"If you put things on the ballot that people want, people will come out and vote for them." Imagine that!
How outlandish!
They can't wrap their heads around the fact that people can and will vote for things they want, and not what Republican thugs tell them to vote. It's very ironic that they call themselves "Republicans", yet they'd be more than happy to establish a dictatorship in the US.
Truly bewildering!
@@user-tn8uu2cu8g there ain't no god period, Allah or non Allah xD
Imagine a politician complaining about voter turnout.
Oh wait, facists hate actually working election, my bad.
Here in Spokane, Washington, we finally got rid of our Republican mayor and city council
Congratulations 🎉
🎉🎉🎉 yay!!!
Maybe now you can get some programs in place for the homelessness.
Was this a real blue wave though ?
@pietrojenkins6901 can't speak for op, but across the border in North idaho, center Republicans swept. That's about as blue as it gets in Kootenai County these days
“A lot of young people come out and vote.” He says that like it’s a bad thing, and that says everything you need to know about the Republican Party.
to the GOP 40 is young lol
They not only voted a diaper-wearing dementia patient into office, but will do anything to get him back in. _That_ tells anyone all they need to know about ‘em.
Those young people, with their pronouns and their rock and / or roll!
so true, so very true.
They believe they are the "chosen few" , chosen by who I don't know.
Whoever those court room artists are, they deserve a medal. Thank you for your service 🫡
There are a lot better things I'd rather be drawing than nazi-trump, and I'm sure other artists feel the same.
So proud of all the people who voted yesterday
It almost seems like calling people on landline phones and asking them how they plan to vote has become an inaccurate polling method. Duh.
And as 2016 proved, just paying Facebook to host them for you is equally bad.
But not necessarily for the reason that you think.
ha ha .. yeah that's exactly what the yellow rag NYT did in the Truman-Dewey election -- they pronounced Dewey as the President (based on worthless poll)
Exactly. All you'll talk to will be nothing but right wing boomers.
The major pollers are also calling cell phones in the last couple years. But, that being said …how many people answer unknown cell calls? So, it’s back to what you said about the results being inaccurate.
How Epic was the New York Chorus outside the Court House Singing "The Crime Family," while Ivanka walked to the Building.
Fun fact, here in Portugal, our Prime Minister resigned yesterday because he was accused of fraud in a trial case
Interesting.
Thank you to everyone who came out and voted!! I cried tears of joy this morning
Me too! And I live in Oregon. I just feel so terrible for so many folks who've lost their freedom to healthcare!
God, I'd love to believe this was the death knell of the GOP!
I voted for Beasher in Ky!
AMEN !!! 🎉
I was oh so proud!
I voted in Virginia last night!
My voting place was packed!
One lady had a three month old chilling in a backpack while she voted. You know people are passionate about something if it’s optional and yet they choose to bag up their baby and go do it.
Thank you and everyone in Virginia that went to the polls. ✨💙☕
I really needed to hear that. I know some conservatives are beyond being reached but I had begun to despair over independents and possibly lack of enthusiasm on the left. I don't understand how someone who has already attempted to overthrow an election and who supported the use of violence against even other conservatives is even in the conversation let alone the frontrunner in some states. 😳😨
I live in Virginia Beach. Eleven percent of the over 300,000 registered voters voted. I was shocked. Decisions are made by people who SHOW UP! Fortunately, Blue won but it could do easily have gone another way. Vote Blue in 2024 but make sure your friends vote, too. Take someone to the polls. Encourage early voting. I voted early. I didn’t want to take the risk I’d be sick in Election Day.
I voted at my dining room table with my automatically mailed out ballot (no need to request it since I am a registered voter) and then meandered over to my local ballot drop box, two weeks ago. Other states really need to adopt the voting system other states use. That's the next issue that should become statewide election initiatives.
Thank you!!
The GOP in a shrill, whiney voice: "Why won't they just let us ruuuule them??"
The people of America are restoring my faith in your great country keep it up
We did our part in Ohio yesterday, and the "if it's cool in Ohio it isn't cool anymore" on issue 2 is fair as we are 20+ to do it but better that we did. The world is a better place today
I spent my first 12 years in Cleveland (I wanted to stay, but my parents were determined to move), and I congratulate fellow Buckeyes for getting the job done on women's right to choose. As far as the other issue, it was a no-brainer. As the old saying goes, what's round on the ends and HI in the middle?
Proud of my fellow Kentuckians!! I waited in line 20 mins to vote and I’m glad the turnout was high.
Thank you..
Jeez, I still don't understand how much of the country still needs to wait more than 5 minutes just to vote. I live on the most-populated island in the U.S. and I've pretty much always have just walked straight into my polling center with little or no delay.
happy Virginian here
Surprised Ivanka had the time to come testify, what with being a hard-working mother of three nannies, four butlers, a chauffeur, and young husband. I think she might have children, too.
😂😂💯
I know, right?
Thank you too all the people who voted, we need to show these Republicans who actually have the power, and it's not them.

