All other dragons: Be gone from my lair, lesser creatures!!
Black Dragons: WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN MY SWAMP?!?!
Dragon in a pool of acid tho. Good luck fighting that :3
I've always imagined black dragons having the body type of like a puma or panther, just giant and scaly.
Its Dragon Time! but not only Dragon Time, but BLACK DRAGONS!, already know it will be an awesome episode like always~
Man. Within 6 months, I'll be running Saltmarsh. I needed this from you guys specifically.
Gg, bros
MY FAVORITE DRAGON TYPE!!!
My respect for you guys has grown even more, hearing that you've watched adventure time.
I’m not sure where I heard this, but Im pretty sure a green dragon wouldn’t actually come into contact with a black dragon in a jungle because greens don’t like jungles in the first place. It is much too hot, dark, and moist for the green dragon to actually enjoy the smells and sights of a jungle forest. They prefer a much colder and more temperate environment than they do jungles because of how much they enjoy the smell of the forest. I’m not sure if i’m wrong, but please feel free to fact check me if i am
No you've hit the nail on the head, they enjoy the changing of the seasons in a forest and you do find green dragon in the jungle, it is either a young one in search of a proper home or was kicked out by a more powerful dragon
My favourite black dragon picture is the old dragonlance module with one comming out of a well
I think mangroves would an ideal place for black and blue dragons to clash.
I have to fight a black dragon later on in my campaign so this was really helpful to get me prepared
My homebrew legendary action on black dragons is move half speed and stealth. Also give them the ability to stealth in dim light and expertise/proficiency in stealth. Players freak out when massive black dragon step back into the darkness or slides into the water and hides.
Syndrex the Displeasant and his coven of hag advisers, legion of goblins, orcs, ogres, and trolls, and bullywug, grung, kobold, and lizard-folk servitors.
Oh yeah, super excited to get down dragon by dragon! Cant wait for Green Dragons.... as that's my BBEG!
I've also done the animated breath weapon as like a blob monster from that movie The Blob where the dragon vomits up a certain size animated acid blob and it goes around doing the dragons bidding.
Ahh yes, the reason fish smell like...fish.
I know this is 4 years old but ill always do a spittake when someone else remembers Drakengard
Omg! I was just thinking about putting a black dragon into my game! Thanks!
And you didn't even get to the part where they kill their food, then let it rot in fouled water to get the right taste before they eat it.
I have been waiting for this all week!
I homebrewed some Mossy looking Tree humanoids and called them mosslings. While fighting through a ruined castle in a bog, fighting all different types my players were terrified when piercing yellow eyes glared at them through the murky depths and lunged out snatching the barbarian in it's Jaws pulling him under... The party literally started panicking it was amazing!!
What ended up happening was the barbarian was able to shake himself free somehow with a strength saving throw and grab onto the horns of the black dragon, riding it to the surface, it was honestly one of the most badass things one of my players has ever done
Yes! Favorite time on sundays!
Blacks are my favorite D&D dragons I think. Aside from maybe some of the planar ones nobody remembers.
So do Black Dragons have like a rancid smell or ooze bog water? Giving them constant swamp ass?
Edit: Nevermind you guys explained the bog ass
A behir that swallowed a black dragon wyrmling… nice
Acid rain.. love it..
The first time I ever encountered a black dragon in any way was Onyx from Dragons of Autumn Twighlight. I believe her dragon name was Khisanth.
Another great dragon episode!
Started by listening to the podcast, first time I saw the video. These guys look way different than I expected, ha
I want black dragon do acidic and infection bit and acidic mist breath .
New subscriber and I am enjoying your dragon series. Thanks!
Dragon going melee with antimagic field cast on themselves is fun... for a DM.
Nice more dragon lore!!! Even if the dragon in question is repulsive...
Yess. Ive been waiting for this episode
Sigh, another dragon episode not about the best dragons, the gorgeous greens. Oh well, I'll be patient :)
Zevran08 Grey Dragons are best they spit sticky stuff and are spiky and copy voices and have bat ears. Oh and they eat sentients as normal.
I had an idea for an episode for the year of the Dragon. I know one of the editions has lore about a primordial named asgorath that created Dragon kind. from what little I've seen it seems like the various creation myths for dragons are pretty conflicting so I was thinking maybe you guys at some point could do an episode talking about all the different creation myths for dragons. or maybe a deities and demigods for asgorath. just an idea not sure if you've gone into detail about any of this before so if you have just ignore me I guess.
Been looking forward to this
To me Black Dragosn are the most likely dragons to have e a tourture chamber in their lair. I had always played to the sadistic side of these guys.
yes! another Dragon episode! lovin the year of the dragon! hey any chance you guys plan to do a dracolich episode? I'm borderline obsessed with dragons an undead, lichs in particular so as I'm sure you can imagine that'd be a good episode imo lol.
We will. Probably this year.
The Dungeoncast wish super fast response! awesome can't wait man. and I'm sure in the mean time I'll be kept busy with other awesome content from you guys.
Could you guys do a video/podcast on the dragonspawn of Tiamat? Its hard finding actual derails and stats on the individual spawn
Yey more dragons!
What? Blue dragons and black dragon in Louisiana bayou? What exactly would draw the blue dragon? Blue dragons like deserts.
In regards to magic there is a feat called Innate Magic which is just that! So even the game creators understood these things happen and players would want it.
I seriously can't find the link for the artist on Fiver in the description. I don't know if I'm failing my literacy check or what?
If you read the book Life of Pi the movie the floating island that where the water turns at night to acid compound and the plants around it eat everything I made that into a nighttime legendary action
I don't see the link for the artist you promoted
Or good players grab a decanter of endless water
Episode 144??? Where is the link @Dungeoncast
Put a Black Dragon in SuperQuest Saga. Hahaha.
What's that game name?
First?
Good video. My suggestion would be to try to say “like” a little less. It’s extremely common now for everyone and I have to talk a bit slower to not overuse the word myself.
So it’s your fault they changed the stat blocks of spell casters. Shame on you!
