    Honda Odyssey, the best minivan beyond doubt. Best family vehicle. We have so many memories in it. We continue to do so. Ever reliable, ever smooth, almost sedan like fuel efficiency, so much storage, innumerable cup holders, theater like DVD player + wireless headphones . i can go on and on about this family hauler. Absolute best for long family road trips. Part of our family.

    Just traded my Pilot for this 2020 Odyssey Elite. I don’t have kids but one test drive and I was hooked. It doesn’t sit much lower than my Pilot FWD and is SO much quieter. The ride is also smoother with good suspension and the fine-tuned 10 speed transmission. Your review helped so much to explain many of the features. Thank you. And for what it’s worth, I actually love the push button shifter! I did grab the water bottle a couple of times when trying to back up, but the solid engagement of the buttons feels intuitive to me. The Elite is loaded, but I also test drove an EXL. The handling and comfort were identical, so if you don’t need the DVD player or hands free trunk opener, you’ll still get an awesome vehicle in the lower trim. Again, thanks for the review!

I am considering (gasp!) switching from an SUV to a mini-van when my current lease is up -- not because I have a bunch of kids but because it seems like a well appointed MV checks all the boxes of an SUV but with more bang for the buck. I have a 2013 Odyssey. I think that it is the best minivan on the market. It's got great acceleration and comfortable to drive. The 2nd and 3rd row seats doesn't look and feel cheap like the others. However, the only thing that I would take points off, which I'm surprised is that it still does not have an option for AWD. The Sienna has it. Not sure what the reason would be for Honda to not make this an available option.

    • @DriversOnly
      @DriversOnly  Před 4 lety

      Most dont offer awd becuase they want buyers to go with suvs. But keep in mind the Sienna AWD uses run flat tires which is more costly.

      @@2R1V3R Apparently Honda's excuse for not wanting to put AWD in their Odyssey is that they would have to "comprise its minivaness" by raising the floor to make space for it. I don't buy it at all because 1) the sienna, and the older grand caravans before the one with stow and go has AWD, and they are very much minivans.
      2) the Honda Odyssey sold in Japan (there are two different Odyssey's!) Not only has does their Odyssey look WAY better and come with AWD, but also as a hybrid that gets like 40-50 mpg LOL.
