I enjoy yur videos.. my first Muzzleloader was a T/C RENEGADE ...54 CALIBER... I REALLY ENJOYED...AND STILL KEEP A T/C in my possession...54 caliber T/C Hawken was my last Purchase ..
Thanks for the Good Info. Did T/C Renegade ever offer .45cal barrel? Just curious I inherited several Muzzleloader loaders from my passed father- He always tried to get me interested when I was younger but guess just never had time making living raising family- One of guns I have is Very nice original not shot much Renegade w/ 2 barrels .54 & .50cal-Just wondering which caliper I should put my effort to start learning / practicing long range shots- Recommendation on bullets - I have Lee REAL mold for .45cal & .50cal also many bullets that Pops had stocked up like Great Plains several others- Can you recommend Caliper & bullet I should start to learn with? Have both flintlocks & percussion - Have lot shooting experience just not much w/ Black powder- Trying to learn all I can - Thanks for making most informative videos- Much Appreciated! Jack
I have the Williams rear sight for a .54 Cal Renegade. How have you installed the sight to allow the elevator to be fully lowered without it hitting the stock? It currently rubs the stock at the middle setting.
Im trying to find information for the 500 grain 54 caliber i bullet. I can not find any information on line about it. I would really like to get a mold for it. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
I am not familiar with that particular Rifle so i can only assume? I say it will work, Of course You would need to Drill & Tap the Tang, and you might have to remove a very small amount of Wood on the side for the Slider to freely move up & down. Simple to do 👍
@@idaholewis265 I was sure it could be done I wasn't sure if I'd have to remove material or shim the sight once it had been D&T. If I have to shim I may bed the tang and stock if that route will work. I have a TC stock but it's 15/16 so no help there. I'll go a head and order the sight and see what needs done with the Investarms stock, thank you for replying.
Do you have a email Sir. I have a few questions on sights. I picked up a pedersoli Missouri River Hawkins 1:24 twist deal and would like to get out to 300, 400 yards, hunting wide open country here in New Mexico
I cant get enough of your videos, thank you for sharing

Really value your info, appreciate you taking the time to post it, love your videos, Thanks!!
Very good shooting Lew!! That's crazy the difference in the two rear sights!
Love your videos!!
Good info and excellent shooting.
Wow! That round hits hard!
Man that 500 grain bullet really puts a whammie on that steal ..!
Your a bible of info, love your comments.
One of my viewers sent me over here to your channel, just subbed
AMAZING shot!! Wow.
What is weird is the Lyman rear sight I just purchased for an old 22 looks just like the Williams! Nice shooting. Just scored a flintlock 50 renegade.
I enjoyed this video!
I heard years ago, the first few years of production of the 54 barrels were Douglas barrels.
Another great video! Can you do a video on how to do the calculations for long distances. Thanks
YYEAAH WAY TO GO YOUR THE MAN EXXXCELLENT~EEE
Amazing.
I have both of those and both of the TC peep sights.
That tc surprised me
Mount it higher up the tang then the sight is recessed deeper and more stability plus a little more range if you top out again.
Love the the videos. What rest set up do you use?

love your videos, I heard you mention something about an I bullet. Is this something you make?
Thank you
Those Williams sites are just about as hard to find as black powder these days.
Yes unfortunately so, Hopefully they get them back in stock before long, they are an AWESOME Sight 👍
@@idaholewis265 TWO years later and still can't find squat for TC sights!!!
@@jamesdenton3692 That is crazy!
Hi Lewis...
Enjoy your Videos ...
I Have several Pre Warning Thompson Center Hawkens.
Do you recommend the Lyman Front Glode sight 494 or 404 hight?
Do you consider these good hunting sights, or would you stay with the original?
Thanks. Do you ever shoot the TC 45cal Hawkins?
how do you get a baseline setting for 500yds persay
I have the Williams rear sight for a .54 Cal Renegade. How have you installed the sight to allow the elevator to be fully lowered without it hitting the stock? It currently rubs the stock at the middle setting.
What bullet do you recommend for a stock renegade?
Thank a cigarette the rear sight didn't fall completely off. You could put up a piece of tape with a hole in it and have as good a sight as that one.
What weight of bullet were you using in this 500yd shot?
What is in the spray bottle? Mixture ratio?
Lewis. What are your thoughts on Pyrodex powder sub. Thank you in advance
What diameter bullet mold should I order for my tc renegade .54
I would like to know more about that bullet, where can i get the mold for it ?
How heavy is the bullet you’re using?
What’s in the spray bottle?
Where do you get your bullets from
That looks look enough energy to penetrate a buck at 500 yards
Probably a bison.
What diameter does the renegade like
Is your front sight .404 or .494 height ?
Do u know the speed u are at the muzzle
Do you still make videos?
What's in the spray bottle what's in the bottle
Hi Lewis....what's the spray bottle for? Cleaning solution?? Some use windex, window cleaner here in Australia.
It is a solution that i Swab between Shots with, Hoppes #9 and isopropyl Alcohol mixed 50/50, It works really well 👍
@@idaholewis265 just the std. Hoppes #9? Not the Black powder #9?

Will the Williams FP Hawken rear sight work on a Cabela's Hawken/Layman Trade type rifle?
