been enrolled for a couple of years, but I stopped playing after 3 months bc of a deployment and then didn't get back to it for a really long time. I'm back to it now. But yes, a year maybe 2 at constant playing should be completed.
Would love to see a review on Pianote. Love your reviews. Thank you.
Thanks for the video! I just got a Casio CT-S1 keyboard which after hours of research seems to be the best cheapest option for me. It’s as cheap as you can go and get sounds to be altered by how hard you hit the keys. It cost $300 with a Bluetooth midi adapter. I’ve been spending ton of research on the best app for learning how to read music. It’s between this or Piano Marvel. I just really like the music on this one better, but Piano Marvel seems like a better learning app. If I could stand the music I would go with it and it’s mostly classical and public domain songs. You can import songs on piano marvel so I might get it. For me tracking progress is a big must have. If playground sessions has that covered well then I’ll stick with it.
Thanks again for this great video. There is just SO little on CZcams I can find. Your several videos have really been excellent.
@7:30 Lightning toggles feedback. When performing its helpful to turn it off so you can play more freely without seeing “incorrect “ red dots on the sheet music.
Good First Impression review. As someone already mentioned the "Three People" icon is to turn on/off the accompaniments. I started a channel to vlog my progress learning to play using PGS, not a review in the sense. I am midway through Advanced but moving slower as it is more difficult. Also, there are parts of learning to play the piano that I think needs to be accomplished before Advanced can be successfully completed without just going through the motions of completing the lessons (i.e. finger strengthen exercises). I look forward to your full review.
Thank you for sharing your insight with us, Darrick. All the best to you!
Useful video. I can read and play chords because Ive been taking traditional piano lessons with a piano teacher. But it's time I’m looking for me to try online piano lesson. I’m looking for online piano lessons that play similar to the tune of the song, not necessarily exactly the same way it plays but at least the tune of the song.
You FINALLY review the best app for learning the piano. Good initial review.
PGS is MUCH better in the desktop version.
Thanks for the review. 👍
Shouldn't there be a follow-up 'comprehensive' video somewhere after you've used the app for a while? You did that with Piano Marvel - and it is those two I'm most curious about comparing?
Thank you for this first impression, it was very helpful.
Now one year has passed and i wonder if the Full Review which you announced is still work in progress?
Nice little painting. Im starting learning piano now, but I actually really would love to play the renaissance lute, but I won't find a teacher nearby
You should revisit this, the iPad app has gotten much better.
Thanks I just downloaded this app
Excellent overview...
Saludos.
As a beginner I have to say I liked PS, however the IPad App is so unstable I will be moving on from PS's. Too many reboots and reloads of the App on iPad. It may be
solid on the computer (IDK) but I prefer the iPad and am mystified how problematic it has been.
do you feel that when learning songs from playground sessions, the songs are not transcribed purposely as the original versions and seem like some notes are totally off sounding just for copyright purposes?
Likely due to level and complexity
I have this website and it's AMAZING!!
Is it traditional music or playing by ear.
When I hit the leftmost key, nothing happens
Yes I got it on my computer free for 15 days and I don’t like and I would not Recommend It and I certainly don’t like it I’ll stick with piano marvel Way much better
like you I think piano marvel is way better
Is the app free or in app purchase?
What if you only have android phone