The craziest part about the Ohio amendment is that republicans were so confident they would lose they actually tried to pass an amendment in August that would make it harder to pass any other amendments by raising the threshold. They know full well how unpopular their positions are, but as usual rather than changing their stance they choose to make it harder for people to stop them.
Ohioan here! The August special election was originally something the REPUBLICANS tried to make illegal through the state Supreme Court, which actually had passed through a narrow ruling. Issue 1 was proposing to raise Majority rule from 50% to a whole 60%, and would require signatures to be gathered from all 88 counties before a citizen initiative amendment could be proposed. The biggest mistake they made was openly admitting this was an attempt to prevent Abortion from being enshrined, as it only activated more voters to stop them.
It’s funny really, they not only failed to outlaw Abortion once, but TWICE! I am bathing in the glory of this W
Unfortunately, the damn MAGAts are still going to pass abortion bans in Ohio. Yes, the fascist MAGAts are AGAIN going to ignore what voters want.
That pretty much sums up the rethuglican party. Get nothing done, except create chaos.

A big lesson from Tuesday night is that if Andy Beshear can win KY, a Trump +26 state, by more than 5 points then Sherrod Brown and John tester can definitely win in OH and MT next year and Joe Biden can definitely beat Trump. We should start organizing today by donating to candidates in competitive seats and start talking to our friends and family about what’s at stake next year and encourage them to vote. Let’s do it.💙

When a Republican Congressman says "This shows pure democracy doesn't work." I am very alarmed.
Whereas I'm merely chuffed he said the quiet part out loud. They don't gerrymander and suppress votes because they believe in the will of the people.
I don't question it's appropriate to be alarmed, but I'm surprised this information is new to you. Ever since Newt Gingrich did his Sampson impersonation and pulled down the temple in 1991, the GOP has been schooling the feeble minded and/or ignorant among their followers that democracy must be evil, because the "other tribe" had taken it as their brand. And because some of the Ancient Greek civilisations which pioneered democracy featured sexual interchanges they find distasteful (except when it is they who are engaging in them). Somehow they have managed to convinced a large chunk of god-fearing middle Amerrkins that democracy and republicanism are not just mutually exclusive, but opposite ideologies.
They are fond of instancing vile democracies, as though that were the debating equivalent of a slam dunk. Their unspoken but clear implication is that republics, in contrast, are never less than saintly, let alone vile.
Somehow, they seem not to have heard of the People's Republic of China (originally under Mao, which ended rather badly), North Korea (with the previous uber-vile dictator immortalised and nominally in eternal charge of the party and national defense over a decade after dispensing with his corporeal substance), and formerly Cambodia (under the unbelievably villainous Pol Pot), the USSR (perhaps it never filtered into the GOP's festering one-track hive-mind that it stood for Union of Soviet Socialist Republics), and others too numerous to list.
Im always alarmed by the republicans..
They've been saying things like that for quite a while

When voters were asked about Inflation as an important concern regarding their vote, earlier in the year 45% thought it important, last month 36%, this month 31%. Why the change? Because it's gone down. The same as gas prices. How important are abortion rights? The Ohio vote was 57-43 in a red state.

