I just bought one of these guys for my electric overhang lamp. I couldn't find a model number or anything, but it mounds to the wall and hangs over off from the side. And the lamp has a light-tan cable with a leathery/rope coating on it (pretty sure it's the original cable, which might be slightly dangerous lmao). Then there's a weight attached to it so you can raise and lower the lamp as much as you want. It's a really old lamp, but it's super nifty for my setup.
Hopefully you can help me. I have 3 oil lamps I'm trying to replace parts. One lamp has threads on the inside of the neck, where burner fits, screws into. The burner on other is okay, sort of. Problem the wicks are too thick, hard to feed through, width is half inch. Original wick is tight woven with stitching line down middle, easier to adjust. More like a canvas wick. Thanks.
Can you make a video how to select the right burner to a base? I acquired the base with nothing else. I believe what I have is a #2 anchor and Hocking Beacon Hill... I would like to think of about outside options then original.
I was expecting a more technical explaination. Measuring the spring ring holder was good advice to determine the base diameter of the chimney but how does using a taller and different shaped chimney affect the efficiency of the burner and light emitted? 🙏
