i think there´s a lot unused inherent features of the green dragon. for example, its cannon that they promote plant growth where they live, so, you could say there was a Dryad or a treant living near and when the dragon died, he/she used the blood and carcass to be more powerfull... or you could just say that part of the treasure you get after killing one its a bunch of rare plants used for alchemy and you need them for a bigger quest

This would be a good villain to have in a small village or hamlet campaign that’s set in the wilderness. I can see this creature employing some Orcs and Goblins to raid nearby settlements for treasure.

as the year of the Dragon continues I continue to be blessed with great content by the almighty dungeoncast as I continue to serve. unlike the beautiful green scales of the green dragons never let it be said that I am green with envy for other who watch this channel for these videos should not be kept to oneself but shared to all so the influence and knowledge of the dungeoncast May be spread and their power shall grow! hey will and Brian this is the part of the comment where I'm not talking about that stuff I was talking about and I just wanted to get serious for a moment and say that we all love you guys just as much as you love us! man I'm glad I stumbled upon your bahamut video a few months ago and discovered your channel and when I did your channel easily became my favorite source of dnd content. thank you will for the extensively information you give us every episode and thank you Brian for all of the awesome jokes you make. the info and jokes work very well together and that's why I and I'm sure many others lobe watching you guys. going through the comment sections of past videos I occasionally saw people give Brian crap for making jokes and whatnot but I just wanna say that you should never feel bad Brian because those people are just rude and you are awesome. anyway this is getting to be a long short rest back to the normal comment!
ok does anyone else think that's green dragons sound a little like gaunter o dimm from the witcher 3 with their manipulative personalites? I can just imagine having a charismatic npc in a campaign end up being revealed to be a polymorphed green Dragon.

The Dungeoncast I completely agree. I know they're just comments on the internet but it legitimately just makes me mad when I see those comments even though they aren't common. oh and I forgot to ask this in my previous comment but I was wondering will you guys be covering the gem dragons at any point? I've seen so many videos on the chromatics and metalics but the gem dragons never seem to get any love. anyway rather you do it or not I'll be eagerly awaiting the next Dragon episode. they only come like once a month and the wait kills me but man is it worth it. lol. you have a good night will. :)
We will definitely cover Gem Dragons. Once we get through all the major Metallics and Chromatics first tho.

If a character is immune to poision does that make them immune to the dragons breath weapon?
Only if the have immunity to Poison Damage. Not if they have immunity to the Poisoned Condition.

I'm pretty late but what happens when an ancient green dragon dies? If it was addressed in the video I must have missed it
most of the forest dies a little but the corps seems to work as great fertiliser for poison or deadly plants

I remember playing dnd with some friends with a very funny and cool dm who still did f*cked stuff, anways after some chaotic start where all of the party died except me a dwarf who was very tall and wide for my race was left bloodied and hurt, dm decided to be a dick and random encounter me idk wat book it was but they rolled 2 dice to choose a page and landed 9 and 2 or something and i got a young green adult dragon, i knew i was f*cked so i said yolo and asked if i could tame it, he asked for some stats which i dont remember, and said that if i rolled 18-20 i could but anything else and i would be merked on the spot anyways i got a green dragon as a broski
ok I have a question about dnd unrelated to this video I'm hoping someone can shed light on for me. and it might be a stupid question.
what exactly are dnd settings?.what i mean is like is say the forgotten realms setting it's own world or are the forgotten realms like a continent/continents? like say are greyhawk and forgotten realms as examples in the same world as their own country's/continents or are they their own separate worlds?
DORIAN Robinette The different settings are different worlds. There’s even a setting called spell jammer where you can use spaceships to go between the different worlds.
Lance, darksun, mtg, ravenloft is a pocket of forgotten realms, greyhawk, forgotten realms, pathfinder.
I need to kill a Green Dragon in my campaign we will probably have to fight it at level 10 what are some good strategies to do so.