Who would have guess that taking away the rights of half the population to control their own bodies would be so unpopular???😂😂😂😂 Guess you never know what will set some people off 🙄🤦♂️😂😂😂
The men who make the laws in the USA need to get a clue that women outnumber them, & quite a few men, in the general population, do not agree with their idea of making women into their subjugated chattel.
LMAO, they'd been getting their asses kicked pretty regularly *_before_* doing something that stupid. If it weren't for gerrymandering, they wouldn't have any representation left in either house of Congress.
I would say it's more like one-third of the population. Women from the Baby Boom generation and older don't have a need to make decisions about 'their own personal' reproductive freedom anymore. If they are pro choice, it is to show that they stand with the one-third of the US population who are still of child-bearing age.
@vickyabramowitz2885 no I don't but I still care about the younger generation having choice! Me being way past child bearing age has nothing to do with my view on abortion.
@vickyabramowitz2885 yes we do. We can all remember someone who died or rendered infertile by a botched abortion. You have no idea what it was like so you can make grace less comments about other peoples'' experiences. I do not want that repeated for women in my life that I care about. We all have a stake in women's reproductive health and freedom. Children losing their mothers; teenaged girls dying. Women dying from inadequate or nonexistent care. Yes, we do care. We remember and we believe.
Freedom is not free. How can a person, whom I do not know. Control my body. That would make me property of the government. Right?

I refuse to believe Trumps attorney knew he was going to try a read that piece of non-disclosed “evidence” in court. What an insult to the judge. And if they did know…how tragically stupid they should feel.
If they had the mental capacity to rightfully feel stupid or embarrassed, they wouldn't be Trump's "lawyers", would they?
Given how they seem to have adopted his desire to make everything a circus, I wouldn't be surprised in the least to find out that the not only knew but thought it would be a good idea.

This is why I feel like people get too worked up over poll numbers. Same thing happened 2 years ago...everyone assumed Republicans would cruise to a win, instead the opposite happened. Also, who exactly came up with the idea for that app?? And how in the hell did they think it would be beneficial??
That absurd poll had the youth vote split for President Biden by a single point; any poll which doesn't give him a comfortably double-digit lead in that demographic can be safely laughed off.
I have taken polls before, and never once did I think "oh people are going to use this to tell how I'm going to vote, 1+ years from now." The atmosphere they build is more like you getting to vent your frustrations on your candidates while there's still time to fix them, especially for something before anybody's really on the campaign trail. Biden's a good president, maybe even a great one, but definitely not perfect and there's some stuff I wish he'd concentrate on. We all do.
Boiling all of those questions and concerns down to just "Trump or Biden" is like someone asking what your favorite color is, and then forbidding you to wear any other.
The only silver lining is that maybe showing a dead heat or perhaps even the possibility of losing might galvanize voters who might be inclined to sit the election out or vote third party to "send a message." Against any other candidate, sure, do whatever you want. But against even the smallest possibility of another Trump presidency, it's DEFCON 1
The Oafkeepers came up with the app. Reichwing “Christian” Theocrats are notoriously obsessed with sex.😊
Those polls are great in motivating people to get out and vote!
I love me some closer look!
I laughed so hard at that sketch my cat got worried.
Im a Kentucky resident... In fact, i went to high school with Daniel Cameron, the GOP Candidate here in Kentucky. Im soooo glad we pulled thru and re-elected Beshear... I wasn't a fan of Daniel Cameron back in high school, and im even less of a fan now, 20 years later... Good job, KY ...!!
Is there anything you can do about Mich McConnell?!?
@@franksims6452 lol... For the last 30+ years, I've been wondering how Mitch gets re-elected year after year. I've been here nearly my whole life, and I have never met a Kentuckian who likes Mitch McConnell. Atp, I'm convinced that he just buys his seat. He doesn't even campaign. It's like elections come around, and Mitch just stays put. He's definitely paid his way in..there's no way we're voting for him year after year.
Thanks, had to pass that on to some friends. Classic I really wonder if he isn't a animatronic robot like at Disney world's hall of presidents. & Every once in a while he gets unplugged. Have a good one there.
0:26 The Irony of course is she can't go crying to daddy to get out of this. 😂
No, but she can go crying ON daddy to lessen her punishment.
