It's actually $100, but us musicians know that Teenage Engineering is one of those "designer" brands that love to make overpriced products. Actually, just by design this thing should be pretty rigid (in relation to it's weight). Push it at any point, or try to bend it. It will not be that easy. It just looks flimsy, but the way the bends are positioned make it really sturdy.đ

Its ridiculously overpriced stuff, theyâre literally selling a midi controller with a bare pcb for 100 fking dollars, when thereâs way better stuff like akai
Surely reinforcing the corners and edges with aluminimum angles would make this more... solid. I do like the concept of shipping PC tower cases in a flat form factor that needs some assembly and metal bending, but it needs more work for sure.
I had their modular 400 synth - I had to build a case for it because 1mm aluminium isn't fit for purpose - every bend will flake paint within a couple of months and snap in a couple of years.
Fun fact that company is also swedish, and a guy that did the exact same program at the same school as me started it. Im applying for a internship next fall!!
