Im not supporting him in any way but I am just not sure how this is seen as him "stealing the art". From the looks of it he did a redraw of something somebody else did. If anything it looks lower quality. With the logic in the video the person drawing the fanart is "stealing" the art from the original creator of the show. I made this comment expecting to be wrong so please tell me why I am wrong.

As an artist- Sitting down and doing art can cause your hand to strain. So it’s better than being more priced as artists spend half their time on a commission.

He always draws in a style similar to his works of Fairly Odd Parents and it always comes out looking weird when he imports other works into this style. But at this point it's the only thing original about him so can't blame him.

Something u have to understand and others as well u don't need to be a professional artist, chief, musician, etc to tell someone their work is shit, that's life and everyone's opinions matter, in this case with Heartmans art rn, it looks like shit, his colors are too bright and overwhelming to look at, his backgrounds are lazy, and the lighting and body proportions are terrible.

I never said it was good I said it's all he has in terms of originality. I don't like his work personally cause I've seen him draw Sonic as a commission to someone else and I wasn't a fan.

Not only that, Fairly Odd Parents and especially Danny Phantom started to go downhill the more Butch was directly involved. I'm pretty sure that the season DP got cancelled was the season he was the most involved with
I knew it. Wouldn't be surprised if Butch didn't even actually do any real work for TFOP OR any of the other shows. Probably had an amazing team behind him doing everything for him and he just sat around taking all the credit for it.

If you want to see the actual "Butch Hartman" style, look up to Stephen Silver. He worked on The Fairly OddParents, Danny Phantom, Kim Possible, and Tuff Puppy.

The only work on 2 TV specials for the Fairly OddParents, on the channel Chasers special and the Crash Nebula special

You can portray Butch as Ernesto De La Cruz from Coco and put Hector as Stephen Hillenburg because of Stephen’s success and popularity of Spongebob. Butch is jealous that his cartoons are not popular anymore
Expect hillenburg didn't really care for spongebob, he only made it because he wanted to split his love of art and underwater life, and now nobody respects hillenburg for who he actually is, it's all "the creator of spongebob guy" which is kinda spitting in his face to the brilliant guy he was. Hartman is a different story though, he doesn't steal because he's some lame twist villain in a disney movie, he's just two things an airhead and very greedy
Stephen was a pretty humble guy. Although he did create one of the most well-known cartoons in history, he was still very humble about his success and he even seemed self-deprecating about himself at times. He had a great sense of humor and seemed like he would be a fun guy to be around.. he will be missed.
Butch, while I don't outright hate him, seemed to have gotten more condescending over the years. It became more noticeable when he left Nickelodeon.

I feel like the staff of FOP and DP be better for Hector as they’re why those shows are good and Butch is said to be taking credit for their contributions. Also look at what happened to those shows once Butch got too much control of it. They were no longer what they were known for and Bensen was a train wreck which surprise surprise had Butch constantly calling the shots. Tuff Puppy is the only to come out unscathed and that’s cause Nick canned it before Butch could really ruin it.

Remember in Space Jam where NBA Players get the talent sucked right out of them. I believe a similar situation is happening to Butch Hartman, and his commissions that he's doing are the point where all his talent is just gone.
But he didn't have that talent in the first place. Stephen Silver is the artist, he's the talent. Butch just came up with ideas & stories, but even then he had a team. So it's more like Butch Hartman and HIS TEAM that created people's childhood, not just one specific person like Stephen.

Getting stolen art is punishment enough. The buyer is just another victim. But this ought to be a lesson to anyone else silly enough to take Butch's offer.
He probably Googled the character, clicked on the first image he saw without knowing who actually drew it, and copied that pose.

Just hearing about this now and it saddens me I loved Butch Hartman and his shows Danny Phantom, The Fairly OddParents and T.U.F.F Puppy were my favorite childhood shows

It's sad bc this man used to be one of my inspirations. Then I started seeing his new stuff and really started to question it and after learning that basically Stephen Silver really did all the designs for Danny Phantom and I finally opened my eyes to the situation
This isn't even stealing. All art uses references, it's literally fan art, "plagiarizing" a character he didn't invent. He redrew it and changed it to fit his style, that's not plagiarism. That's just using a pose reference to make fan art of a pre established character.
I hope the guy who ordered his commission wasn’t asking him to steal.

And for the high price that Butch charges for his work, a customier deserves better than this. Something original with Butchs own ideas, this pictute just seems lazy.
I mean, sure people can use references and yeah I think there's nothing wrong with it if they practise their skills and give credit.
But someone payed Butch a lot of money to draw an original artwork for him/her and this person got a copied art instead.
I hope you get what my issue here is.

Ignoring the fact that drawing ANIME characters as Western-styled animated versions is the worst thing ever, Butch Hartman is the absolute worst. Yes, he may have created Fairly Odd Parents, but he is very manipulative and is clearly a sociopath. I hate how he hides all this with such a friendly, easy-going attitude. I actually have a friend who met Butch and Butch was very rude.
