The younger versions of the mom and her 3 friends were all pretty funny playing sociopath mean girls. And I liked the running joke that Jamie could literally tell that school receptionist and the Gravitron (?) ride operator anything, and they just took her word for it and complied.

I love Pam Miller's style in the 80s lol. They style was everything to me especially how the Molly's dressed. Reminded me of The Heathers
This was such a fun and cute watch!!! A love letter to the likes of Scream and Back To The Future but also to the evolution of filmography and morals 💕
I liked this movie. Horror comedies are one of my favorite genres. The final killer was obvious. Suspected them from jump. I loved when the mom said "I've expected to be murdered since i was 16. "Thought I wouldn't be prepared?" 😂😂😂 Clever sarcasm is my thing. The daughter was pretty funny too in mistakingly calling her mom in the past. When the mom found out shes be with nlake later on in life was so cute. Her faces were funny. It was giving Rob Schneider. The ending was kind of dull. But i liked it. 3.5 out of 5.
I've developed an abnormal fear of Joseph calling me elderly and critiquing my highlighted hair. 😂 This sounds like a fun romp. Kiernan Shipka was great in Mad Men. Thank you both.

I thought it was hilarious when she had to go back to school and thought the Uniforms reminded her of hooters and then she was getting slammed by dodge ball

Yep! This may be the 'fun' back to the future/slasher/fantasy plot for me - as I find 'crossing timelines stories' sometimes complicatedly annoying!

I really liked it too. It was a very fun watch. I’m a sucker for mystery slashers with human killers. The acting was really good and makes it easier to suspend belief on all those pesky time travel details. I’d like more horror like this. It was a nice homage to other slasher movies and Back to the Future.
Even though I'm a wimp, I might try to watch this, it sounds sweet in a murder-y way!

I see how you can think the mask looks like Max Headroom or maybe even Vanilla Ice to a small degree. But to me the mask low-key looks like Bevis from Bevis & Butt-Head... or better yet maybe a blending of the two

Kiernan Shipka is 23 years old who is from the Riverdale spinoff/Sabrina Teenage Witch remake "Chilling Adventures of Sabrina" that's on Netflix. She was the young daughter of Jon Hamm's character AMC Drama series Mad Men.... Olivia Holt who portrays young Pam in the movie is a actress you might know from the Disney Channel era in the series like "Kickin' It" and Disney Channel Original Movie "Girl vs. Monster". She now in many hit shows like "Marvel's Cloak and Dagger" and now on Freeform popular crime thriller "Cruel Summer".
In the new future Amelia's mom Lauren is a now a well-known bioengineer thanks to Jamie for believing in her and changing the future.

It’s very reminiscent of something like Slaughter High or even Prom Night, but in terms of execution, I think Happy Deathday did this premise better
Just watched the movie. I loved this movie! Excellent review :)
This did work. But way better as a comedy. This review was pretty spot on. Shipka was in Mad Men and Sabrina on Netflix and everyone raves about what a good actress she is, but she definitely needs an "adult" breakthrough role. She is stuck playing teens. The horror was kind of lame and the killers' (two) motives were just told to us and it was pretty underwhelming. Yes, I also agree that they could have been much more brave with the comedy and showed the main character loving the complete lack of consequence and freedom to do whatever you want with no shaming or social media. I kept waiting for it and it never happened. (The "unwanted touching!" line though was the best of the movie, I laughed hard). This kind of reminded me of the "Babysitter" that Netflix did a few years ago, and Shipka probably would have wished it was more like that, as the teen girl there was sexual and sadistic, yet funny, and it was that breakthrough hit for her. I give it like a 6/10, thought it would be terrible and pleasantly surprised, but they did wimp out a little with the comedy and the horror was not there at all. Standard slasher stuff.

Okay guys was it just me or the killer mask looks or is similar to that incident that happened in Chicago i think if i remember correctly. In the 80s or 90s someone hacked into the news stations and til this day that case was never solved. Love that mask 👏🙌🔥
